In Development Pokemon Fellowship In Kanto

Made using Essentials v20.1 on RPG Maker XP

​

Fellowship in Kanto is a new experience where you can play as Red, Leaf, Yellow, nurse Joy and others, in a double battle-based game.
So join our heroes as they Journey together to stop Team Rocket and become the champions.


Features

-New Partner system:
Now you in full control of your partner's team, you can switch to your Partner at any time outside of battle, and they become the main character.

Your partner is not a walking Poke center anymore, any damage in battle will be carry on.
You can trade Pokemon, join\dismiss your partner using the Partner scroll.

The item storage is shared among all characters to make trading items easier.

Red the male protagonist, with his special eevee that can evolve twice. ( bonus EV in battle )
Leaf the female protagonist and red’s childhood friend, with her special Pikachu (based on partner Pikachu) ( bonus EXP in battle )
Yellow : An NPC with a dream, who will change the fat of many. ( Unnatural things may occur )
Joy: With her special Chansey, to become an official Nurse Joy! ( Has the device that will heal you outside of battle )

you can activate co-op mode at the start of new game or From the partner scroll
You can even set controls for a second player from the menu
New : Now the partner can access the mains bag in battle.
Also I made the shared stash accessible anywhere from the pause menu, for convince.

-New mega evolutions and some gen 9 evolutios added

-Change Mega limit to be based on the team not on a character. ( can be increased )

-Stat Change Overlay in battle with the option to turn it off.

-Changes to starters

- Eevee: updating moveset ( Separate file in the game folder), with the addition of multibeam ( special ) and dual fang ( physical ) ,Two types moves for evveelutions, based on flying press, at celadon building roof.

• Pikachu stats and move set updated
• Chansey some change in stats + new moves ( including the newly added move LAST HEAL )+ EVIOLITE now works on her.

The story so far

After defeating team rocket at the pokemon tower, our heroes now journey toward Fuchsia to face the 5th GYM leader KOGA , and explore the Safari Zone, while making as many allies as possible, on the way!

The story stops just before the raid on the Silph Co. and the clash with team rocket take place, most of the map is now opened except for Saffron city and some unfinished areas.

Oke so I restarted the game, and though of the thing you mentioned the 'solo run'

I have re run the game 5 times now, Leaf the female one. Automatic start, and then her pika runs off. I ignore her and then get the pokedex, then she is gone without me interacting with her.

After that I go to the book, I can go become her whatsoever except the name or 'char' is not shown, after going to gym 1, without becoming leaf. I cannot enter the Gym ( 2 player needed blond cashier boy hint) I go get that blond boy and then I cannot become Leaf, she just dissapeared from my game fully. She is not outside Pallet town, only the blond boy can be chosen.
Therefore I cannot go the Team rocket way or the Solo way as you mentioned. I am forced to use a double char for the run sadly.

Was able to ask Black how to do it, after not helping Leaf/Pikachu you have to talk with the blond cashier boy below the mart, then during the cutscene where he jumps some girl and asks for help you choose not to help him and then make sure he loses (just spam tail whip) and then he gets upset and leaves. The game then activates the solo run.

Also Leaf being able to be selected by default on the blank character select menu is a glitch.

Here I am back again with the same bug I told before with the co-op. This time with the single player one.

As you said I followed the steps let the Cashier faint, left leaf alone and went on. I was able to do everything as follow up till the same team rocket thingy with the boat. It doesn't move whatsoever, I do have the patch within my files etc but for solo player its not fixed.

Beat Green with 1 faint.

Tried 3x same bug with frozen screen.


Team rocket progress, I did 'join' team rocket atleast I got the invitation, I let the team rocket grunt take the pokemon from the girl.

Do you perhaps have a Discord server that is game related? If you do not are you planning on making one or?

I think that is way easier to put in bugs, or for me personally to find faster updates on the game.

Sorry for the delay, I was planning on releasing it 2 weeks ago, however I found some bugs in co-op mod that took some time to fix.

good news is there will be multiple save system, so you can try different scenarios, ( much needed )
co-op is a thing now, even if it is not complete.
exp candies for you and your partner ( less grind ).
optional lvl cap.
new characters
quest system
and more

however they are not fully tested yet, the story up to where you get the Pokeflute is almost finished, So I would say 2 weeks max ( fingers crossed )

The bad news is with all these new additions you are going to need a new save, just this update .
Moving forward it's going to be simple patches, and your save files should be safe.

Hello.

I think there may be a bug in the game because my game keeps crashing. After beating Lt. Surge, going back to Route 9, Kris walks up to me and after the game crashes. I don't know if I am supposed to do anything before or not. Any help?

Loving the new update so far! Especially Hard mode, as I overleveled myself on 1.0.4 by doing Ev training. I have had 2 concerns though. On the beedrills attack quest, it says (optional: defeat the beedrils). If there is supposed to be a reward specifically for doing that, I never got it, though if that's just a clever way to get people to explore and discover if anything changed in the forest for that sequence, then I think that's brilliant and I love that. I think that's what you intended, but not positive. I only discovered my Blueberry in the kitchen last time, so keeping my eyes open this time!

The second issue isn't really a problem for me right now, but I could see other people having issues with it, so I thought I'd bring it up. When you switch characters, it seems like they each have a memory of what save file they last used, so when you first unlock Joy, she will try to save to File A instead of the file Red has last saved on, File D. This isnt a major problem usually, but since there are branching paths with team rocket, someone could possibly overwrite the wrong save accidentally, especially with speed up on. Not planning to do a Rocket Run yet, but when I do I plan to use the last 4 files, and use the first 4 for my main run to avoid save problems.

I am absolutely in love with this game so far, thank you for all the love and care you've put into this wonderful experience!

Glad you like the new addtions, I kinda had to add the hard mode, with the addtion of the exp candies system, to keep the game balance.

for the beedrill attack, I did put "optional" because there is actually a reward that you can get only at this part of the game, however you have to go through the beedrills, or try to avoid them, I didn't think anyone has found it before so I made the quest.

for the second issue, I kinda noticed it before but didn't know why it is happening, but now I know what casing it, thanks for mentioning it, I will add a warning in the main post about it, but because it is connected to other plugins I am using It might not that easy to fix, so I will try to fix it once the main story line is over I guess.

sorry for the late reply i must have missed your post,
this hapens probably becaus you need t omake a new save. starting from patch 1.1.0 your save file should be safe.

Hello,

There is a softlock at Rock Tunnel.

If you get defeated after the team rocket and the rock going down you go back at the last pokemon center and you can't finish rock tunnel because you can't use rock smash.

yeah, I can see the problem here,

The guy giving rocksmash is in MT.moon first floor up right corner, but i will add it to the pokemoncenter near the entrance too, next patch.
also glarian Farfetch'd (character 3 starter) can learn it at lvl 15 .
