After 2 (!!) years of development, we're here! 2.0 is now out and ready for both manual and launcher downloads. This marks the completion of main story content for Tectonic, from starter selection to credits. This is a huge milestone for the game, but far from our last. Tectonic Dev is still hard at work on post-game and side content as well as polishing the game as best we can. If you haven't already, check us out at our new Twitter (https://twitter.com/TectonicFangame) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@tectonicfangame) accounts to keep up with our development (and also Eevee Expo when that comes out)!

Before going into any details, I'd like to give a thanks to our community for their feedback, participation, and contributions to making Tectonic the best game it can be. To all our players: thanks for making the game worth creating.

2.0 marks the beginning of the Beta phase of development. We now have a fairly full product that we're proud of, but we're trying to go above and beyond to make the best game that we can. 2.02 is out, fixing some of the bugs we've found in the last patch!

2.0.2 Changelog Battle Tweaks
  • The Tribal Bonus counts readout is more clear on what you've gotten the threshold for If you have an active tribal bonus, it will be listed in the right side of the Battle Info menu
  • Aggravate has been nerfed to a 50% increase instead of a 100% increase.
  • Clamperl's level up learnset is no longer tiny

Battle Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where Defiant (and similar abilities) only raised their stat by 1 instead of 2 Fixed the Loud ability not working
  • Fixed Damp Rock (and similar items) not working
  • Fixed Linebacker not working, and Reckless using Linebacker's code
  • Fixed Obstruct and Reverb Ward not resetting between rounds
  • Fixed the effect of Charge not working
  • Fixed a softlock that could occur if an enemy activated Power Lifter when you only had 1 able pokemon

AI Fixes
  • Fixed some issues that would cause unusual popups while the AI was trying to calculate its move choice
  • Fixed the AI statusing your pokemon over and over even though you have shed skin or hydration (in rain)
  • Fixed the AI not using stat up moves
  • Fixed the AI using protect against two-turn moves that pierce protect

Other Fixes
  • Fixed the MasterDex "wild item" search requiring exact names instead of partials
  • Fixed a bug that would cause a legendary pokemon to appear where they shouldnt
  • Fixed some area names being mislabeled on the town map and on route signs
  • Fixed Frostflow Farms Center lacking metadata (and therefore a abraporter return point)
  • Fixed Zacian/Zamazenta not being summonable from their avatar totem (with the Primal Clay)

An update on what we're working on right now!

We've created a Team Showcase screen. This screen is accessed from your party screen by pressing the "Special" keybind ('D' by default). Also, every time you earn a badge (or complete a similar major objective) the game will automatically open this screen and take a screenshot . That way, when you finish your adventure, you'll have easy access to a history of your party! We're still working on this feature, so we'd appreciate your feedback before it releases in the 2.0.3 patch.

Internally, we're working on two major things right now:
The Regi Dungeons: Oops No Puzzles Edition
We've been delaying these because we wanted to include puzzles in them, but we've been unable to find a puzzle designer. Once we do, we'll revamp these dungeons with puzzles included. If you're interested in designing puzzles for Pokemon Tectonic, please fill out our recruitment form and we'll respond ASAP.

Weather Overhaul: Eclipse and Moonglow
2 new weathers, each with a unique special effect! Each will release with a full suite of synergizing abilities, moves, and items. Alongside this update we'll also be adding a dozen or so new weather synergy abilities for existing weathers. The Weather Overhaul will probably release with 2.1 (March 10th). If you're interesting in getting your hands on these weathers early, consider joining our Quality Assurance team!

Hello everybody! We're back again with a preview of the the 2.1 update (releasing March 10th)

➤ We're doing another batch of early route reworks! Say goodbye to the Wet Walkways, the Floral Rest, and the Jungle Path. In their stead we'll have 3 new maps with unique concepts. For example, a new river delta map will be placed where the floral rest once was:

➤ Developer Divock has been hitting the ground running with custom animations for our new moves. He's finished over 10 so far, including an epic animation for Haerobic's signature move 'Hare Heroics'!

➤ All Hisuian forms have been implemented, alongside new signature moves and abilities. How will you acquire them? You'll have to find "Origin Ore" while exploring Makya. A new NPC in Grouz can transmute this ore into any of the 5 Hisuian base forms (seen below). You can also use the ore to evolve non-Hisuian pokemon into their unique Hisuian evolutions, if they're above a certain level threshold. For example, Stantler can now evolve into Wyrdeer if you use an Origin Ore on it above level 33.

I already playing the game, i be honest i think the gameplay and mechanics is pretty good the masterdex is good addition, the avatar battle is fun and the region is well design, but the plots is little bit lackluster i think

I hope you don't mind about this and i hope you stay healthy 🙏🙂

wow, this project sounds insane! and i mean that in a nice way, rebalancing while adding all pokemon with new moves and abilities? yowza! that's a LOT of work i can imagine, since even Game Freak themselves havent performed such an undertaking in all the years they've been making Pokemon with Nintendo.

Today's preview theme is "shiny"!

➤ We're making heavy progress on the miniature versions of the Regi Dungeons. Come 2.1, you'll be able to experience their aesthetics, get a small taste of their puzzles, and finally be able to capture the Regis themselves! Update 2.1 will also come with new signature moves and abilities for all 5 of the legendary golems. Here's a look at the shiniest Regi dungeon, the "Mirror Tundra.":

➤ A new NPC (found near the entrance to Prizca West) can take a Gleam Powder and a hefty fee to turn one of your Pokemon shiny! No longer will Gleam Powder's go unused because you already caught the Pokemon you'd want to make shiny!

➤ A new regional form is coming... well, two actually! Makyan Wurmple will be able to evolve into either a snowflake Beautifly, or a rocket-propelled Dustox!
