FAQ:

Q: Where do I go after __? Where do I find ? How do I evolve _? etc.
A: Play the game. If you explore enough and interact with things enough, you will naturally find the answers to your questions. We are not here to hold your hand, because you should not need your hand held. So try to refrain from asking questions like that unless you have exhausted all your other options.

I designed this game to reward your curiosity and promote discovery. Just play the game.

Q:What emulator do I use? Can this be played on Mac?
A: None, this can only be played on a Windows operating system. After extracting the download, open the game folder, then open the Game.exe (little galaxy pokeball icon). It runs by itself.

Q: Are there Mega Evolutions? Nuzlocke mode? Following Pokemon?
A: No.

Q: What are the shiny odds?
A: ~1/3000, and nothing is shiny locked.

Q: What about ability capsules or nature mints?
A: Also no. But there is a nature changer in Hazeport. There's also an ability changer in the post-game.

Q: How rare are Hidden Abilities?
A: There is a 1/200 chance of a wild encounter having it, but roaming overworld encounters are far more likely to have them. The chance increases as you collect badges, as well.

Q: How do I update my game?
A: Your save is located in a different location, so you can just delete the old versions folder, then download and extract the new one.

Q:Where is my save file?
A: C:\Users[User Name]\Saved Games\Pokémon Infinity
Q: How long/ how many badges are there?
A: 5 badges and a four person tournament. Then, if you make the right decision, there is post-game content. Average play time has been ~20 hours, ~30-40 with post-game.

Q: Where is Astral Stone and Miracle Seed?
A: Searidge Town, after you get Cut

Q: How do I make the game full screen?
A: You can't. There are 3 window size options in the game that you can access from the options menu, full screen is unfortunately not one of them.

Q: When do you get the Exp. Share?
A: You get the Exp. Router shortly after the first badge.

Q: What Pokemon are all in this game?
A: 1st through 6th gen, and 100+ new fakemon. Here's the dex, beware spoilers. https://p-infinity.fandom.com/wiki/Pokédex

Q: Can I use __ for my own project?
A: Consider everything private, but if you want to use something, I'm open to discuss it. I can be pretty open with tiles and other resources, but some stuff I want to keep private for Infinity. So just contact me if there's something you want to use, I may be more generous than you'd expect.

Q: Is there a speed-up button?
A: Yes, use Ctrl to cycle through 3 speed options (normal/fast/faster) Use with caution, speed up functions may cause unexpected gameplay issues.

Q: Are the key layouts customizable?
A: No, but I would just use an app called JoyToKey, it allows you to set up custom configurations for any apps/controllers. https://joytokey.net/en/

Q: Is there a wiki?
A: It is very new and in development, any help with filling it out would be appreciated.

Q: Can I play this on my phone?
A: There is an app called JoiPlay that is able to play on Android phones with minimal issues.

Is there a way to go to the store to buy some of the Held items? like the power bands? I already have one of each, I just like having more then one due to odd numbers,
and if the Ice fossil pokes do have a HA, do I just consistently restart to get the HA? or can you find them in cracks in walls?
Yes, post game there is a vendor with a booth in the south east part of Hazeport City who sells many held items, including rare candies. Aside from that there is also a vendor on the second floor of the department store in the same city who may sell additional ones the first vendor does not.

Yes you can get a revived fossil pokemon with the HA, I got very unlucky and it took me a very long time before settling for one with just okay stats, but it is possible. What I wish I knew later was also post-game, you can unlock an npc who can change any pokemon's ability to one of your choice for a price which includes the hidden abilities for pokemon.
As for cracks in the wall, not in my experience and I think it's unlikely.

You get the red shards from where Mesprit was sitting in the cave you found all three. Don't need to catch any of them to get the shards. As for tips on finding them, I can't offer any. Only that the encounter rate for the areas they go to are high so I've encountered them a lot even though I'm not looking for them.

Also if anyone else can help with this or if I'm just misunderstanding: Kecleodon has 140 base speed as described in the notepad txt, but in game, even with +spd nature and high IVS, mine has really low speed despite the base stats describing it as their highest stat. Is that intended and they're supposed to have low speed?
What are the places they go to where the encounter rates are high? I caught Azelf, trying to get the other two now🙏🏼

How does fossil reviving even work? It's clearly-not-leave-the room-and-come back based. Is it time-based? Or Step-based?

This was easily the best fanmade pokemon game I've ever played. I loved the new pokemon variants and fakemon, the areas were great, and nothing about it felt tedious. It was well paced and extremely well done. My only problem with the game was with its controls. The controls were a little wonky to get used to and I would have preferred to at least be able to customize them (along with the addition of a speedup button) but I still enjoyed the game a lot. I did 2 playthroughs with 2 different starters and 2 different teams and it was great both times. For anyone reading through these comments I recommend giving Pokemon Infinity a shot.

Slowly playing through Infinity off and on, so far I've enjoyed it. The spritework is good and the mapping really works nicely with RMXP's map changing quirkiness. I went with Bulbasaur but the rest of my team I haven't decided on.

When I try to go down the ladder in upper koros cave, the one which we reach by using rock climb, as soon as I go down the ladder the game freezes and I can't move at all, it sucks cuz I wanna catch Mewtwo and now I can't cuz the game just freezes as soon as I go down the ladder and there is no other way to get to the area where Mewtwo is

Howdy! First of all, I have thoroughly enjoyed Pokémon Infinity and would like to give the biggest of commendations to Atomic Reactor! Having only ever played Sword previously, I have truly appreciated getting to hunt for all of the Pokés that I never got to catch in their original games. Incredibly well-made game and some very clever dialogue; 10 out of 10, would recommend.

I do have a question about postgame content, specifically, the Roaming Pokémon (Latias/Latios/Raikou/etc.); traditionally, after encountering the Roaming Pokémon for the first time, you can track them using the Pokédex, which shows the Pokémon's current location. However, in Infinity, after encountering two Roaming Pokémon while Surfing, both are providing "Area Unknown" for their locations in the Pokédex; is this the intended mechanic? If so, is anyone aware of how to find these roaming Pokémon more consistently or is it purely blind luck? I've attempted to find an NPC who might have information on how to catch the Roamers but have been unsuccessful.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Loving the game my only complaint is no fullscreen but it's not that big of a deal for me also love that you gave the stats teirs as well since the numbers alone were just arbitrary numbers to me in normal pokemon so much was done right to make this masterpiece its funny I really don't usually do reviews

Roaming pokemon are pretty hard to track, for the Dogs, Lake spirits, and Genies. there's about 30 maps they can be on. However the Eon duo is much easier to find as they can only appear on 6. The eons appear on the 6 main surfing maps: Haytide cape, Dune bay, Whirl rock, Seatide ridge, the Sanctum, and dewdrop coast. You'll know if a legendary is in the area if its music starts to play when you encounter a wild pokemon. (Even if you dont encounter the actual legendary the music is a sign that its in the area) the only way ive been able to track all the others is with debug.

I've see in change log there are a ability changer. Where i can find him?
How do you make your own?
