You wake up in the middle of a forest with no recollection of who you are.
With the help of a local professor and his assistant,
you are thrust into an adventure around a mysterious island in hopes of regaining your memory.

FAQ:

Q: Where do I go after __? Where do I find ? How do I evolve _? etc.
A: Play the game. If you explore enough and interact with things enough, you will naturally find the answers to your questions. We are not here to hold your hand, because you should not need your hand held. So try to refrain from asking questions like that unless you have exhausted all your other options.

I designed this game to reward your curiosity and promote discovery. Just play the game.


Q:What emulator do I use? Can this be played on Mac?
A: None, this can only be played on a Windows operating system. After extracting the download, open the game folder, then open the Game.exe (little galaxy pokeball icon). It runs by itself.

Q: Are there Mega Evolutions? Nuzlocke mode? Following Pokemon?
A: No.

Q: What are the shiny odds?
A: ~1/3000, and nothing is shiny locked.

Q: What about ability capsules or nature mints?
A: Also no. But there is a nature changer in Hazeport. There's also an ability changer in the post-game.

Q: How rare are Hidden Abilities?
A: There is a 1/200 chance of a wild encounter having it, but roaming overworld encounters are far more likely to have them. The chance increases as you collect badges, as well.

Q: How do I update my game?
A: Your save is located in a different location, so you can just delete the old versions folder, then download and extract the new one.

Q:Where is my save file?
A: C:\Users[User Name]\Saved Games\Pokémon Infinity
Q: How long/ how many badges are there?
A: 5 badges and a four person tournament. Then, if you make the right decision, there is post-game content. Average play time has been ~20 hours, ~30-40 with post-game.

Q: Where is Astral Stone and Miracle Seed?
A: Searidge Town, after you get Cut

Q: How do I make the game full screen?
A: You can't. There are 3 window size options in the game that you can access from the options menu, full screen is unfortunately not one of them.

Q: When do you get the Exp. Share?
A: You get the Exp. Router shortly after the first badge.

Q: What Pokemon are all in this game?

Q: Can I use __ for my own project?
A: Consider everything private, but if you want to use something, I'm open to discuss it. I can be pretty open with tiles and other resources, but some stuff I want to keep private for Infinity. So just contact me if there's something you want to use, I may be more generous than you'd expect.

Q: Is there a speed-up button?
A: Yes, use Ctrl to cycle through 3 speed options (normal/fast/faster) Use with caution, speed up functions may cause unexpected gameplay issues.


Q: Are the key layouts customizable?
A: No, but I would just use an app called JoyToKey, it allows you to set up custom configurations for any apps/controllers. https://joytokey.net/en/

Q: Is there a wiki?
A: It is very new and in development, any help with filling it out would be appreciated.

Q: Can I play this on my phone?
A: There is an app called JoiPlay that is able to play on Android phones with minimal issues.

After spend some hours in wiki and game, i'm found out that some move can't be get like extreme speed on dragonite or stealth rock on tyranitar. Can mod add those move to the game some way? tks alot

Those are both egg moves. That's listed in pokemon.txt, like I said earlier. You don't have to spend hours combing through things, just look at the file and see what moves are listed.

When is this game complete? Because in the description can we read that the game is complete, but at the top of the page can we read that the game is a playable demo. In this current version can we get only 5 badges. So when is this game really complete?

You're looking at the tags on the post, which were made when the game was in demo form. What's more important is the header of the thread, which lists it as Complete, and says "This project is complete. Any future revisions will be bug fixes or small updates."

The game only has five badges, that's just how the story is. Nothing about the game in its current form implies that it's only a demo, or that there would be another eight badges - if you just keep playing, it's pretty clear when the main story gets complete.

(And in general, fangames don't operate on set deadlines - asking when something is going to complete is just going to be met with "whenever it's done")

Does anyone where the 8 hiders are in the post game hide-n-seek game (the 8 around the island)? I've found 7; stonedust peak, Palkhan trail, genisis forest, Ridgestone Cemetery, Amber Trail, Dunestone Desert, and Hayfield Path (if anyone wants more specific description, just ask). I'm tearing my hair out trying to get the last one.

Also thanks for the HM update, no more HM slave rufflet :)

So I caught the regional Happiny in the Safari Zone, but it wasn't holding an Oval Stone. So is there another way to get an Oval Stone so I can evolve my Happiny?

Edit: nvm, someone in the Discord said you can get it through mining.

Made this account just to write this, I shall start off by saying I love this game. The Fakemon look awesome and well made, you can confuse them for actual pokemon if you havent kept in touch with a pokemon game, I like the concept of the multiverse and having infinite possibilities, the region despite looking small has a lot of worldbuilding that makes it refreshing even for a sprite game and the story is what you would expect from a normal pokemon game but shrouded in mystery thanks to the new team, team Fate. However I wasn't so pleased with the twist at the end.

To the ones that played the game to the end (but not post game), in the context of the multiverse it seemed like it would fit pretty well, your main character is technically you from the future and Dr. Thorn is you from the even far future, but the possibility of them being from other timelines that arent exactly your direct character would also be a nice touch, like the concept of alternate timelines in something like DragonBall Z

Now I want to say before I continue, I love games, I see games as a form of escapism from the real world and by that I mean that the immersion that you can feel from a game can become so real that it becomes a sort of an 'alternate reality' where its nothing like the real world you live in, no worries about the problems of real life. I see games as another world that you can be in to enjoy yourself without having real life troubles ruining the immersion. Unfortunately thats where the game took a twist and I grew bitter at the story.

Yes I know there were hints of that being the case, when you go into Dr. Thorn's machine and whatnot, its still hard to pin point it because there are ghost pokemon and Darkrai of all things there, which honestly at first made me think Darkrai had something to do with it, not straight up a coma induced fictional world. But again, it could've really had fit into the game without the whole 'Its all a dream/imagination' schtick by simply going the route of 'in another parallel universe your character was set into a coma by Darkrai and you ended up here in this reality instead' or something of the sort.

I'm sorry, I want to enjoy this fangame, I really do, but you mean to tell me that at the end nothing of this matters? Your adventures? The region that you got immersed into? The people and fakemon that you've met? The team you created? The hard work you had and time you wasted were all for naught because this entire stuff was a 'figment of your imagination'? To top it off, its because you are in a coma? Like I said I really want to like this game, I still think it is a great game, but that last part of the story just really ruined the experience for me. To think I finally found the perfect fangame that I was willing to put effort in, not just finishing it from beginning to end but actually wasting time exploring it just for in the end to not matter because it was all just a dream is a massive 'bruh' moment, I was never a fan of these kind of twists and I am a lot less now.

The funny part is that this could have worked any other way, the concept of the multiverse opened so many possibilities, Dr. Thorn could've used Arkhaos powers to send the player into an alternate reality where pokemon don't exist and it places you in the role of a kid with coma having just woken up (That actually may be my headcanon of this honestly) and then to go back to your real real world you have to fall asleep again as weird as it sounds, or anything else really, its a lot better personally than the end result the game gave (aka Ash is in coma theory). That one line the 'None of this is real. Its all a figment of your imagination.' really turned me off from the game. That one single line. Unsure if I will pick it up again because there is really no point in wasting my time playing it for... Nothing according to the story.

I still think this fangame is great and I have to compliment you on the work you put into the game but I'm really really disappointed with the ending.
