FAQ:

Q: Where do I go after __? Where do I find ? How do I evolve _? etc.
A: Play the game. If you explore enough and interact with things enough, you will naturally find the answers to your questions. We are not here to hold your hand, because you should not need your hand held. So try to refrain from asking questions like that unless you have exhausted all your other options.

I designed this game to reward your curiosity and promote discovery. Just play the game.

Q:What emulator do I use? Can this be played on Mac?
A: None, this can only be played on a Windows operating system. After extracting the download, open the game folder, then open the Game.exe (little galaxy pokeball icon). It runs by itself.

Q: Are there Mega Evolutions? Nuzlocke mode? Following Pokemon?
A: No.

Q: What are the shiny odds?
A: ~1/3000, and nothing is shiny locked.

Q: What about ability capsules or nature mints?
A: Also no. But there is a nature changer in Hazeport. There's also an ability changer in the post-game.

Q: How rare are Hidden Abilities?
A: There is a 1/200 chance of a wild encounter having it, but roaming overworld encounters are far more likely to have them. The chance increases as you collect badges, as well.

Q: How do I update my game?
A: Your save is located in a different location, so you can just delete the old versions folder, then download and extract the new one.

Q:Where is my save file?
A: C:\Users[User Name]\Saved Games\Pokémon Infinity
Q: How long/ how many badges are there?
A: 5 badges and a four person tournament. Then, if you make the right decision, there is post-game content. Average play time has been ~20 hours, ~30-40 with post-game.

Q: Where is Astral Stone and Miracle Seed?
A: Searidge Town, after you get Cut

Q: How do I make the game full screen?
A: You can't. There are 3 window size options in the game that you can access from the options menu, full screen is unfortunately not one of them.

Q: When do you get the Exp. Share?
A: You get the Exp. Router shortly after the first badge.

Q: What Pokemon are all in this game?
A: 1st through 6th gen, and 100+ new fakemon. Here's the dex, beware spoilers. https://p-infinity.fandom.com/wiki/Pokédex

Q: Can I use __ for my own project?
A: Consider everything private, but if you want to use something, I'm open to discuss it. I can be pretty open with tiles and other resources, but some stuff I want to keep private for Infinity. So just contact me if there's something you want to use, I may be more generous than you'd expect.

Q: Is there a speed-up button?
A: Yes, use Ctrl to cycle through 3 speed options (normal/fast/faster) Use with caution, speed up functions may cause unexpected gameplay issues.

Q: Are the key layouts customizable?
A: No, but I would just use an app called JoyToKey, it allows you to set up custom configurations for any apps/controllers. https://joytokey.net/en/

Q: Is there a wiki?
A: It is very new and in development, any help with filling it out would be appreciated.

Q: Can I play this on my phone?
A: There is an app called JoiPlay that is able to play on Android phones with minimal issues.

I am having trouble collecting the red shards. I am guessing you get them by catching Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf, but i cannot find them anywhere. Usually roaming legends have something on the map in the dex, but this game doesn't. Are there any tips on knowing at least SOMETHING about where to go to find them?
You get the red shards from where Mesprit was sitting in the cave you found all three. Don't need to catch any of them to get the shards. As for tips on finding them, I can't offer any. Only that the encounter rate for the areas they go to are high so I've encountered them a lot even though I'm not looking for them.

Also if anyone else can help with this or if I'm just misunderstanding: Kecleodon has 140 base speed as described in the notepad txt, but in game, even with +spd nature and high IVS, mine has really low speed despite the base stats describing it as their highest stat. Is that intended and they're supposed to have low speed?

That's its Special Defense, not its Speed. Stats in Essentials games go HP, Attack, Defense, Speed, Special Attack, Special Defense. All the Fakemon are on the wiki now, though, so you don't need to use pokemon.txt for any info on them. (Except tutors and TM moves, but those are in TM.txt)

Would anyone happen to know the fastest or most efficient way to teach Dragon Dance to Scalarva? I have not beaten the Echorock gym yet to give you an idea of where I'm at in the game (pretty early on). My plan was to teach it to Scalarva through breeding it with a typical DD user but I'm not sure if there are even any available this early on. My Scalarva is also male so I think I would need a female one right? Unless I have a Ditto obviously.

I beat the secret final boss(; Thank you so much Atomic Reactor. Your game is truly something special, and, as a casual gamer, I appreciate you and all your team's hard work and dedication. Not only did it blow me away in terms of a Pokémon game, but as a game in general. Absolute masterpiece and easily in my top 3 favorites of all time. I'll continue to play until I figure out all the little secrets. Again: Thank you!! - Rob <3

Has anyone had any luck finding the Move Tutor for Dark Pulse? That part of the wiki is blank and I could really use some help finding it as I haven't found anything by searching around either.

I’m trying to snag a moonstone from a Clefairy in the Moon Stone Path using thief, and the move never steals an item (not even berries). I mean, I know the moonstone is hard to find, even on a Clefairy, but it’s driving me bonkers, lol. I tried thief first, then just caught the Clefairy (to see if it was actually holding anything). I caught 6 of them, and 3 had Leppa berries. Why couldn’t I have stolen those when I tried thief?

I’m wondering if it’s just me, or if anyone else is having this issue? Excellent game! I’m thoroughly enjoying it! 😁👍🏻

Update: Thanks to a combination of Frisk and Thief, I finally got that Moon Stone! Totally worth it to get my team’s star! 🤩 Thanks for the help guys!

I managed to snag a Long Club from a wild Cubone using Thief, which worked just fine. Not sure about the Moon Stones, but just to confirm Thief seems to be working. 🙂

If you haven't picked this one up yet there is a moonstone on one of the two rocks right next to the explorer npc in Palkhan Trail (he's by the first bridge if you're coming from the east, he's directly to the right of the rock without the item and the second will have the stone).
