About This game is made in GB Studio. You can read more about it here. In short, it is a game-maker that allows you to create your own Gameboy Game. Seafoam was me trying something different, for a change. I'm glad I took the opportunity to do something new. It was a crazy challenge to teach myself a new engine and work within its limitations in just over a month. I have no plans to go back and make major changes to this game, though. I'd much rather concentrate on other projects. Pokémon Seafoam tells the story of a Rayquaza who washes up on an island plagued by a strange fog. On the surface, it seems as if no amount of Hyper Beams can solve the problem. Rayquaza sets out to prove the fog wrong... Features Platformer levels Shoot-em-up levels Attack in top-down mode Screenshots The Download & Playing the Game This download is a Gameboy ROM. Not a patch that you need a ROM for, the actual ROM itself. Normally, posting ROMs is a no-go on forums like Relic. However, this is not a ROM hack. While the game has Pokémon story elements/visuals in it, I have not used the base of any Pokémon game to make it. For transparency's sake, I did consult with staff about whether I was still allowed to have the download link to the ROM here. They gave me the ok to post it. Now, about controls - the default controls (and the ones stated in the game) are your arrow keys, Z (A button), X (B button), Enter (start), shift (select). However, this will not be the case depending on what the defaults are for your emulator buttons. Just download the ROM and play on the GB/GBC/GBA emulator of your choice! My testers and I used: 1. Visual Boy Advance 2. Retroarch 3. It's fine to save/load past that, though. Known Bugs Kabuto & Gastly in Bandit's Gorge - these events like to vanish whenever they feel like it. Occasional inability to interact with events - just try switching around maps or getting a game over. This should reset your ability to talk to events. Occasional invincibility - I added multiple checks throughout map transfers in the game to reset the damage counter, should you run into this. Occasional invisible doors - some of the time a door that should be blocked will not show the blocked door graphic until you leave the room and come back. Other Notes While I originally designed this game with a run button for the overworld stages, it caused too many problems with collision/other event interactions/button mapping. There were just too many problems with it, and I couldn't dedicate all my time in the jam to finding ways to make it work properly. Hey fellas! Today I bring a small project I made during the Passion Week holidays: PokéPark Fishing Rally Unity (PPFRU). Project Description and Plot: It's a (non 1:1) remake of the lost DS Download Play game PokéPark Fishing Rally DS where you need to help Professor Grand Oak to study the Water fauna in the Brave River of the Antarsia Region. For those who don't know what the original game is, it's a mini-game you could download on your DS at the Pokémon Park in 2005. Once you turn off the game, it gets deleted. There's no public ROM and the game was lost forever. Features: Simple Gameplay: Just tap (yes, for everything). Cross-platform: The main target is mobile devices, but it's playable on Nintendo Switch, Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android. Variety of monsters to fish and catch: The current rooster is: Poliwag Krabby Kingler Goldeen Seaking Magikarp Gyarados Dratini Corphish Crawdaut Feebas Milotic Carvanha Sharpedo But I plan to add more mons in future betas. Total project time was about 12-16 hours. I know that these screenshots are barebones but there really is not a lot to see, it's a very simple game which was supposed to be a learning experience in a new engine. History as we know it faces a terrible threat... Hello everyone, this is our entry for the Relic Castle Game Jam #4! Pokémon Kronos was made by a team of four, OrreMIDI, Streetie, TheLightSword, and AlphaRemaster. Over the course of the month a LOT of time and effort was put into making this game as full as we could make it, and we hope you can see that from your play through. However, keep in mind that we were working to the very last second (and a bit over but Aki was so kind as to offer us an extension) and as of such there may be a few bugs in the game. We really hope none of them are game breaking, but just in case, save frequently! Now, without further ado, here is Pokémon Kronos! Team: OrreMIDI, Streetie, TheLightSword, and AlphaRemaster Plot: Welcome to the Olympa Region, a very diverse and pleasant region at the foot of Mount Olympa, a large volcano. Based off of Greece, this region is home to a very diverse selection of Pokémon! However, the region becomes barren and abandoned in the future, when people stopped taking care of its natural beauty and abandoned their entire culture. Thus, Team Zeta was formed, an organization created to save the future from this great calamity. You play as a lead scientist and third admin of Team Zeta who developed the Time Cuff, a device that allows Team Zeta to travel through time without the assistance of Celebi or Dialga. However, after discovering the true intentions of the organization, to eliminate any people and Pokémon they deem unworthy throughout history, you flee with your partner, Celebi, barely escaping with your life. Celebi takes you to the past, where you meet Alexander, a philosopher who studies mythology in Olympa. He informs you that Dialga slumbers deep in the heart of Mount Olympa, and that when awoken it can freely manipulate any moment in history. This is obviously what Team Zeta is after, and so Alexander further explains that to awaken Dialga one must capture the three Lake Guardians. You then set out on a quest to save the Lake Guardians and stop Team Zeta from altering history! Included Features: -Completely original soundtrack, with the exception of a few remixes and two official themes used! -Custom overworld sprites to match Magiscarf's tiles! -A complete set of custom characters designed specifically for this game! -The ability to travel through time (only in limited areas as we were crunched for time) -Beautiful maps that our team worked hard to perfect! -And most likely some bugs and glitches, hopefully none of which are game breaking! Known Bugs/Errors: -A variety of mapping and/or tileset configuration errors. -A few grammatical mistakes that we didn't have time to fix (but feel free to point out anyway so we can fix them on the next release) -The sailor in Troja Town just doesn't talk to you. (Fixed in version 1.1) -A trainer on Route 3 does not work. (Fixed in version 1.1) (THE FOLLOWING ARE POTENTIALLY GAME BREAKING ERRORS, SO PLEASE READ THESE FEW BUGS!!!!!) -Sideways stairs in Athenian City in the future do not work properly like the ones in the past, and so it is recommended that you save before going down any just in case you get into a place you cannot get out of. (Fixed in version 1.1) -If you lose in Troja Town, Route 2, or Ephescent Town and have not visited a local inn, you will be sent back to Athenian City and be unable to go back. (Fixed in version 1.1) -There may be some warp errors, namely with the doors and cave openings. (This does not include warps in the Tomb of Uxie or Crypt of Azelf that warp you to seemingly random places in the cave, those are intentional for the puzzles.) -Overall, just save frequently and you should be fine! Hey guys! I'm proud to present the finished copy of my game jam entry, Earthbound Capsule Quest. (I figured I'd post a thread in case anyone needs help or has questions. The game is short, 3 towns, 5 different areas to catch monsters. The final boss is a Lv. 50 pink Starman. You go around the island interacting with people and unlocking little challenges. Try catch the monsters and see if you can beat your rival and a strange scientists perfect battle simulation robot! There should be about 2 to 4 hours of gameplay. You could possibly beat it in one or two sittings. Download Link: Download Made Using RPG Maker XP, and the Pokemon Essentials engine. The resources in this game are free to use! Pokémon Police Force This is a game I worked on for Relic Castle's very first Game Jam but I missed the deadline due to being busy around the last few days. I then decided to continue the game into something bigger but that didn't last long. I hadn't uploaded this game to the new RC so I decided to enhance the game by fixing bugs and adding new features. I hope you enjoy! STORY Today is the day! You've completed the required training and are now a fully fledged Pokémon Police Officer. You are assigned to a position on Three Island where a young girl is missing and biker gangs terrorise the locals. It's time for YOU to figure out the mysterious disappearance and defeat the hooligans once and for all! SCREENSHOTS WHAT'S NEW? - Delta Pokémon! - There are eight delta species to catch on Three Island, a new one on every route. Basic info: This game was created for the Pokecommunity Game Jam of April 2019, The theme was "circular" but I didn't really follow the theme. This is a game about Pokémon. But, not in the Pokemon Universe. This takes place in a Alternate Universe to the one we live in. An alternate universe where Pokémon did not succeed at it's Red/Green release, and thus was forgotten through the sands of time. Story: There was once a game company with great potential. But, unfortunately, they did not use the potential well, and the universe forgot them. Many people had to leave the company, including one Iroh. Who left 10 years ago, and after a year of no contact from his ex work peers, recieves a letter asking for his help. Help, in testing a new game. But, what Iroh finds is more than just a game. This... is the story of Pokémon. Features: Collect 3 pieces of a circle key. Use the Holo-Circle to use the strange Pocket Monsters Witness many deformed Pokémon! Description: The game is using the regular Pokémon Essentials and is updated to version 18.1. I am currently not using Elite Battle System. I am using Flamguru's Pokemon Starter Kit, with Maruno's updates. I would like to see games with more Shadow Pokémon as XD and Colosseum were some of my favorites. I am creating the game with Essentials as my brother writes the story. I am not really looking for assistance on this project unless people really want to. I enjoy making games as a hobby, not really a lifestyle. I would like this to be public to receive feedback from others as they let me know what they think. There is no dates for updates, but I am continuously learning more about Essentials the more I use it. Plot: The title of this game is Pokémon Relic Slumber! It is Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness, but 25 years in the future! You are the son of Mike (who is the original protagonist) set on a journey to explore the Orre Region. The problem is, Shadow Pokémon are back. It is up to you to stop the new team Cipher from generating Shadow Pokémon. There will be new encounters as well as old ones as you make your way through Orre! Features: The Orre Region, but there are a few key differences. Instead of the scooter, routes are established between cities More buildings as well as demolished ones as the game takes place 25 years later Shadow Pokémon are obtainable (80+ Shadow Pokémon) Encounter old NPC's as well as new ones The Colosseum is back The game is complete and has been tested for bugs. Pokémon Rose Gold This game was made using Pokemon Essentials and RPG Maker XP Plot Playing from the perspective of Red, adventure around a new small area around Mt.Silver. Following the events of FireRed and LeafGreen several years later, Red stays up in the Tohjo region to train his beloved team. Use his long time companions to face tough foes and legendary creatures in this short journey through the Tohjo Region. Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours of gameplay. Screenshots Notes This game was made just over the span of a month for Relic Castles 2016 Game Jam. There are a few things I would have liked to improve, but alas, here we are, at the deadline. Other than the things I'd fix or add, I think it turned out to be a pretty solid project, and I hope you all enjoy it. -The game ends after you battle the last boss on the top of Mt.Silver. But, a few more events open up after that if you want to go find them (3 legendaries and 2 battles). -I'd suggest playing with battle animation off. I didn't make any for this game, so it's all mediocre stock animations, plus the battles are faster with them off. -I'd suggest playing with Shift style set to off for added challenge. -Most bugs have been fixed (other than graphic glitches in the battle system) but please report any you find! -Check your PC at the beginning of the game.
