Writing A Pokémon Game Together!​

This game is all about storytelling. We write the story of a Pokémon game together, sentence by sentence. You may only write one sentence at a time.
I will keep track of all the story details to check for continuity errors and inconsistencies, so make sure you read the story and the rules before you post. There are a few plot points I want the story to meet, and I'll cross off each of them as we go:

• Choosing Your Starter
• Introduce Rival
• Defeat 1st Gym
• Defeat 2nd Gym
• Defeat 3rd Gym
• Defeat 4th Gym
• Defeat 5th Gym
• Defeat 6th Gym
• Defeat 7th Gym
• Defeat 8th Gym
• Defeating the Elite 4
• Battling the Champion

Other than that, you're free to go wherever you'd like with the story.

Rules:​

• You may only write one sentence for each post (It can in some cases be split into two sentences, if they are short enough!)
• You can't post twice in a row
• Your sentence needs to make sense, and be a natural continuation from the previous sentence
• You are not allowed to change certain details that have already been decided (e.g. character names, town names). Once someone posts a sentence that includes the name of a character or a town, that name is set in stone.

I'll start:
The protagonist wakes up in their bedroom, and goes downstairs to talk to their parents.

Your mom asks you if you can't just stay at home instead of going on an adventure.

 

[ENLS]

You stay completely silent as usual while your dad tells you about an incident that happened in the Professor's lab.

 

[SwaggyHere]

He informs you that apparently someone broke into Professor Janet's lab during night and stole all her research on the history of the Mega Evolution War which happened at some point after the Great War in Kalos.

 

[King_Waluigi]

He recruits you to meet with Professor Janet in order to see what help you can be.

 

[Ekat]

While leaving your home, you bump into a cheerful man, who is muttering about how amazing technology is.

 

[King_Waluigi]

Upon entering the Professor's Lab, you overhear her talking to your father on the phone about the incident.

 

[SwaggyHere]

The Professor gets startled by your sudden entrance and drops her phone.

 

[Rua]

The lab is a mess, there are papers, books and glass scattered everywhere.. Janet apologizes, visibly stressed

 

[ENLS]

She explains that there are usually three Poké Balls on the table in the lab, but that whoever broke into the lab must've taken them aswell.

 

[King_Waluigi]

She explains how she used to be a trainer, an ex-gym leader, but doesn't battle anymore, so she lends you her Level 30 Shedinja to track down the crook.

 

[SwaggyHere]

You ask around the townfolks for any clues on the thief and you hear about some sketchy people in the nearby Forest.

 

[PokeHiro]

After traversing around the forest you found the sketchy people talking about Mew

 

[Hornet]

You approach the people, ready to take them on with your level 30 Shedinja.

 

[King_Waluigi]

While a couple of the sketchy people run off, the one holding the three stolen pokeballs and papers sends out a Level 32 Kadabra, knowing only Confusion.

But surprisingly the admin of these people came with a lv 40 Centiskorch which instantly wiped your Shedinja with a flame wheel and ran with the research

 

[SwaggyHere]

As strong as the thieves were, they forgot to take their bag with the three Pokéballs which you pick up and suddenly hear some growling nearby.

 

[ENLS]

You think it's better if you just run back to the lab, to tell Professor Janet about what happened.

As you are running to the lab you're jumped by a wild level 3 Snubbull.

But that snubbull was not an ordinary one it was a regional variant with a typing dark/fairy
