by that i mean, i took 3 days for the vacation. when i went by to the inn on the final day, the game teleported me back to my bed but i couldn't move or make any commands at all

If you pick cottonee then pettilil you can find cherrubi in new days plain. three free starters >:33

I think I tried Cherubi after a little bit and it didnt work either. I'll give Pettilil a try though.

So I tried Cotonee....no luck.

Tried Cherubi.....no luck.

Then I tried Pettilil and was able to get in. Seems the game only likes Pettilil lol Thanks again.

Update: I started with all three grass starters too.

I'm Gym Rank 4 with all lvl ~70 pokemon, but my story isn't progressing any. I've seemingly beat every trainer and all my building spots are filled, but nothing is happening story-wise. Any tips?

The game takes your total Culture score, multiplies it by your Industry score, and adds your Tourism.
If your Industry is higher than your Culture, it divides your score by your total Culture. If it is higher, it multiplies it by your Culture, instead.

Its useless to use the 3rd type . my suggestion is to use atleast 1 more cultural/plan1/plan4/museum plan than industrial/plan 2/plan4/factories.

eg: in the 2nd city other than the one with our gym there is 14 slots, so use 8 museum and 6 factories.

The income is 4k per sleep . Its not bad. IF you think you need to get 25k per day for investing 25k then you don't know anyting about economics.

The income didn't change because most likely when you build, the ration decreased and that affected the total amount.

eg: lets say your cuture score is 10 per number and factory score is 20, tourism is 30. if you have 10 cutural and 5 factory , your total income will be 100(10*10)*100(20*5)+0(30*0) = 200.
but if you have 5 cutural and 10 factory , your total income will be 200(20*10)/50(10*5)+0(30*0) = 4 .

Its a known bug in the latest verson 4.2.1 . If you have the old 4.2.0 then you can get out of this bug.

step 1: download and open v4.2.0 ( no need to worry the save file of 4.2.1 also work with 4.2.0 without replacing the new version.)
step 2 : go return from vaction and go out of the house and save( or some reason after you return from vacation ,you get stuck inside house)
step 3: go back to v4.2.1 (the bug is still there but) you would be able to move now .

nb: there is a catch. The new pokemon introduced in v4.2.1 (new form of gengar) might disappear

Did you check your inbox ? and some story line appear randomly for some reason. so do the gym work , the story will appear

I wonder would it be possible to make it so that you can enter the gym in the beginning of the game even when holding more than 3 pokemon, but it simply picks the first three slots for your team if you haven't unlocked using the rest of the team for gymfights yet?

Also, I would like to ask how the Mints work, they are seemingly intended to let you switch a pokemons nature freely but I can't seem getting them to work.

while the game is very interesting so far i've noticed something rather serious on my end, Fairy types are weak to Ice types as in a biker dude in the ice cave using ice moves being super effective to my Fairy pokemon and fairy type moves being not very effective to Ice pokemon, according to the official type chart they should be neutral in effectiveness.

First, hi and thanks for the explanation, @rominmusa. The absence of any kind of wiki or explanation of the calculation system makes it impossible to understand.

-> Next... No need to be so rude... Where did I suggest such stupid conclusion ? Don't you think basic economics tell you that investing more money should rise what you have to earn ? With no explanation in the game, it makes this just look like a failed system as investing so much just make you gain a lot less. I guess your logic is quite particular.

in the mall of Opulance City, two vendors sell exactly the same items : pokeballs.
there's an issue with the tileset in Opulence City that allows you to go "on top" of some buildings :

- still in Opulance City, there is no pokemons when you use your super rod. With that much water, that's too bad ^^

I'm very sorry to hear that, I would think that you could use the steam controller settings to make it work, but I'm not sure. I'll try it, and if it works I'll update this and try my best to tell you how to replicate it.

Edit: yes, though you have to go out of your way to set it up.

You can use this tutorial I found on youtube to set it up, if you have any trouble at all message me, I try to check this site every couple days so I should see any message to me.

Actually after you get to rank 8 you can go to the vacation spots again and battle the gym leaders and I noticed a nice Easter Egg sort of like when you go to Opulance City after Rank 8 the gym leader there normally has a dark type team but if you are a fighting gym leader he has a fighting team. Its the same for the other areas as well for Frijied its a fairy type if you are an Ice Gym Leader then he is an ice gym leader and for Breezee its normally Fire but if your an Electric Gym he's an electric gym leader.

Hey really enjoying the game started with a fighting type gym and was struggling to fill out team. got to the point i could go on vacation and went to opulent and caught a m ralts a tirogue and a machop. I spent a while to actually find the m ralts so i saved. But when i went to bed in the inn and spawned in my house no command would work except for f1 to pull up the base menu, it was like my character was frozen. Is there a fix for this?

Yup. Download version 4.2.0 of the game and play with that. It will recognize your save data so no worries. Someone a page or two back in this thread described the process. It's also outlined here:
