Its a known bug in the latest verson 4.2.1 . If you have the old 4.2.0 then you can get out of this bug.

step 1: download and open v4.2.0 ( no need to worry the save file of 4.2.1 also work with 4.2.0 without replacing the new version.)
step 2 : go return from vaction and go out of the house and save( or some reason after you return from vacation ,you get stuck inside house)
step 3: go back to v4.2.1 (the bug is still there but) you would be able to move now .

nb: there is a catch. The new pokemon introduced in v4.2.1 (new form of gengar) might disappear

When I try to go into the gym, I get a message that the mayor wants to talk to me. The mayor just says hello to me. He did tell me to check my mail, but my mailbox is empty. Do I need to start the game over?

Found a bit of an annoyance... I managed to reach rank 2 gym leader not while in my gym but while out training. When I then returned to town, I had the mayor broadcast out to the world about my rankup and had the biker gang hijack his megaphone powers (to which I turned away from the town before starting a battle while surrounded by empty space). Given that I was training and was returning to town to heal before continuing my training, my mon all started the fight basically already done for. This event really should not happen with the trigger space being the entire town, while only expected to happen on one specific tile.

On a separate note, wild battles with Druddigon will auto-end the moment your first pokemon faints, with no prompts to send out another.

I also experience a bit of lag whenever I walk between areas. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing you're reapplying all the encounter rates for the entire game whenever changing areas?

Edit: sorry, I see you have a newer version that what I'm using (v4.2.0 vs v4.2.1). I'll check if the new version still has these problems...

Oh. and SwapPapyrus_OG, you get to the badlands by heading to the west of town then through the northern of the two caves.

So, Im really excited to try this out but is the Gym Leader Registration supposed to take upwards of half an hour?
ive been sitting here for a while now

- can confirm, at least half an hour, will continue being patient(5:05Pm)

- almost an hour later, has anyone had this issue prior?(5:58Pm)

- Resolved. took less than a second after hitting what I think was Enter, kinda spammed my KB (6:28PM)

Absolutely love this game but Im stuck on rank 4. I have 40,000+ reputation and its day 61. Id appreciate any response. Thank you!

(I've tried advancing the day, as well as just doing normal gym leader battles.)
(Also, the modest nature candy doesn't give me the "use" option). The adamant candy does work; not sure about the others though.

I was using joiplay and when I used the add item cheat it kept crashing, does anyone knows what this mean

My guess is you can't cheat items into it using Joi

Bruh, I was hoping I can because it is so frustrating to capture pokemon early level, what Gym type is the easiest because right know I am thinking of punching a wall in frustration

If you can't catch then you aren't playing well. Use 5 sleep trick- get money- buy pokeballs

In my opinion, ghost. Get driftblim, aegislash, and mimikyu and you can set up stockpile and minimize with driftblim, and baton pass it to one of the other two who can swordsdance and sweep. There's also a guy who sells adamant candies so you just win

Is it intended for these to be infinite? I've been doing this and the Lum Berries for the past 10-15 minutes just because. There seems to be no end to it.

Is there a point where wild pokemon stop leveling with you? Or is it based on the level of your party pokemon? It is very challenging making it through caves when the wild pokemon are the same level as yours or a couple higher.
For context, I just opened the gym, I think I've only gone there twice to battle challengers so my rank still isn't high, but my pokemon and all the wild ones I find are level 22 to 25. I have 2 gym assistants (can't remember the actual word) if that matters.

you don't have to catch only pokemon of your type, nor only ones you can use in your gym... I went dragon, so I caught a couple mon just to make my initial game easier (fomantis & tympole, before catching ones I can actually use). Ended up using the regional aron (dragon&steel) and salandit (dragon claw tm) from the same sub-room in the west's north cave (rather than the harder to catch regular dragons like goomy and co to the east) after having strengthened my starter up a bit and bought pokeballs.
