You play as a teen who separated from their sibling when arriving on an island, waiting for the ferry to travel to an unknown region. Due to hardships in your home region, you've never had a Pokémon of your own, and your eagerness for one gets you into trouble. After being saved by a powerful stranger, you must travel the island to begrudgingly return the favor. This was made using RPG Maker XP via Pokémon Essentials v.19.1. I am currently working on getting my scripts figured out in v20.1, but I've been itching to get this project out to the public to get feedback. This is meant to be a Demo for the full game and story, so it is admittedly short. The full game is planned to be a very different take on the progression normal Pokémon games take you on, more on that as we approach a proper release! The level cap for this demo is 25. As a lifelong Pokemon fan, I've always been frustrated that some Pokemon were completely unusable despite the effort and creativity of their designs. For example, has anyone ever even thought about using Ledian in any serious capacity? The goal of this ROM is to rebalance the game up to Gen 5 to make many lackluster Pokemon more viable. Along with base stat changes, I've also updated abilities, types, learn sets of many Pokemon, power/effects of many moves, and TM/HM compatibility. All these changes can be found in the folder for the ROM. These changes will serve to make many Pokemon significantly more viable. I have also updated wild encounters so that every Pokemon/family of Pokemon is available, including legendaries. Legendaries are extremely rare random encounters in places of thematic relevancy, however, in the future, and with help from the community, I intend to make events for specific legendaries. In addition, the difficulty is significantly increased compared to the base game, so all trainers have been changed as well. Documentation for major battles is also in the ROM folder. These changes were not solely based on the intent of someone nuzlocking this ROM, however, I did keep that possibility in mind and have included features to minimize grinding and monotony for those players such as early access to Lucky Eggs, purchasable Rare Candies, and EV training items as the game progresses. If you choose to attempt a nuzlocke, I very much would like to hear your feedback. Note: This is the first version so it should've assumed that the balance of the game needs fixing. Im looking for any and all types of feedback to make this ROM as good as it can be continually. I eventually plan to change NPC dialog, item locations, further QoL changes to EV/level grinding, rebalancing the type chart, Mega Evolutions/forms for those who never got them (Flygon and Regigias are the first to come to mind), etc. This ROM Hack has been made with just the base game and community tools using the editing of NARCs. Pokemon Graphite Grey Graphite Grey is my latest project which I wanted to put together to get me back into my Game Developer mode. This is set to be a small project for me to just practice using RPG maker and Pokemon Essentials. It's not set to be the best game in the world but I wanted to make it playable because why not? My main aim for this game was to focus on Pokemon who are generally not seen as very good and see if a world of these Pokemon could give a nice balanced game or not. I've also decided to remove the standard marts in each town and make items like Potions and regular Pokeballs a little rarer so the player can utilize specialized Pokeballs like the Apricorn Balls. Most of the tiles and characters are either Essentials defaults or from my other games. Story Travel the Sire Region and collect the 8 Gym badges to earn entry into the Pokemon League competition. Those who are successful will be known as the Pokemon League Champion and gain access to face off against the Elite Four. On your journey meet Team Snare who will be set on their own money making schemes. Stop them if you can but their greed maybe too much! Hello, I'm releasing my first Hack Rom. *You're free to share the patch in other medias. About the hack: Pokémon Exceeded is a emerald decomp with new features. One main feature is called Innate (a rather unique feature among Hack Roms), which acts as an ability of Pokémon, but the Pokémon can have up to three Innates. Some effects interacts with Innates like Mold Breaker like abilities, Gastro Acid, but other have no effects on them like Neutralizing Gas. And some Pokémon unlocks new Innates either by level, friendship, evolution or even quests! Plot: The story begins an alternate timeline where you and your rival, Red or Leaf, move to Hoenn before starting their journey in Kanto. In this timeline, as no brats got in the way of Team Rocket's plans, they dominated the Kanto region. Giovanni is teaming up with other villain teams to expand his hold over the Hoenn region. Features: There are new Pokémon and strategies in Pokémon Battle Frontier as post-game. Up to Gen VIII Pokémon species. New side quests. New maps. New items. Custom Starter Pokémon trio (you can also choose specific region starters, including from Pokémon Unbound). Over 150 new Abilities/Innates. Over 50 new moves, including terrains and Pokémon Unite's ultimate! Over 150 moves were changed (base power, accuracy, PP, effect, etc). Hi! My name is Figgity, and this is my pokemon fan game, OpenPokemon! OpenPokemon is my very first fangame. Made in godot, it's a fully open world pokemon game. I wanted to make something akin to Legends Arceus meets ARK: Survival Evolved meets my weird mind. In the future it will focus on pokemon as animals in the wild, with more in depth training. Like real animals! DOWNLOAD HERE (MEGA) To play, unzip and leave everything in the folder. Launch the OpenPokemon4.exe to play! The (Open) World The world of OpenPokemon is set on a vast, randomly generated archapeligo, with diverse biomes and pokemon, dungeons and challenges to face, and ruins of a past world, with secrets interspersed. As developement continues, more variation will be added to the islands. The world is heavily inspired to almost ripped from gen 5, as you can see from the trees! Battling (I know you love my programmer art <3) The battling in OpenPokemon is going to be cartridge accurate- with some tweaks for balance in a sandbox setting. Some pokemon getting new abilities or different movesets, or moves being altered or even brought back. I don't want to touch the type chart or pokemon stats at all, with the exception of mega evolutions, which will be included but rebalanced to work in a way that doesn't discourage team variety. Battling Sidenote- Difficulty Battling is at the heart of pokemon, and many fangames and romhacks aspire to fix the problems with the battle system. While I like this approach, I think in many ways this can also be achieved by changing the difficulty of the core game, making things that are normal in pokemon harder, like restoring health and PP, without them feeling unfair. Of course, some moves and abilities will be changed just for the sake of balance as the entire format of the game is different. Wilder Wild Pokemon Wild pokemon are the heart and soul of OpenPokemon. The wild pokemon will wander about, and have different temperements and behaviors per species. Pokemon will have a lot of variety in what you need to do to catch them, some as simple as taming them, while stronger pokemon require you to raise them from an egg (Don't worry, leveling will be easier for these due to the presence of mini-quests to accelerate their growth). Something I wanted to recreate was how the pokedex talks about some pokemon eat things or go to places to evolve, so many pokemon will have mini-quests to get their evolution, needing to eat a food or use an item. Whats Next? The roadmap for OpenPokemon is a long one, but a hopeful one. I've been working on it for a few years, but the past few months have really picked up steam as my skills develop. Pokémon IIII (It's Pokemon 4 in roman numerals. Yes, I am aware that that would technically be Pokemon IV. Yes, I did not call it that on purpose. I'm trying to not send the wrong message. We both know the one.) What would you do if you woke up one morning and everyone was gone? Your mom? Not there. The neighbor? Not at home. The store? Completely deserted. Would you just go back to bed? Let everything be, this'll fix itself eventually, and the like? Or would you go out and look for clues to figure out what happened? Well, hopefully, the latter, because otherwise, this will be a very short gaming experience. Play as Clyde and his friends in a race against the clock, as they try to figure out what happened to the people of Kamelia Town, while there are signs of a storm brewing in the distance... About If the title's not unneccesarily cryptic enough for you, I'm sure that summary did it. I should preface this game by saying: This is a puzzle game first and a Pokémon game second. What does that mean? Lots of keys, numeral locks and things to read. There's no wild encounters, no training, and very few battles. And even those battles are actually just puzzles. ...I am not doing a good job selling this thing to you, am I? I wanted to do something a little different for this jam, and this was the thing that came out; It's a relatively short game and I dare say that the puzzles are not that difficult (if push comes to shove you can pretty much brute force your way through most of them), so if you're into that kinda stuff, give it a try. Pokemon Bonfire Stories is about a group of friends having a night out and trying to spook each other with some creepy storytelling. It doesn't matter much what order you play the stories in, as nothing carries over between them except TMs. If you're going for completion based on collecting all the TMs, there is a text file included to tell you which ones are in each story; it doesn't tell you where to find them though! One last note: you can only play each story once. You'll have to start a new game if you want to go back or play in a different order. Here is the latest version of Bonfire Stories! Not sure if you're up to date? The newest version says 4 STORIES on the titlescreen. Features: Four original stories to play though! Play the stories in any order you choose! Multiple protagonists to play with! TMs to collect in use in other stories! No need to choose starters or grind through any early game annoyances. Jump into the lives of established trainers! Dev feature: The files are open for you to look at and mess around with, and I encourage you to create your own stories if you're interested Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Why won't my emulator run this game? What emulator do I need? A: This isn't a hacked game. It's made with RMXP, so no emulator needed! Q: Can I play this on mobile? Can I play on a Mac? A: For mobile you can try JoiPlay, but I haven't tested it myself. For Mac, I believe there's something called Wine? Sorry, the game really works best on PC. Q: You allways add special cheat code names so what are they? A: I didn't really add any this time! Since each story is completely separate, any special gifts would quickly be lost before you could use them. There might be some special greetings, but the only special names really are the storyteller character's names being banned as player names. Q: Can I rip or take stuff from this game? A: No. The game isn't compressed because I'd like to let others add their own stories if they want. It is not an invitation to rip any resources from the files, as they're not all mine. This game was made for a game jam though, and one of the rules of the jam was that any resources I made for the game became public, so here's some free stuff you can use in your own projects. You don't have to credit me for any of these. Q: So I can edit this game to add my own stories? A: Yes! If you took the time to develop a whole new story for the game, I would be glad to release an official update including it. Please don't re-release it yourself! If everyone did that there'd be several incomplete versions floating around instead of 1 game with all the content!
 
A monster collecting/raising/battling game About Project Galaxmon Project Galaxmon is a monster collecting/raising/battling game in the concept stages of creation. With this demo I intended to showcase some systems I would like for a full game as well as to showcase the philosophy of creature designs for the project and a bit of worldbuilding. Story Today is the final match of the Glaxi Battle World Cup and the protagonist(s) are lucky enough to be able to attend the final match which is being hosted in their nation. Before reaching the train station which will take them to the venue, they will encounter along the way a curious creatures known as Glaxi (for now) which tend to unexpectedly challenge anyone that gets near them and also strong Glaxi tamers wishing to demonstrate their skills and bond with their Glaxis. ***Notice: Originally this demo was supposed to be composed of 3 parts, with each part occurring at different locations; the setting of the last part being at the stadium where the final match is being held. Screenshots ----- Features Glaxis never forget moves. Swap out moves from their movepool at any time. Every six hours (in-game time), you are able to draw a luck ticket which will either boost or decrease the rate of the following categories: capture rate, variant rate, random stat acquire, and wild Glaxi drop rate. Plot: After defeating Red in Pokémon HeartGold / SoulSilver, Eusine asks for you to come with him to the Sevii Islands, since the remaining Legendary Beasts (Raikou and Entei) were spotted there, and there have been sightings of Team Rocket in the Sevii Islands, as well as rumors about Giovanni being back... Why is Team Rocket back again, and what could possibly be their business in the Sevii Islands? Features: -Mega Pokémon, including Gigantamax Megas and Custom Megas (coming in the final version); -Following Pokémon; -Randomizer Mode; -Pokégear with new features (storage, money bank, quest log, etc); -To stay faithful to HGSS, only Gen 1-4 Pokémon are in the game, with no Fairy Type. TMs are now infinite use, however; -Chapters instead of Gyms (since there are no gyms in the Sevii Islands). Currently there are 6 chapters playable, out of 8 planned, which consist of One to Five Island and a bit more. The gameplay was the most important thing for me while making Hito and I wanted to have an interesting spin on the normal Pokémon formula. In this case, the battle system is akin to a roguelike of sorts, though still a linear storyline where you don't completely reset your progress if you die, just in how the battles themselves operate. Plot: Team Pylon is an evil organization that strives for world domination whom, after finding old inscriptions about the Regis and translating them, realized that the ancient titan Regigigas was stronger than many thought, so, they divided their team into 5 divisions: Rock, Steel, Ice, Dragon, and Electric, they are on places all around the Mathos region searching for precise locations in an attempt to awaken the titan and bring to light Regigigas' true power.
