Pokémon Apathy August 2023 - Update Notes To give myself a mental break from my main projects, I decided to update Apathy to Version 20 of Essentials. I also touched up the graphics and poured in some more quality of life additions. Everything is still public to use. However, I will keep up the resource pack from the original jam version. February 2020 - Original Notes Here’s my entry for RC’s Winter Jam! It was a fun run to make, although I pulled some pretty late nights to have it finished on time for playtesting to be done. Pokémon Apathy is far from a traditional Pokémon game. But because this is just a Jam project, and not something longer, I don’t have to worry as much. It’s short, it’s experimental, and hopefully you enjoy playing it as much as I did making it. Plot In the idyllic beach town of Serendipity Bay, you play as Nadia. Her main goals include staying indoors and avoiding other people. Unfortunately for Nadia, there always seems to be some problem or another that only she can resolve. Features Questing System: A fast and easy way to keep track of what you should be doing. Crafting System: Craft to make money and items related to sidequests. Trainer Grinding System: A quick way to boost your levels. Caring System: The colours of the world change the more involved in it you are. Anti-Friendship System: You cannot make your relationships with certain characters better, only slightly less worse. Welcome to Pokemon Family Restaurant! ...it's not going super well. Your mother is a decent cook, but somehow you're running low on guests. What a stroke of luck that you happened to find your Grandmas old cookbook in the cellar. With those recipes, customers are guaranteed to flock back to Ol' Grannys Diner! Unfortunately she was very peculiar about her ingredients, so you'll have to make your way across the island to collect the special seasonings that make her food so irresistable. About This is the game that I made for last years Insert Name Jam, that for some reason I never bothered to post on here. But here it is now! This one is a lot more light hearted than my usual jam games, a bit of a short and sweet slice-of-lifey island adventure. It's got food, friendship, terastallization and three different endings depending on your actions during the game. Download Link Screenshots Credits

Hello everybody, I'm the developer of Super Pokemon Eevee Edition. I don't only make pokemon fangames, I've also been working on my side project DOT Debug. It's a free stealth-action game, available for Windows and Android. The game is centered around a black square named DOT, who can blend into walls by standing next to them. Website Itch.io Android

About Pokémon Nightshade is made for Relic Castle's Second Winter Jam! This entry is a bit of a departure from my usual work. It's finished, it's as polished as it can be given the deadline, but I have mixed feelings on it. If any positive has come from Nightshade, it's helped me view my main projects in a different light. I have to give much thanks to my wonderful testers @Foxowl and @PurpleZaffre for all their hard work! @Michael also did testing, but it was his assistance with coding that really helped get the core mechanics of this game off the ground. Nightshade has around 4-5 hours of gameplay. Summary In this game you play as Giselle, a Ranger for Cypress Park. There is no shortage of work to be done, but Giselle has grown somewhat bored of these tasks. So, her boss gives her a challenge. By dealing with various shenanigans related to her job, Giselle can earn Park Points. These, in turn, can be used to buy Ranger Badges. Unlike mainline gym badges, the Ranger Badges have more noticeable effects. They can lower encounter rates, make eggs hatch faster, increase experience gain, and so on. Gather all 10 to become the Ultimate Park Ranger of the Universe! Or... something. Giselle's boss wasn't exactly clear on what collecting them all would accomplish... Screenshots Warning This game does contain the occasional attempt at using spooky imagery. It's just with some of the trainer sprites and overworlds. No need to fear jumpscares, or anything like that. Features Current Version - v2.0 Download Discord If you're interested in discussing your playthrough, lost, or just want to bring bugs to my attention, consider joining the Pokémon Ashen Frost server! We're a pretty chill bunch, pun fully intended. I've made a separate channel there for Nightshade. Hey folks, last two weeks I've been playing around with another Nintendo 3DS project on Unity 5.6.6f2: Pokémon Escape from Gengar Mansion 3DS (PEMG3DS). This game is a recreation of a semi-lost arcade game with the same name that was developed and published by pokemon.com as an online mini-game in 2015; and became unavailable in 2017. Luckily, websites like numuki.com made a backup of the original game and you can still try it unofficially. Gameplay: In PEMG3DS we must escape from Gengar's mansion by pressing on the D-PAD or secondary screen of the New Nintendo 3DS the OPPOSITE direction to the one shown by the ghost Pokémon. This of course only if Pumpkaboo does not appear, which will indicate that we must press the SAME direction. PEMG3DS Features: PEMG3DS has been recreated from scratch for the New Nintendo 3DS due to huge technical limitations with the hardware of the system. However, it brings back all the original features adapted to the console and its dual screen. Simple gameplay: Everything is done with just TAP on the bottom screen or by pressing the (A) or (B) button. Multi-language: PFGM3DS comes fully localized to English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Portuguese and Japanese. The language can be selected from Others > Settings > Language at any time. Compatible with stereoscopic 3D effect of the Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS. Gameplay with easy (Gastly), medium (Haunter), hard (Gengar) and challenge (Challenge) modes. Screenshots: Note that even if the screenshots are in Spanish, the game is in English by default! Troubleshooting: Unity has many issues with old3DS when more than 100 scripts are in the project even if they are not used or referenced at all. That's why this game won't work on Old3DS. If you plan to run it on Citra, Azahar, Lime3DS, Folium, Provenance or similar emulators, please enable new 3ds mode. If you experience any bug on retail hardware, please let me know with firmware version and model. Video: Download: Zelda Credits: Pokémon.com for the original game numuki.com for hosting the backup of the game so I could geti inspired by it.

Welcome to Pokémon: Giovanni Origins In this story, set roughly 20 years before the events of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, you play as the childhood friend of Team Rocket Boss Giovanni. Growing up in Saffron City, you and Giovanni will traverse Kanto and Johto together, challenging for gym badges and championships along the way. You will witness first hand the backstory of Giovanni, watching from the sidelines as your friend ventures down a dark path, turning to a life of crime. As you explore Kanto and Johto, you will see the vast difference 20 years can make to a region. You will find characters and references to the future games hidden everywhere you look. Game Title: Pokémon D.W. (Stands for Deserted Wasteland) Game Screenshots: Game Download: Mediafire (1.1) Mega (1.1) Made Using: Pokémon Essentials & Paint.NET Team: Voltseon (Me) Notes: This game is just about 100% open world, you can do whatever you like, but the ultimate goal is to escape the town, you can do so by beating the main guard in a Pokébattle. Trade evolutions like seadra into kingdra are handled by using the trade item on them. Levelscaling is enabled for this game, that way you can keep exploring the same maps without overlevelling. The game is a bit dark (not super edgy or anything) so if you don't handle stuff like that very well then I don't recommend you play this game. Resource Pack: Linked here Credits: Non jam eligible version / update From version 1.2 and onward there have been a few new additions like new scientists in the D.W. Underground, a new NPC in the Waste Forest, decreased the difficulty curve, graphical updates and more. The updates on this version are not eligible for the game jam, but feel free to play it since it's all for fun anyways! Because of this I've included a debug bat file with which you can run the game in debug mode + I've included the Data and PBS files opposed to how the older versions are encrypted. Download v1.2

About the Game Pokemon Pantheon is about a grand tournament being funded by the Crotek Company, called the Crotek Grand Championship! This tournament is designed to bring the best trainers from all over the world to a special island called Sealand, where they will battle it out for the chance to be crowned as the best trainer in the world! The tournament has 5 rounds, with two battles per round for the first 3 rounds, and only one battle for each of the last two rounds, bringing a total of 8 grueling matches for the player! Characters There are three major characters that you will get to know during the Crotek Grand Championship: The Protagonists: Spencer and Lily act as your protagonists for Pokemon Pantheon. Both come from Kingdom City, in the Aroma region! They have proven themselves skillful in battle, even defeating the elite four in their region, and have become the champions of their home! The Rival: Logan has been your lifelong rival, ever since you started your journey through Aroma. He nearly beat you in becoming champion, but failed to defeat the original champion before you could. Still, Logan is a kind and caring friend, and is the reason you were both able to come to the tournament! The Owner: Mr. Dolos is the current owner of the Crotek Company, and is the sponsor for the Crotek Grand Championship! No one is quite sure where his company started from, but they have made sure to make a name for themselves by gathering any and all trainers who have proven to be the most skilled in their regions. Game Features Pokemon Pantheon boasts many new features throughout the game. For basic features, this game has: All pokemon up to gen 5 in the game, with gen 5 mechanics Custom characters and story Randomized Tournament features (See "Tournament" for more info below) Randomized Items Randomized Dialogue for NPCS Randomized Shop items that refresh every round! Draft system style of selecting pokemon! (See "Draft" below for more info) Up to 4 endings to discover and play! Sharable seeds, allowing players to give their friends the seed they have, and have the same randomized features for both players! Easy, Normal, and Hard Difficulties Permadeath. If you lose during the tournament, your game is over with. Play smart. To help point out some of the bigger ones, I am going to create subsections in this catagory for them. Tournament Features Baaabuuu has worked on some special features in order to make this game jam different. We wanted to a create a dynamic and fun environment, especially for a tournament. We didn't think that a tournament in which the same trainers are always there, with the same names and teams. It's boring. So Baaabuuu locked himself into his room and started working. Once he came back to us, he came bearing gifts. He created a system, in which 255 trainers would be generated, where they would draft Pokémon, just like the player, creating a rich environment with different trainers to go up against for every single game, with no two games alike (unless you share a seed file!). He then went on to work on a tournament system, which This system would take the trainers and have them battle each other, ensuring that the trainers advancing wasn't decided on by a coin flip. Did You say Randomized? When we say the game is randomized, we completely mean it. The game automatically creates a random key, called a seed, which will create a world custom made for your playthrough! Almost everything is randomized in the game: every trainer you fight will be different, every pokeball you see will contain a different item, every shop will restock with different items each round, and every npc will not only look different, but say something different too! No two playthroughs should look alike, unless... (See "Seed Feature" below) Draft Features The draft system in Pokemon Pantheon is by far one of our biggest features in the game. Since your protagonist is already a seasoned trainer, they have tons of pokemon at their disposal already, but unfortunately the tournament only allows trainers to take 10 pokemon with them. "But Lunar," you might ask, "How does this affect me?" Simple, the player is allowed to pick 10 pokemon from a selection of 50, by picking one pokemon out of 5 for ten draft rounds. Each pokemon will have random stats, moves, abilities, natures, and even nicknames, and have a 1/50 chance to be shiny! Your pokemon selections will come from five different categories which were made based on the various aspects of the pokemon, just like any other tier system. You have a pick between Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Once you have selected 10 pokemon, those are your only ten pokemon for the entire tournament, so make sure you choose your partners right! Seed Feature (How to share your adventure?) But what's the fun of having custom tournaments and completely randomized stuff if you can't share the awesome save you have? Baaabuuu went even harder into his work to create the ability to transfer seed files to your friends to use! This file is located in the game folder. Now what you do next is go to a website like mediafire, mega.co.nz or others and upload the file. Then you have friends download that file, and insert it. Then they go there, before starting their game. Then once in-game they click "use same seed" and voila - you are now playing the same game. Try and compete to see who can get the furthest in the tournament the fastest! As an added bonus, you can try out the seed we used to test and create the game or you can create a new adventure to share to anyone. Screenshots: Download [MEGA] Download Link! Arisen from the ashes of Relic Castle A medium rare experience. Now with Eevee Island DLC! You play as Creil, an explorer hoping to better understand the Semag Ruins. But as you go deeper and deeper into the cave, you can’t help but feel that what you’re about to stumble upon is… beefier than you expected. Like there’s a lot of meaty goodness in it. Medium rare if you will. Anyways the features are: -A semi-open world with multiple locations. -Cameos of folks across the English speaking fangame community. -Silly dialogue. -Peak music. -Tributes to relic castle. -Gimmighoul for some reason. -A post game only DLC that allows you to experience a new adventure. -And probably not much more! Author's Note: This game was made for a GAME JAM at PokéCommunity. It won the Game Jam, though there were only four entrants. Here's my award to prove it. It's very pretty. The basis of the challenge was that you were given a random legendary (and one week!) to build a very short "dungeon" and "story" for, and that was the extent of the requirements. I was very excited--it would be cool to make a lava dungeon for Entei, or a Steel mine for Registeel, or even a Sky tower for Thundurus. No. I got Keldeo. Keldeo. Ugh. But I made it work, and I dug it up so I could share it with all of you! It's about a 30 minute long game, though I added a little bit of fun stuff at the end, so who knows. Pokémon Chronicles: Keldeo Overview You've been traveling with Eusine, an eclectic collector, for a very long time! Project Revival Project Revival is my latest game, and it aims to fix old mechanics that I've had in my previous games that were outdated or broken, and to increase the general difficulty of my games. Of course, the story is still super-important, but now, the game starts much more quickly, so you can get to the action more. This game uses Essentials 18.1, since I started on this game just before v19 was released. New or Updated Features More of the Caracara Region - Technically this is the second time players visit Caracara, but this game is actually a prequel, so this means it's everyone's first time! Single Pokémon Run Mode - This mode returns with the same features as last time. Choose this mode in the beginning of the game, and you'll only be able to choose one Pokémon, without being able to capture more, or evolve your chosen Pokémon. Xpertlocke Mode - A new game mode that is similar to a Nuzlocke, but with some added difficulty. Fainted Pokémon cannot be revived as usual, however, Pokémon cannot be caught, and must only be obtained by gift or in-game trade. Hatching Eggs is not allowed, either. Once all your Pokémon have fainted, the run is dead. Radical Mode - Another new game mode that restricts the player from using held items or items from their Bag in Gyms or the Pokémon League. The battle style is always put on "Set", even if the option is set to "Switch". Newest Mechanics - Gen. 8 mechanics return. This includes Pokémon, move sets, updated stats, and items. Mega Evolution is also included. Multiple Save Files - Multiple save files allow for more playthroughs without having to move your save file or delete your old game. The max amount of saves is 10. The Move Master - The Move Master, in every Pokémon Center, can relearn moves, check Hidden Power types, change the game mode, and check friendship levels. Also, he runs the new Pokémon Nursery, which is an improved Day Care, with much quicker ways of getting Eggs. Chapters and Sidequests - Project Revival has a combined total of 50 Chapters and Sidequests. Completing at least 49 of them unlocks a special final sidequest. SOS Battles - SOS Battles from Generation 7 have returned. They may occur during most wild battles after getting one Gym Badge. The SOS Machine can enable or disable them once the player gets the item. Poké Radar - The Poké Radar, using its Pokémon X and Y features, returns. The player can obtain it by completing a sidequest. All Starters Can Be Chosen - All starters from Kanto to Galar can be chosen in the beginning of the game. However, you can only choose one! In the final game, you'll be able to grab the rest later in the game. Exp. Share - It returns still the same as in Gen. 6 and Gen. 7. It can still be turned on or off. Level Cap - A brand-new hard level cap which restricts the player's Pokémon from over leveling by limiting the Exp. gained past the current cap. The Level Cap begins at Lv. 15, and it can be raised by getting more Gym Badges. Birthsigns System - This system has been completely removed. Egg Tickets and Odd Eggs - Exchange these Egg Tickets and get an Odd Egg, which has a 50% chance of hatching a Shiny Pokémon every time. HM Items- Of course, HMs are not in the game, as they've been replaced with items like the Pickaxe and Hedge Clippers. EV Resetter - There's an NPC that can reset the EVs of any Pokémon back to zero for 5 Armorite Ore pieces. Overworld Pokémon Encounters - Overworld encounters been removed, and replaced with the random grass encounters from earlier generations. Markings - Markings from Gen. 8 have been added. All Pokémon have a small chance of having a marking. They don't change stats, but can be interacted with in the "Ribbons" page of the Pokemon's summary screen. Egg Incubators - Egg Incubators have been added. Now, the player has the choice to put Eggs in the Incubator item. They'll hatch as if they were in your party. Flame Body, Magma Armor, Steam Engine still affect the Egg’s hatch speed. Trade Evolutions - Trade Evolutions have been changed again. Now, instead of simply using the trade item, you'll have to make the Pokémon hold the trade item, then use a Link Stone on it. For example, if you want Onix to evolve into Steelix, make it hold a Metal Coat, then use a Link Stone to evolve it. For Pokémon who simply evolve by trade, make it hold a Link Stone, then use another Link Stone on it. Dropped Items - Wild Pokémon automatically drop their held item if they are defeated (rather than catching it or using Thief/Covet) The Battle Beach - A much-requested feature, the Battle Beach is similar to the Battle Towers of the main series. Win RP (Rad Points), and exchange them for rad prizes! Charms - The Mark Charm, Exp. Charm, Shiny Charm, and Oval Charms are all available Rotom Catalog - The Rotom Catalog can be used to change Rotom's form at any time, just like in Sword and Shield. Cosplay Pikachu & Other Forms - Cosplay Pikachu, a forgotten feature in ORAS, is back in Project Revival, along with the base flavors of Alcremie. Hidden Abilities - Wild Pokémon with Hidden Abilities no longer appear randomly in the wild, now Ability Patches must to be used (Gen. 8 item), available for purchase at the Battle Beach. Phenomenon - The rustling grass, rippling water, dust clouds, and bird shadows from Gen. 5 are added. After the player defeats the Nova Gym and gets a Bedrock Badge, they'll randomly appear. Pokémon have a higher chance to be shiny in rustling grass, and are commonly found with an Egg move. They have a small chance of having two perfect IVs as well. Quicksaving - Press "Q" or "A" to quick save to the current slot you're currently playing. Turbo Mode - Press "ALT" to speed up the game. There's three different speeds that you can use. Keep pressing Alt to return to the normal game speed. The Caracara Region! Project Revival's Caracara region is much, much larger, and includes much more content and more Pokémon to catch! It is based on the Florida Keys, with influence from other media's depictions of Florida itself. The Story Project Revival is the prequel to my previous game, Blossom of the Soul, and also every other game of mine. However, it's highly recommended you play Blossom of the Soul before this game, even if it is a demo! Project Revival's story has strong ties to an even older game of mine, Tentin Redux. Twenty years before the events of Blossom of the Soul, which shook the entire Caracara region, a mysterious Pokémon has foreseen a dark future. To prevent this, it sends a person to try to correct the future. Nature is dying, and its effects will have disastrous, long-lasting effects on Caracara. In this story, you will see a clash of modern ideals entwined with the old ideas of the past. Will people have the heart to change the course of history for good? Or are they just so focused on development and their selfish desires? Screenshots Bugfixes Older Bugfixes Known Bugs & Oversights Download Version 1.1.7, January 10th, 2022 After this update, I don't plan on any more big updates. Only bugfixes that players tell me about that are game-breaking or unavoidable. Download HERE Discord I made a new Discord server for Project Revival, as it gets a bit confusing when people ask about Blossom of the Soul when I'm expecting Project Revival information. Join here! Official Guide and Assistance Upon getting many requests, I've finally made a long guide that details the entirety of Project Revival. This is where you can find all item locations, Pokémon encounters, Quests, mechanics, Trainers, and Gym information. If I'm missing anything in the guide, leave a comment on the doc. See the guide here! For a full list of in-game Quests and Chapters, take a look here! Credits This is a long list, but knowing me, I probably missed one. If I did, please tell me. I still have credits here for scripts/graphics that aren't used in my game yet, but will likely be used by its full release. Hope you all enjoy your time in the Caracara region! I will try to respond to every question, so feel free to ask anytime!

Hi everyone! Here is a project I've been working on every now and then in the past years. It's my first experiment and it's still growing. It's a customizable monster catching&training game based on GPS for Android, a free app you can find on Google Play. It works with any fanmade data pack containing all the data for a set group of monster, and the main one fans have spent time on is the Pokémon data pack, which is why I'm here. It's very light and doesn't use internet connection at all (after you've downloaded a data pack), which is good news for the battery since gps alone already drains a lot. You can find communities of players for the game on Reddit and Discord, more than 10.000 downloads, 4.2 rate on google play, and lots of users played it for hundreds of hours already, catching hundreds of monsters near their homes and sharing their stories online (which made me really happy). Just a quick note: this game was not created as a competitor for Pokémon GO at all, since concept and development started in 2014 and way before GO announcement, and as you can see below, the mechanics are a lot different and more inspired by pokémon games and anime. But even if I see them as different games, people like to compare them, so here are some reviews the game has received in just the last two months: Game screens Route photos The basic idea is that through the game, the entire real world is composed of regions and routes, and every route is a habitat for a different family of monsters. The common sense for most mechanics was inspired by the pokémon anime, more than the games. Also, this is a game to be played while you're outside, in a matter of seconds. You won't find the depth of canonical pokémon games, because it would take too long to play, and because it must remain generic enough to be adaptable to non-pokémon sets. An important keyword is, EXPLORE. This game's goal is to encourage you exploring, going around outside and discovering new places and things. A brief summary of pokémon-like mechanics: - Levels between 1 and 100, and level ups by battling and earning exp - 8 gym leaders + Elite 4 + Champion to beat in each region - Type advantages - Different personalities - Rare legendaries and shinies - Walk with eggs, warm them with warm monsters, and then hatch them - NPC Trainers that become stronger every time you beat them - Music changes when the route changes - Evolutions through levels, evolution items, happiness, trades - Different forms depending on item held, hour, season, etc. - Bluetooth trades to exchange monsters with other players - Manageable boxes - Nicknames - Trainer card with your data - TMs to be learned (though moves are always just generic typed moves) - Gyms can be confronted in any order and the leaders use different teams depending on your current state - Some mechanics specifically oriented toward obsessed shiny hunters :D Here is the link to the page on google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tankenka.gms Requires android 3.0 or higher. Details on the game's mechanics (NON-UPDATED stuff here, read the in-game guide instead): I consider this a prototype anyway, and I dream of turning it into a more professional and complete game in the future, if I get to find skilled people to work with. I really hope you have fun with it. As I said ANY set of monsters can be made into a data pack for the game. If you want your set of fakémon, or digimon, or monster hunter monsters, or characters from fire emblem or undertale, animals, bugs, dinosaurs, you can do it, any large set of creatures is perfect for it, and I will gladly help you create it. I think the Fakémon option is particularly interesting, because they can also be used to promote an artist work or a fangame. Also for a generic fakémon data pack, with artworks made by lots of different artists, I can add some content in the Dex screen so that the name of the author can be found, along with a link to their website/gallery. Ask away if you have doubts or difficulties. Thank you!

Pokemon Lunatic Crystal is a difficulty ROM Hack that provides not only a major challenge, but is also an attempt at making Gen 2 more balanced and enjoyable, while also retaining the charm of the original games. Lunatic Crystal has the following features: • Trainer parties have been massively improved. Every trainer has a more varied and stronger line-up and all of the important opponents have custom movesets (many of which also use Hidden Power with an advantageous type), held items, better Pokemon and are at a higher level. • Lunatic Crystal has Level Caps that set you on equal terms with the bosses that are increased with each badge/met condition. At a certain level your Pokemon will no longer gain EXP, no matter what you do whether be it battling, using Rare Candies or using the Daycare. As an extra feature Pokemon also no longer gain EXP once they reach Level 100. • Every important trainer has had their DVs improved. • When defeated, the Player does not lose half of their money like usual, but rather a proportional amount depending on your highest level Pokemon and the number of badges the player has. • Lunatic Crystal features a brand new secondary Rival in Lyra, who will obtain the starter weak to the player’s and challenge the player at various points in the main story, both in Johto and Kanto for a total of 7 battles. Silver also has an extra battle in Johto. • More opponents use healing items and those that already did have better ones available. • Stat EXP and all of the badge boosts have been removed. The 25% Status miss chance that the AI had is also gone. This makes fights more challenging and sets the player on equal footing with enemy trainers. Furthermore Vitamins (with the exception of PP UP) and X items have been removed. • Lunatic Crystal removes the “SWITCH” battle mode, every single trainer battle is on “SET” mode and the player is prohibited from using items in battle against important opponents. • The progression of the game has been made more linear, rather than open like the original Crystal to better help with the level curve. There are also changes to the Gym Leader order, Eusine’s Cianwood City battle (and the Suicune event), as well as the Tin Tower section is now enforced. The game also features extra mandatory opponents. The Sprout Tower is also a mandatory location when the player visits Violet City for the first time and acts as the first, real challenge of the game as well as a check that prevents progression. Some Gym Leaders will also refuse to accept your challenge if you do not have the right amount of badges. • Lunatic Crystal has new mandatory battles in Johto such as a second battle with Eusine and trainers normally only fought in Kanto. • More generic trainers are available for the player to fight, with examples including Jasmine having Gym trainers, trainers being in Ice Path and various new trainers in multiple locations in Kanto. • Team Rocket now longer has unnamed Executives, all the members present in HGSS (Proton, Petrel, Ariana and Archer) are present in this hack. All of the Team Rocket members use the Team Rocket theme and all of them have a custom “R” battle transition. There is also an important returning character… • Every Gym Leader has a unique battle transition with their respective Gym Badge, the Elite Four have new battle transitions as well. • The player has the ability to rematch all 16 Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, Champion Lance, the Rivals, Red, as well as many characters that were fought at some point in the playthrough, that includes the new Kanto characters. In total there are over 30 Level 100 rematches for the player to take on. All of these rematches are unlocked (other than the E4 rematches which are unlocked after beating Blue) after beating Red, with one main exception. • Battles against important Kanto characters that were not in the original GSC have been added (ex. You can now battle Lorelei in Kanto). Professor Oak also is able to be fought after beating the main game. • Some trainers now have new, custom battle themes that were added into this hack. • Better encounter variety in Johto: you can now get every Johto Pokemon before unlocking Kanto and many Kanto Pokemon are now obtainable in Johto. The player can now also get fossils and revive them just like in Generation 1. Game Corner Pokemon have also been changed. Wild Pokemon have increased levels as well and you tend to find more evolved forms in the wild. • The player can now catch all 251 Pokemon. Every single legendary can be caught as an overworld encounter, with the exception of Raikou and Entei who are still roaming Pokemon. • Some in-game trades have been changed (for example you can now get a Rhyhorn in Violet City). • The Celebi event has been restored and functions in the same way as the Virtual Console releases. • Friendship and Trade evolutions have been removed, every Pokemon that evolves now does so by either level up or with the use of evolution stones. Evolution Stones are now purchasable in Goldenrod and Celadon, albeit at a higher price. Several Pokemon now also evolve at lower levels. • Improved level-up learnsets: the vast majority of Pokemon now have much better learnsets, with all moves being learned at lower levels. All evolution stages share the levels at which they learn moves, so the player no longer needs to delay evolutions and can enjoy a power boost right away. This does not apply to most stone evolutions (the exception being for example Eevee), however. • Improved TM/HM learnsets: Many Pokemon now have the ability to learn new TMs and HMs. TMs are now also reuseable, rather than one use. Pokemon can now freely forget HMs as well. A lot of TMs that normally would only be obtainable in Kanto, can now be found in Johto. TMs and HMs found or obtained in the overworld instantly display the name of the move, rather than just the number of the TM/HM. • This hack features two new Move Tutors in Cianwood City and Blackthorn City that teach the following moves: Thunder Wave, Reflect, Light Screen (Cianwood) and Rock Slide, Outrage and Submission (Blackthorn). The Goldenrod Move Tutor now appears after defeating Pryce, rather than beating the Elite Four. He can also be found on all days of the week, charges 500 coins rather than 4000 coins and does not dissapear after teaching one of your party members a new move. • Ecruteak City has a Move Relearner who can teach your Pokemon moves that they knew at lower levels at a cost of 500 Pokedollars. • Many moves have changed power, accuracy and type, as well as new effects in order to make them more viable and give player more varied options (For example Strength is now a Rock Type Move and Sky Attack functions in a similar way to Brave Bird). • Some Pokemon have increased stats and new secondary types in order to make them more viable. • Fourth Stat Page in which you can view the DVs of the Pokemon, as well as its’ Hidden Power type. • Many in-game rewards have been changed, for instance Mr. Pokemon’s reward for bringing him the Red Scale is the TM for Hyper Beam. • The Cianwood Pharmacy now sells status curing Berries. • All Pokemon now have custom, colored menu icons. Badges that are viewed in the trainer card also have colour now. • Some characters such as Eusine get a new overworld sprite. Characters added to this hack also get an overworld sprite of their own. • The EXP system has been updated to match the one found in Generation 6, all battle participants obtain an equal amount of EXP and the EXP. Share now functions the same as it does in Gen 6 and is now a key item, instead of a held item. To further help with the grind, the player now can get more Rare Candies either in the overworld, or as rewards. Lucky Egg is also obtainable in Johto. Catching Pokemon also grants EXP, just like it does in Let’s Go games for instance. The EXP Share is also obtained very early to make levelling much less tedious, the player receives it from Prof. Elm once they deal with the rival for the first time and get Pokeballs. • The mart in Indigo Plateau sells Rare Candies at the price of 10 after Blue has been defeated to take away the need for grinding for the final battles of the game. • Introduction of Repel as a togglable Key Item. The Repel is obtained after being shown around Cherrygrove by the Guide (which is now a mandatory scene) and it can be turned on and off at any moment and it acts as an infinite repellent. Because of this the regular Repels have been removed from the game since they serve no purpose. Also the Map Card is now obtained as soon as you get the Pokegear. • Pocket PC is a new key item that allows you to open the PC in the overworld at any time. It’s obtained as soon as you get your starter Pokemon and it serves as a great tool to organize your party and check caught Pokemon as soon as you can, without the need to rush to the nearest PC. There is a limiation however, it cannot be used indoors, so you can’t use in spots like Rocket Hideout, Radio Tower, Gyms or Indigo Plateau. • Bag expansion: Rather than having a limit of just 20 items, the bag can now fit up to 84 items. • Resetting the Clock is now a pernament Menu Option, removing the need for any button inputs and passwords. • Many QoL features: The ability to run by pressing B that also allows for fast surfing, removal of the save delay (that also helps with organizing boxes), a clock in the bottom left corner while the menu is open, Pokemon don’t take damage in the overworld, faster healing in the Pokemon Center of the first heal, Kurt instantly making Pokeballs, among others. Lunatic Crystal v1.7 features a Grindless mode, giving the player the opportunity to buy Rare Candies in every Mart, starting with Violet City and it’s located in a Grindless patch. If the player prefers the previous leveling method they can choose the Classic mode patch.
