- - - INTRODUCTION - - -
Pokémon Daybreak
is a fangame made in Pokémon Essentials, and has been in the works for over 4 years by an extremely small development team. For incentive, we have explored: the Pokémon anime and games, real world locations, mythical legends and more. Recently as of Feburary 2023, we have released a huge overhaul update which was in the works for over 2 years!

A meteor has struck, and you, the local professor's new assistant are assigned to the case. However, some mischievous individuals have beat you to it; and are inspecting the meteor for their own purposes. Who are they, and why is the meteor imperative?

Pokémon Daybreak introduces the enigmatic region 'Armira', and is centralised around storytelling and challenging gameplay. The game is aesthetically beautiful and there are many unique locations you will encounter on your journey, such as a meteor crash site, a castle and a cherry blossom forest. Themes of exploitation, greed, and history are examined and lore is dotted all throughout the game. Take on the challenge of becoming Pokémon Champion in the all-embracing region of Armira!

A quick question.
I am not sure if this has been brought up by someone but I have been playing the game with Espeon and I decided to utilize an Aquix to turn my Espeon into the water/psychic Sootheon and upon doing so I noticed something rather odd.
Both Espeon and Vaporeon are both s.atk mons therefore I expected the water/psychic eevee to be also a s.atk mon, upon evolving the stats I ended up obtaining where: 211HP, 177ATK, 207DEF (+nature), 96S.ATK, 95S.DEF, 107 SPD (-nature).
With that I decided to go online to see if there was any pokedex of the game that showed info about this mon and I found this https://pokemon-daybreak.fandom.com/wiki/Sootheon
This site ends up showing me stats that seem to fit the pokemon more so ... was this a bug? I am honestly confused as to which stats are the intended ones.

Hi! So, I really like this game. I'm just to where I'm about to battle Flora, the first Gym Leader. But I only have one complaint and that is that there is no option to set the battle settings as shift or set, like I can't switch out my Pokemon when the opposing trainer is getting ready to send out their next pokemon. Although this doesn't bother me greatly, I was just wondering why the battle options of set and switch were left out? Or is it just a bug or something?

Hi, I am experiencing issues with opening the game. Whenever I open the application it displays an error saying,
"Script 'Quests NEW (Friv)' line 316: Errno::ENOENT occurred. No such file or directory - PBS/ quests.txt"

Please help.

Edit: im on windows 7

I do have a question...

Is it normal that there is no way to set the battle mode to switch instead of having a no switch between opponents by default ? I started hard mode and thought it was one of the restrictions of hard mode but then I made a normal mode and bad surprise it's the same, no option to change battle style...

Not that it's mandatory but it's much less annoying, never liked the no switch mode...

I really enjoy the graphics, the details on many stuff like the battle background matching area and time of day, the ev / iv display, the musics are cool, but just this no switch in battles is a huge inconvinience...

Any way it can be added ?

This game is awesome and your work is great, one of the best fan made pokemon games ever. My only complaint is the fact that HMs are regular TMs because it can break the game easily. I used cut on a bunneary at the start of the game and later I realized I was stuck with it for the rest of the game, so I made it learn rock smash and strength too. Recently I was EV training my pokemon without paying attention and it leveled up and learned bounce over strength. I didn't realize and I kept playing for a while. Now I can't progress in the game further. Is there a way to purchase the TM somewhere? Or to re-learn it using heart scales with a tutor? Is really shitty that I can no longer finish the game or that I have to start over for that...

Thanks for the support! The latest patch has to be applied to fix that bug.
