Synopsis:
You signed up to work for Roark to discover fossils for Professor Rowan to study because all the other fossils aren't his.

Rebirth theme:
The Noble Pokémon you revive throughout the game and Torrant's actions depending on his opinion.

Bugs:
There might still be some right sideways stairs that softlock you. I'm not sure where though.
Hisuian Pokémon and Golbat sprites don't appear.
Machoke can learn Strength via level up allowing earlier than intended exploration of Mt. Coronet and a softlock if you speak with dawn after moving a boulder.

Just got softlocked.
I beat the Kleavor and got Rock Smash, so I started exploring the map.

I reached the Unown cave and explored it once again. At the end of the unown cave, I got a message the Roark was waiting for me and when I left, there he was. That was when I knew I messed up the scripting. The last save I had was before I entered Unown Cave so i tried rebooting the game. It opened to me in front of Roark. Did it autosave?

I tried going back to the starter mining town, and found I could go in and mine again. But when I reached my fourth mining activity, there was no notification that my work day was over. I left and my apartment said I can sleep, so I proceeded to Day 12

The next day, I'm unable to mine anymore as the mining spots are gone.

Roark seems to show up in a few places now. Outside the lab to go to Celestal city (to find Cynthia), outside the unown cave and near Kleavor. The Kleavor event apparently spawned again so I beat Kleavor once more and returned to the mining town.

Now the mining cave says I don't need to work, and I can't go into the apartment to sleep. Apparently Roark is supposed to take me to Canalave city at this point.. but.. he's not there.

So yeah I guess Im unable to continue to plot here now
 
Softlocked with the Hisuan Liligant. Never appeared to cut a certain plant(saw in others youtube playthroughs). Can't go back past Solaceon. Roark is still outside the ruins from an earlier event and can send you back to Oreburgh, but that just makes you unable to do anything since you cannot sleep, go into the mine, or return to the routes(makes sense since you had to be tossed up over the muddy side).

Sorry I couldn't respond sooner, the website was down for me. Can you send me your save file so I can see in more detail how you're stuck?

I'm not sure why the plant didn't cut for you, but I could free you from the softlock if you send me your save. If you still remember more about what happened, I could probably find a way to prevent that from happening again.
