About the Game

Vinemon: Sauce Edition is a Pokémon Fan Game made in
RPG Maker XP with the Pokémon Essentials Engine.

The game is set in a new Region known as 'Fanoth', which
used to be a region that was once believed that no person
would or should ever be able to enter.

Our goal while developing this game was to create a love
note for the Vinesauce Community that we've been in for years.

With that in mind, however, the game itself can be enjoyed by people
unfamiliar with the community and the jokes/memes around such.
As everything fits within the world as if it was always part of it.

Vinemon: Sauce Edition, while isn't a challenge hack, is balanced to
have every Vinemon be viable in battle with each one fitting into a niche
perfect for one's team. We also believed in the idea that if all of them are
balanced to be broken then none of them are broken.

This has allowed us to create an extremely fun and interesting gameplay
all of which can be taken online with the Cable Club.

Here are some images to get a gist of your adventure.
Note some of these do spoil some moments so click at your own risk:

You are Vinny Vinesauce a streamer from Staten Island, New York.
On one Sunday night, you planned to play a mysterious game
made by your community titled Vinemon: Sauce Edition.

The game is loaded up but your house’s power
flickers on and off while the internet fully cuts out.
Do not presume this was the doing of vineRizon.
The power that calls you to this world is far greater
than that of those internet providers.

As you exit your house you find you aren’t in Statin
Island
anymore but in a region called “Fanoth”.
As you look for answers to why you were brought
here you
discover that Imakuni was also brought to
this world
and is now your next-door rival. When you
begin to share notes a sudden explosion happens
and you both rush outside to see the cause of it.

You discover the professor panicked and the
only
Vinemon he has left for you to use is a
Water-Typed Vinemon
named Scoot.

After being given Scoot and a battle with your
rival & friend Imakuni, You are given the VineGear
to keep track of quests, manage your PC, and check
the map of the region
.

As you overlook the map you begin to
realize this world is strikingly familiar. Yet these places
feel completely different from the ones you visited
in the past on stream.

As you travel the region you will meet many of the
characters you’ve created and encountered while
streaming. This includes iconic video game mascots,
Original Characters
(donut steel), Celebrities, Memes,
Streamers, YouTubers, and many more!

Explore, Battle, and Catch in Vinemon before it’s too
late. After all, you still got a Sunday Stream to put on
and you can’t leave chat alone unattended.

Can this play on Joiplay by any chance.
Currently, we don't have Joiplay support, there are quite a few Windows-reliant DLLs. Like the intro/mid game video/cutscenes and a couple of other things.
It is feasible that this stuff could be stripped out, but as we are still in development we most likely won't put out a Joiplay version until after we finish the game in general when post game is done.

Oh, okay thank you for answering my question hopefully it will be able to play on Joiplay. Lucky enough I got a PC. Just like playing on my phone. You have a good night or day. Good luck on this game.

That's fair, thankfully tho, if you have the option/device. The game pretty much seamlessly works on the SteamDeck. There is only one issue right at the end of the game, but we have a fix that's done manually as it's mostly a minor thing. Which allows you to just skip the issue.
@thepsynergist would send you said fix on the discord if asked.

This is low on our list of solving as it's a very limited user pool, but it is on our back end of wanting to solve fully without needing to supply personal fixes.

Also thank you for the kind words, have a good day/night to you as well! ❤️

what are the shiny/corrupted vinemon odds in this game?
As per our site, which has a lot of the changes documented:
The Shiny Encounter rate is 6%, by default.
The Corruption Encounter rate is 3% by default.
With these %'s in mind, you can also double up which is a 0.0018% chance to encounter.
We do have Shiny and Corruptions chance boost items which can increase that to 0.72% if you choose to want to hunt them all.

ok thanks for the info. im gonna love this game i love the idea for the corrupted shinys, as a fan of fakemon games, this will get interesting really quick. i know that i won't know 98% of the reference in the game due to the fact i don't watch Vinesause as much, but i can see that the creators of this game put a LOT of effort into this game and you made an really creative idea for this game. i know that there are other youtubes in their own fan made games. but i will say that this one is a top gem. and i can't wait to see the amazing content in this game.😊

( i know that i went off topic with this message, but i really love to play this game and you all did amazing work with this)

Vinemon is absolutely incredible! Seriously, if you're a fan of Pokemon or a fan of Vinny and Vinesauce as a whole, you've got to check out this game. It's not just a one and done meme-game, it's like stepping into a whole new world of adventure and excitement.
First off, the visuals are stunning. I'm talking about bright, colorful graphics that pop off the screen and make you feel like you're right there in the action. And the Vinemon themselves? They're adorable! Each one has its own unique look and personality, and you can't help but fall in love with them. Some of them are hilarious and some of them are just plain cool.

Searophron is my favorite, thank you very much.

And let's talk about the story. Man, is it good! You're not just wandering around aimlessly battling trainers and collecting badges. No, sir. In Vinemon, you're on a real adventure, uncovering ancient mysteries and foiling the plans of evil villains. It's like being the hero of your very own epic saga. It takes everything you want in an RPG and adds just the right amount of Vinesauce that it never feels like it's just a vehicle for memes or a bullet point list of Vinesauce references. It weaves everything together just right.
Honestly, I could go on and on about how amazing Vinemon is, but people have just got to experience it for themselves. Even if you have no idea who Vinesauce is, this game has insane quality from start to finish that it stands out as a shining example of what fangames can be.

Oh, and the music. Perfect score, 10/10. You guys got me into the Beach Boys. I was already into Red Vox.

Since the Forums are back up!
We had two updates since it went down!

Thank you for playing Vinemon: Sauce Edition!
This patch includes a multitude of changes. Below contain the following changes:

v1.1.5

📝 Increased the likelihood of the player having sex by 35%. Unfortunately, since the likelihood is 0, a
percentage increase will have no visible effect.
📝 Added two new Vinemon! Shorts and Pants have been added to the roster! Both Normal/Ghost
type. Shorts will soon be available as an Egg through a newly released Mystery Gift, for now.
📝 The game can now auto-update from inside the game. No longer will future patches require
downloading the patch separately. The game will now do all that for you. Upon launching the game, the
game will check if there's an update available and ask the player if they'd like to update. If the player
says yes, the game will close and a window will pop up that will download the patch, extract the
contents of the patch, and patch the game for the player. Once this process is complete, the game will
relaunch, fully patched.
📝 Terrain Effects now have a visual indicator. When a Terrain Effect is applied, the battle background
will change to reflect this. The previous battle background will load when the effect expires.
📝 Added a "Steam Deck" mode to the options menu. When enabled, prevents the game from crashing
on steam deck due to a lack of a recording device access.
📝 Mike Love grew a pair and will now fight you after the Jahn Rangers fail to stop you.
📝 Catch rate multipliers are now displayed in the item description of Vineballs.

~Move Changes~

📝 New Move: Burning Stare: A +1 priority move that burns the target. 95% Acc. 5 PP.
📝 New Move: Silk Song: A sound based physical Bug move that raises defense when used (doesn't
make contact). 95 BP, 100 Acc, 10 PP.
📝 New Move: Fire of Sinai: 25 BP, 95 Acc. ???-type Special move. The user cleanses the target in a
baptising flame three to seven times in a row.
📝 Modified Rapture to be 75 BP (up from 60 BP) but 5 PP (down from 10 PP). Still won't cause
flinching if used in succession.
📝 Land's Wrath now properly only targets opponent's side of the field.
📝 Thousand Waves now properly only targets opponent's side of the field.
📝 Diamond Storm now properly only targets opponent's side of the field.
📝 Spud Spout is no longer considered a bomb move.
📝 Man Slave is no longer considered a pulse move.
📝 Charge now keeps the charge until you use an Electric move.~Item Changes~
📝 New Item: Element Orb: When held, the user has 2x STAB instead of 1.5. When hit with a super
effective attack, consume the item and increase attacking stats by 1 stage. When flung, 80 BP, and
causes a random status ailment.

~Ability Changes~

📝 New Ability: False Flames - Contact moves made by the owner of this ability, have a 30% chance
to burn the target, if the target can be burned and makes contact.
📝 New Ability: Ignition Point. Getting hit by a super effective move will make your next 3 moves be
considered super effective, regardless of opponents typing.

~Vinemon Changes~

📝 Rexphile has forced Ghanoose to relocate after taking over their Lake Entropy habitat.
📝 Hollowmite and Mourtis now has access to Silk Song. Learned at level 42. Megahorn moved to
level 50.

~Bug Fixes~

📝 Resolved undefined fainted? method (needed to be isFainted?) as it pertains to the Receiver ability.
📝 Resolved issue related to the RNG check for online use of Quick Claw.
📝 Resolved stairs facing inconsistency in Eggspress Tunnel.
📝 Resolved issue with proper battle background not being used near the end of the labs section.
📝 Resolved issue with Desert Cloak setting up sand if you attack first in a round.
📝 Resolved issue with Cognitto not updating their sprite properly if battle animations are turned off.
📝 Resolved issue with Corrupted Safari Zone Battle BGM not playing when in the cave section of the
Zone.
📝 Resolved issue with Entrainment succeeding against a target holding an Ability Shield.
📝 Fixed line break issue on Cloud portrait.
📝 AI will have an increased priority for switching an Imposter Cognitto into a Soul Steal Druzinatos
if boosted (already was like this for other abilities like Moxie)
📝 Waluigi Gatehouse battle background set properly.
📝 Resolved issue with Vineballs not properly displaying their sprite when swapped.

~Miscellaneous Changes~

📝 Added Safari Zone back to Habitats list and had them all fit on the page.
📝 Using the Vii-AR-P while the effect is still in play, will now turn off the Vii-AR-P (Standard
duration still needs to be in effect.)
📝 Overhauled Habitat stamps.
📝 Slightly raised levels on Route 8 to keep in line with the level curve.

📝 Hidden items not revealed by Vii-AR-P properly setup (don't need to stand on top of them to trigger
them.)
📝 Gym Leader Statues now all properly update if Vinny beat the gym. If you have Level Caps
enabled, talking to these statues will tell you the current cap the levels are set to.
📝 Resolved softlock in lab regarding DMCA machine if you talk to it from the right side.
📝 AI won't use White Noise when affected by the effects of White Noise.
📝 AI improved as it pertains to identifying bomb moves.

v1.1.6

~Ability Changes~

📝 Elegiac Eddy will now end the effects of Trick Room if Trick Room is already in effect.
📝 Fluffy and Insulation now lower the amount of steps needed to hatch eggs, like Magma Armor and
Flame Body do.

~Item Changes~

📝 New Item: Blustering Fan. A powerful fan that increases the power of Wind moves by 30% when held.
📝 Stone Mask will now state how much healing it does in the item description (1/4ths of all damage dealt.) In addition, Vinemon holding this item will take 1/3rd of their max HP in damage while under the effects of Sunny Day or Drought, up from 1/4.

~Vinemon Changes~

📝 Shorts and Pants are considered "Doodled", as it pertains to the effects of Doodle Pen.
📝 Farfetch'd and Fabricat'd have a chance to hold Blustering Fan.

~Bug Fixes~

📝 Quick Claw no longer throws an exception when checking if the holder should go first.
📝 Area names are now properly shown when you enter Kokomo Keep and Ghost House.
📝 Corruptron no longer resets your progress after returning to the Void Kingdom.
📝 Fixed frog residue lingering over the potato hole puzzle.
📝 Fixed edge of map being visible in Regalis.
