Pokémon Daybreak is a fangame made in Pokémon Essentials, and has been in the works for over 4 years by an extremely small development team. For incentive, we have explored: the Pokémon anime and games, real world locations, mythical legends and more. Recently as of Feburary 2023, we have released a huge overhaul update which was in the works for over 2 years!

- - - STORY - - -
A meteor has struck, and you, the local professor's new assistant are assigned to the case. However, some mischievous individuals have beat you to it; and are inspecting the meteor for their own purposes. Who are they, and why is the meteor imperative?

Pokémon Daybreak introduces the enigmatic region 'Armira', and is centralised around storytelling and challenging gameplay. The game is aesthetically beautiful and there are many unique locations you will encounter on your journey, such as a meteor crash site, a castle and a cherry blossom forest. Themes of exploitation, greed, and history are examined and lore is dotted all throughout the game. Take on the challenge of becoming Pokémon Champion in the all-embracing region of Armira!

This game is unforgiving. I really do mean it that. I had to cheat to win and even then because of the level cap, I can hardly win. I must know though, the karma score? I was expecting that maybe you can join the bad guys? Become one of the members? Is there even a way to do so? Also, you gotta bring hms and tms to be unlimited. Especially the hms because once you delete that move, its gone. You are stuck. And this game forces you to create a tm slave almost way too often. Its a pain in the ass. You gotta make the game either easier or at the very least, make it a little more fair cause again, this game is unforgivingly hard.

Sounds like you didn't patch your game correctly because hms are unlimited and there's only a level cap on hard mode.

Looks like I learned that the hard way. Kinda pisses me off.

So after doing some research on this game, I am kinda disapointed. You have this karma system and you think that if you have a low enough karma or if you have done some bad deeds, you think that maybe you could even join the bad guys or something but outside of the interview, there is so little impact of the story when it comes to karma. Sure, you can only access certain things from having bad karma like getting a toxic orb from a grunt which if you have a Pokemon with guts, you know how good it will be, along with getting a uniform in the base so you don't end up being caught easily. But there is so little gain from being a jerk or downright evil. Here are just a few things you can get with positive karma. Lucky egg, TM Psychic, a Krokroc with aqua tail. See what I mean? All I a saying that maybe the karma system could be reworked where you can actually become a member of team rumble? Cause that one girl did say you should join her.

This is a fangame, not a ROM Hack. You just play it through the .exe in the game's folder, it doesn't use an emulator.

Ok I tried that and the game did play but every time I click into it it extracts the data every time. Sorry I'm kinda computer illiterate so I'll just play around with it, thank you.

I noticed that credit is given for some maps, but the labyrinth maps weren't all credited. What other maps were taken practically unedited and not cited?

You need to unzip the file and then put the contents into the folder. (Also, PrtSc key will take a screencap, it's a lot easier to look at/share than taking a photo of your screen)

No, it's an RPG Maker game, it's not a ROM.

not too sure. I think that's a computer issue rather than a game issue.

Is it possible to get back a hm somewhere in the game? I used the rock smash tm before I downloaded the patch and I don't have it in my bag anymore.

Also in the safari zone, when I throw the safari ball and the pokemon escapes the game crashes too.

I don't like this feature where a pokemon reaches a Certain level then stops getting xp until you get a new gym badge. level caps really ruin the game especially when you fight a trainer that is ridiculously op please change it

I started this game last evening and am stuck in the first gym, the Edgston Gym.
I can't get to the gym leader because I am not able to cut the tree blocking her. I have a Cut user on me but nothing happens when I interact with the tree and when I select 'Cut' from the Pokemon menu it says I need a badge.

I'm certain this has to be the first gym because both areas that are not dead ends are blocked off currently.
What do I do?
I've tried Game-Z it won't even load, it gets stuck on black for several seconds and then a script error pops up.
I installed the patch and still the issue persists.

Received the answer on Pokecommunity. Apparently, there is a switch to clear the tree. An NPC needs to explain that.
