Notes:
It's random chance that goes into deciding who you face at the Gym. I've done everything I could think of to keep it interesting and avoid repetition, but it may happen once in a while, especially early on. Also, some early-game Trainers get stronger if you leave them be. You can only fight each Trainer once, so make it count!
Finally, there is no barrier between areas. You can access areas containing Pokemon five times your strength straight out the gate!

You can only get Earthquake if you pick a Ground Type gym

As mentioned, Earthquake is only available to a Ground gym leader. And no, none of the starters are available to catch in the wild - the few that are (such as Cherubi, Onix, Aron, etc) have alternate versions you can catch, with the original versions being starter-only.

Darn, that sucks, that means the Gligar I picked for my flying gym sucks since it can't get a good stab ground move. Might need to start over then.

Loving the game so far, ngl. May have hit a massive roadblock though.

I recently got defeated while out and about, which would ordinarily be fine, but I had just gone on vacation and stopped by the Pokemon Center in Frijed City. And had yet to return to the Umbal City Pokemon Center since then. And since I had already returned from that vacation, taking the end time along with me, I currently have no clue how to get back.

I tried using the gym leader hotline to take another vacation day in hopes it would send me off or something, but apparently you need to go to the town hall to start that. Which I also currently don't have access to.

Am I stuck forever with no option but to reset the game? Because that would be something of a bummer.

I'm playing as a grass gym leader, and Can I know all the grass type encounters?? Rn I only have Lilliganth, Lurantis, Breloom, Cherrim, Decidueye, and Tortera and I have the other grass starters boxxed in the pc. Is there budew or bouncesweet in the game?

Hmmmmm I never had that problem I been using a controller for this game I use a program called Antimicro I set the correct keys to the buttons on my controller other than that I don't know what to tell you.

It doesn't really change nothing if you call the Mayor, the police or don't call anyone from what I can tell.

Honestly nothing else happens you just get extra dialogue nothing changes either way, I've done all three options called the mayor, called the police and called no one and everything played out the same.
