Notes:
It's random chance that goes into deciding who you face at the Gym. I've done everything I could think of to keep it interesting and avoid repetition, but it may happen once in a while, especially early on. Also, some early-game Trainers get stronger if you leave them be. You can only fight each Trainer once, so make it count!
Finally, there is no barrier between areas. You can access areas containing Pokemon five times your strength straight out the gate!

No. They either have to be the type you chose for your gym or you have to teach them your special move. You can only use two pokemon that aren't the correct type but know the special move.

I no longer had encounters in the Even Badder Lands when I made this and it is almost certainly incomplete. I believe you have to go to your house and open the box on your table and then you should be able to talk to the mayor again
