Notes:
It's random chance that goes into deciding who you face at the Gym. I've done everything I could think of to keep it interesting and avoid repetition, but it may happen once in a while, especially early on. Also, some early-game Trainers get stronger if you leave them be. You can only fight each Trainer once, so make it count!
Finally, there is no barrier between areas. You can access areas containing Pokemon five times your strength straight out the gate!
Have fun you guys!

Hey, I got this error code today while speaking with the lad on the 3rd floor of the city mall.
Maybe someone got an idea how to avoid that? :)

The creator said that due to an update that involved adding new things, it messed up the numbering for some things and that could lead to something like this happening. Basically, imagine everything in the game has a value assigned to it, lets say moves are labelled 1-100 based on their entry in the mainline Pokemon games. If the move that would normally be 50 in a mainline game is added to the number 50 slot, that means that everything has to be shifted up by 1, so the move that WAS #50 is now #51, etc. It's part of the reason why once a ROM hack is made (I know this isn't a ROM hack, just using it as a reference) you'll probably NEVER see them add new PC boxes post-release otherwise it'd mess up your entire storage system due to that numbering quirk. It's unfortunately just a pitfall of this programming type, not the fault of the developer. I hope that made sense, if not then I'm sorry for confusing you D:

Their recommended fix is Heart Scales to get your moves fixed again :)

First time posting. Been playing this game since the start of the week and I love it. The selection of Pokémon is nice and I love the combined mechanics of the different gens. It has the charm of the older games with the well oiled systems of the newer ones with a good variety of 'mons. I would like to see if we are going to get any more or not. I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm a huge fan of Lopunny. You can pull off some major shenanigans with Limber and Trickeroo. Overall, fantastic game. I can tell how much hard work has gone into it.

Small complaint time. I personally have a really demanding work schedule which means I miss out on playing in the mornings. I do enjoy the day/night cycle though, not just baseless complaining. (I'm not certain, but I think just changing my system time would fix that issue)

I also just had to restart my playthrough due to a bug. I got the letter from Edgar to come fight him, but then went to bed irl and the next day forgot where I was story-wise. I then scheduled a vacation. I couldn't leave until I fought Edgar so I went and beat him (Good tough fight) and was sent home to rest. I was then stuck in my house and couldn't sleep because I needed to go on my vacation but couldn't leave because I needed to rest.

Final notes. I'm fairly certain that you did a good job of spreading out a few possible encounters for each type though I'd see to adding a few extra for some diversity in team building.

Only other thing I can think of is the problem with dual types in the gym. The game doesn't register that a Poison/Fire type is a fire type for gym purposes. While you can teach it the signature move for the most part it still eats up one of your off type slots. I don't know if this is intentional or just something that's really tricky to work out in programming.

Keep up the amazing work, but don't burn yourself out. I'd hate to see this gem fall to the wayside.

Just to confirm for you, the creator has said the day-night cycle works off your system clock, so you are correct in assuming that changing your system time will change your position within the game's day-night cycle. That being said, I know there used to be a bug with Pokemon Essentials (what this and pretty much any Pokemon RPGMaker game is made on) where if there was a severe change in time within the game it'd crash (like if you change your system clock from, say, 1 PM to 3 AM or something), and idk if that's been fixed within Essentials yet so to be safe, I'd recommend saving and closing the game BEFORE changing your internal clock. Or at least save the game then do it without closing to see if that bug had been fixed by the PE team. I just don't want you to lose progress over something like that, you know?

Unfortunately I can't really comment on your other stuff, though I will ask YOU a question if you don't mind: I can't find Edgar, I can't even find the Badlands lol. Could you be a bro and help point me in the right direction, friendo?

So I don't want to spoil too much, but if you progress far enough you will be taken to the Badlands. If you've already done that section and just don't remember how to get there then head west of town and explore the caves and if you're thorough enough you should get there no problem.

Yeah I've gotten to the point where you get the letter, but since the map is messed up it was hard to figure out where to go. Do I go through the first cave to the west, or the last one?

The Fire cave. I think the name was Firesteel as opposed to Coldsteel. It's the first one you see.

My entire flying team was double type with one off-type and I didn't have any problems with it
What was your team? It might be to do with the Pokemon if it's custom made?

It was a Salandit which is Poison/Fire, and then Torchic and Fletchinder which are both primary Fire and weren't a problem. Maybe it was just my bad memory, but I thought it wouldn't let me start the gym until I taught Salandit Flamethrower.

what happens when you answer all the questions in knowledge cave?
It opens the blocked off exit at far left towards the bottom

What's the warning message that you get? I never tried it, so just trying to get info
You sure it wasn't before you evolved Fletchling? Only thing I can think of with those 3

I can't quite remember, I'll see if I can replicate it on the new file or if maybe I was just crazy. And no, it was definitely after I evolved Fletchling into Fletchinder. My original team was Vulpix, Torchic, and Fletchinder. But then I saw a Salandit and wanted to use it because I never had. Spent like two hours before I found a single female Salandit. That's the problem with a Pokémon like Salandit as a rare encounter. It was fairly uncommon to begin with, but with only like 12% chance for female it sucked trying to get it.

Is there a way to make a trade evolution possible without trading?
I think they've been replaced with levels, but someone will have to confirm what they are
In the case of the original 4 trade evos, you can catch them wild if that's any good to you. Otherwise, I'd think level (or hold the relevant item and level in the case of, say, Onix)

I've read through the history and it looks like people are saying they're either happiness or level while holding their item

There's no Link Cable like in PL:A, so I'd assume level plus whatever else

I'm gonna do a second run through this weekend, the gf suggested ghost. I'm either misreading or being thick, but can anyone confirm Misdreavus has an evolution, and maybe how you go about doing them? Will be checking out Hitmonchan too
Also would defo recommend Luxray for any team it will go in, that free Tailwind plus Volt Switch is very good, especially if you're playing on Set or whatever

From what I read, you earn vacation days based on the amount of days you serve as gym leader up to 5 starting the first day after you unlock that. I'm actually just past the part where you unlock them so I don't have too much info on that yet, but I think the gym leader usually approaches you when you land on their island and you'll find out how to challenge from there. Other than the vacation gym leaders, there aren't any badges that I'm aware of, instead your badge progress is actually just your rank as a Gym Leader.
how do i start the vacation? because when I call the gym management it doesn't pop up

You have to get to a certain point in the game, can't remember where though
Keep earning reputation from winning battles, completing the side missions and making buildings and it'll come eventually
