Notes:
It's random chance that goes into deciding who you face at the Gym. I've done everything I could think of to keep it interesting and avoid repetition, but it may happen once in a while, especially early on. Also, some early-game Trainers get stronger if you leave them be. You can only fight each Trainer once, so make it count!
Finally, there is no barrier between areas. You can access areas containing Pokemon five times your strength straight out the gate!
Have fun you guys!

I Just started, chose Ice Type, took forever to find one, while looking at wiki I found out this region already has an ice gym.
My autistic ass could NOT let there be 2 ice gyms so I'm starting over with a different type.
Other than that, it's great so far 😃

edit: Clarifying that I am playing OG version, and i will also play Rank Up version in the future

Just started Rank Up Edition, It wont let me pick the girl trainer. No matter which i pick, i end up as the guy. Is this the result of a bug, or is the girl trainer not in it yet?

13 days... nearly 2 hours in
Here is some feedback

The game says buying a building gets you some revenue, except I've had a building since day 3 or so and I haven't seen any revenue coming from the building, if I have it's not significant at all to notice a change in my money. All my revenue has come from battling trainers.

The game is really grindy, with no speed up button. Why? This just makes it boring.
Why are cave battle scenes black?
Gym battles are repetitious and boring
You have to buy buildings, yet earn very little in battles.
There's no way to keep track of how many reputation points you have to gain another level

I really can't bring myself to play this game any further. I hope some major improvements happen in the future.

Toxic orb gives this error and completly bugs everything about the EOR to the point where your pokemon doesn't get poisoned and the enemy trainer doesn't send out another pokemon unless you switch pokemon.

Don't know if this is the best place to post this but anyhow, here it is :) hope it helps

Hi i would like to report a problem, i went on a vacation for 1day to one of the cities and when i came back it spawned me next to bed with the game being frozen, softlocked, no access to menu, i closed the game and tried again but was softlocked again, i wish for this issue to be resolved soon :( (thank you in advance)
Its a known bug. If you aren't using latest version try 4.2.3 if it isn't working,Only way to bypass it is to download v4.2.0 and return from the vacation.

Hello, everyone. So sorry for the silence. Life has been a bit rough as of late, but I'm back in my old rhythm and Demo 2 for Pokemon This Gym of Mine Rank Up Edition is nearing completion! I hope to have the demo out before the end of the summer season, so please keep an eye on the forum/Discord/Reddit for more information.

In the meantime, since it has been a while since I have talked about it, let me go over the major editions to the second demo!

In demo 1, you were able to aid the local Police Station in one of the new side stories in Rank Up Edition. Demo 2 will let you experience the remaining 3!
Starting off, you can volunteer at the Pokemon Daycare! The energetic little Pokemon would love to play with an experienced Trainer! Play-fight with the little guys and keep them happy in a fairly laid-back workspace, far less hectic than a Gym.

Another side story takes place at the new collectible store in Umbal City, Comics 'n Cards! Occasionally, Triple Triad tournaments are held. No doubt, the locals would love to see the Gym Leader join in on their favorite hobby!

And finally, as I mentioned before, The Even Badderlands will be greatly expanded upon! A researcher by the name of Reginald wishes to explore the odd place. However, it has become very obvious that a professional Trainer is necessary for the mission's success. Will you come to their aid?

Also, for those of you looking to crank up the difficulty, a new mode called Gauntlet mode will be implemented! While Gauntlet mode is active, you do not heal in between challengers! In addition, one loss ends the day for you! In return, your Notoriety increases and decreases at twice the pace, with all of the bonuses that gives you! For Gym Leaders itching for a rougher challenge, look no further!

In addition, many changes to moves, abilities, and other similar aspects are being implemented to improve game balance and overall enjoyment! If you are eager to see all of the differences between Rank Up and the original, here is a link to a Google Doc containing every difference between the two, including planned differences! So, consider this a preview of what's to come, as well.

Thank you all for your patience for me. Man, it feels good to see the old forum preserved in some fashion. When I release the next demo, I hope to go through and clean up the opening page, which seems to have had a few images broken in the move. I am truly lucky to have such a large fanbase for this game. Some days, it still feels like a dream. I say it a lot, but thank you all for giving this game a shot. It means a lot. As such, I want to make Rank Up Edition a game worthy of that praise. When this game releases, I hope it meets all of your expectations and then some! I hope you all have a nice day!

Hello again, everyone! I am here with big news! Pokemon This Gym of Mine: Rank Up Edition v0.2.0 will be available to play shortly after this post is live. This demo will play up to Rank 2 and will showcase even more of what Rank Up Edition has up its sleeve.

As mentioned before, new side stories will be made available: Comics 'n Cards and The Daycare will all have stories that run alongside the main story and can be handled at your leisure. They are not necessary to progress the main story, so engage with them as you please!

In addition, a new mode has been added to the game: Gauntlet Mode! This is a bit more difficult challenge for players who feel the main Gym battles are not challenging enough. This mode does not heal you in between challengers. Not only that, ONE loss ends the day automatically. In return, your Notoriety increases and decreases at twice the normal rate, which means more money and a faster growing Reputation. For players who have already started the game, just interact with the sign in front of your Gym to toggle the setting.

Speaking of Gyms, your Gym Trainers now appear in the Break Room and can give you items on an occasion (and the odds of it triggering aren't non-existent this time!). Have a chat with your Gym Trainers and see what they have to say!

New items, moves, and tweaks to existing Pokemon will help bring certain Pokemon into the spotlight. For example, Umbal Cherrim has been completely overhauled! Experiment a little if you need to spice up your team!

Finally, the main attraction of this update is the Even Badderlands! This story will run alongside the main story, unlocking as you progress through the game. Out of all the side stories, this will be the largest of the three, with major bonuses for engaging with it. This includes Pokemon with hidden abilities and even moves they can't normally learn! If you are familiar with my other project, Pokemon Snow Warning, then you will know of the Tyrant Pokemon in that game. They roam around the overworld and are a difficult challenge for unprepared Trainers. The Even Badderlands feature a similar mechanic. Pokemon in the overworld are especially strong, with powerful moves and abilities! Ever wanted to see a Trapinch use Mach Punch? Check the Even Badderlands. In addition, certain Pokemon are unique to the Badderlands or appear earlier than in the original game! In addition, this side story will introduce new characters and flesh out others! For players looking for a fresh experience with This Gym of Mine, please check around the Even Badderlands!

While I am here, I do have a question for all of you. So far, I have been releasing new demos as I have finished each rank. I have seen many people say they would rather wait until the full game releases to play. As such, I wanted to ask if I should continue releasing demos as ranks are finished, or if I should release the game in two batches, one with everything from the original TGOM with a bit extra, and the planned post-game expansion. I want to see what you all have to say before I settle one way or the other.

I hope you all enjoy Rank Up Edition v0.2.0! I hope you all have a nice day!

I just wanted to say a big congratulations for all the amazing work you're doing! I'm so excited to see all the new stories and mechanics in these demos!

I just wanted to say that I think it's a great idea to share new demos as you're developing them. I think it's a really good way of catching any little errors as you go along, and making little tweaks here and there, which is always appreciated. This also gives your players a chance to suggest new features they'd love to see in the game as it's being developed. I really think you should keep delivering demos as you were doing.

On the other hand, and perhaps from my own personal perspective, I would love to see the development focus first on advancing the ranks and the story, rather than on other features that are not so important, such as card battles. At the end of the day, I just want to enjoy the story and the battles. I'd wait to add all these new features until I've adapted the old story and ranks to the new version.

I hope you find my opinion helpful! Congrats on this amazing work, and I can't wait for new updates!

Hello, everyone! A bugfix for Pokemon This Gym of Mine will be going live in a second here to deal with a few glitches found, including the game locking away the female protagonist. For players that have already started, just talk to the woman in front of the gym. Also, the game unlocks the fourth Pokemon slot upon reaching Rank 2. Anyhow, I hope you all are enjoying the demo, and that you all have a nice day!

Hello again, everyone!

Now that it has been a while and I have received a decent bit of input, I wanted to update everyone on the planned release schedule going forward!

For the most part, it seems fairly close, with a decent bit of a leaning towards two big releases. Since a slight majority seems to prefer larger releases, here is what I'm gonna do:

First, I will be releasing one final demo, v0.3.0, allowing players to play up to Rank 5. This will introduce players to the few remaining mechanics, namely Vacations and the Commercial District. After that, I will be pushing through until I get Rank Up to where the original game was, including the new story additions for Rank Up. That will be v1.0.0. Once that is done, I will work on the post-game story additions as a separate update, v2.0.0. Then, Pokemon This Gym of Mine will be complete, barring any bugfixes.

That is the plan going forward. If there are any changes, I will let you all know. Once I finish v0.3.0, I plan on doing monthly progress reports to keep you all updated, and to keep myself on track. Until then, I hope you all enjoy v0.2.0!

I hope you all have a nice day!

The original was one of my favorite fangames I've ever played, so seeing the Rank Up Edition has gotten me super excited! I want to try it out, but hate progress loss. If I were to play the current Rank Up release, would I be able to pick up that save when new updates come out, or would it require a clean save?

Thanks for all your work, you're a rockstar friendo!

Yes, all version use the same "title", meaning that they all share the same save data. You'll be able to pick up right where you left off.

Hello, I'm currently playing the OG version and I'm wondering if there is any way to see my pokemon's EVs and IVs?
