Released Pokemon This Gym of Mine

Love the concept but feels like the creator ran out of motivation halfway through.
I'd love to see more Pokemon in the game, especially more Bug types, the available selection feels very limiting.

But more importantly, I encountered some issues:

Hail & Sandstorm don't deal damage
Modest Mint doesn't have the option "Use"
Some Berries will be consumed if the condition is met with an attack that kills the pokemon holding the berry
The Map does not work

Some convenience issues:

I can't seem to find a Fireblast/Hydropump/Blizzard/Thunder TM
Same with Flamethrower/Icebeam/Thunderbolt/(Surf)
I love the Blissey trainer but I wish there was an EV trainer too.
Make the gym opponents scale with your level like the wild pokemon and make the opponents in the gym more interesting.

I hope to see more updates to this game, I really enjoy the concept

Can someone point me to a safe place to download the rom hack version of this game? Those are the only types of games I can play, because I use a VBa lua script that makes games accessible for visually impaired folks. Thanks. Hope one eventually exists for whichever new version is made too haha.

Unfortunately, the ROM hack version doesn't seem to actually exist, despite Omegas' message. I'm pretty sure he was just mistaken by game theft sites claiming to have a ROM because they don't bother distinguishing between fangames and ROM hacks. Making a ROM hack is a pretty involved process, and it'd be very strange of someone to go to all the work of recreating a game as a ROM hack without ever reaching out to the creator or sharing it on the site it was originally distributed on.

I know there's been some work towards screen readers for Essentials fangames, but I don't think there's been anything completed yet, sadly.

Is there any way to get control changes to stick ? I've tried changing the controls in the F1 menu multiple times, but nothing. Also can't change from the arrows to WASD, not sure if that's intentional or not. And is there a speed up button in the game?

Anybody else get this error message when they have a pokemon with a toxic orb? It doesn't crash the game or anything, but the pokemon wont be poisoned. Maybe there's an update I haven't gotten yet? Thank you

this game is kind of weird the start is alright but when you battle the evil team leader the focus blasts don't even charge up and always hit am i wrong or does focus blast need to charge up normally

It appears that most people are on board with completely revitalizing the game. So, I will go forward with this plan. It might take a bit, but I know it will be worthwhile. As I have mentioned before, this version will have everything I promised for v5.0.0, and it will be the game that gets the final update, v6.0.0. The variant running on Pokemon Essentials v18.1, as promised, will be left up as a legacy version and will receive no further updates, unless an easily-triggered, game-breaking bug is discovered.

Some of you may have noticed, but this version of Pokemon This Gym of Mine has been updated to v4.2.3. This version will be the ultimate edition of the legacy version. It includes a few changes.

Certain sprites have been altered:
Smeltix, Cherrim, and the Chinchou line has been updated.
If there are still issues with Chinchou or Lanturn's sprites, please let me know via DM.

Smeltix:
Stats have been very slightly altered.

Umbal Cherrim:
Stats of Sunshine Form have been altered.

Umbal Aggron:
Stats have been slightly altered.
Shift Gears has been replaced with Dragon Dance.
Thunderbolt has been replaced with a new move, Wire Whip.

New Move: Wire Whip
A physical Electric type move that doubles the power of the next Electric type move.
Yes, it does effect itself.

The game's accuracy when evaluating teams has been improved and should now function normally.

After this update, I will be focusing entirely on the revamped iteration of Pokemon This Gym of Mine. If there are any glitches, balance issues, or suggestions you may have, please let me know on the forum or through DM!

Is there any way you could make this game playable for Mac users? I’ve tried everything. Wine doesn’t work and wine skin is too complicated.

Running into a couple bugs, wondering if someone could help:
1) The game runs with sound effects, but no music. Makes battles and walking through town honestly pretty eery lol - any idea why SE's would load but not Music?
2) Almost every battle has a ~30 second freeze after it's over, then the game snaps back to normal. Doesn't seem to freeze in any other circumstance though - anything I can do about this (other than reinstall everything)?

How did you get wineskin winery to work? I have pretty much a 5 year old’s knowledge of computers so is it simple enough for my dumb ass? Haha
