Introduction:
Pokemon Gemstone is a fan game created by myself using Pokemon Essentials & RPG Maker XP.
I decided to create Gemstone as a quick mini project just to see how fast I could make a game.
As I have already created a fan game, Pokemon Nova, I decided to use the sprites/characters just to save time.

Playthrough

​

Plot:
Journey through the Gemstone region as a new trainer straight out of trainer school.
You must travel through the Gemstone region to collect the 8 gym badges and become the league champion.
Instead of having a story line the main point of Gemstone is to actually prove a challenge in terms of Gyms, Rivals & Elite 4 battles.


Features:
- 2 Rivals
- 8 Gym Leaders and Elite 4
- New set of Gym Leaders
- New evolution methods for trade Pokemon
- Follow Pokemon Feature (DISABLED)
- Selection of existing Pokemon from all generations including generation 7
- Fairy type included.
- Mega Evolution
- No Evil Team
- Brand new moves
- New movepools and level up moves for Pokemon
- Stat upgrades for some older Pokemon have been made
- Updated TM List

It's not in the game however If you do want to see the avaliable Pokedex the download should come with a list and there is a list posted under the download link

Hello m8, first of all let me thank you for creating this awesome game, my question concerns the keys we need to use to chat/control the character, is there any way we can set them on our own?

Unfortunately I have no idea about changing the controls so I've left it all as the default settings which all " RPG maker Fan games start with".
There maybe a way to change it but I'm not sure how

There's a public script resource that allows the player to set the controls to whatever they want from the pause menu.

Seems like a glitch with the basic coding from the Pokemon essentials package. I'll take a look but I can't garentee I can fix this unless I just drop the move completely

I'm currently working on other projects at the moment and with Gemstone being a finished project (with one or two text errors to fix), I've put it on the back burner for now. I'll be honest, it is down to if I get the following Pokemon working in a later projects. I will then probably just transfer the code into Gemstone.

Just finished this myself and for what it is I liked it, despite no evil teams or important plot, I had fun simple casual fun.

Toxic spikes (specifically two layers) doesn't work correctly. When a target is badly poisoned from toxic spikes, the damage doesn't actually ramp up, making it so that it's actually better to have one layer of toxic spikes than two. I'm not sure if being badly poisoned in general doesn't work correctly in general because I don't have a mon with toxic to test that.

Thanks for letting me know, this is probably due to an error in the original coding files.

The Pokedex in the game itself shows where pokemon are located in the game.
I don't unfortunately have a TM list at hand. I lost it when i had to get a new laptop.

Does the game have the two evolution of eevee (Espeon and Umbreon), because I am trying to evolve eevee into espeon from lvl 10 and now is 43(I also use soothe bell).I just want to know if all of that work was worthy.

Sun and moon stones you get a choice in the house where you obtain eevee

Pokemon Gemstone has been updated slightly.

Nothing new in the game just a few minor fixes here and there.
A few of the trainers have also rebalanced and the Lucky egg has now been added into the game.

If you find any other problems please let me know.

Honestly no, Gemstone is complete for the most part.
It will only get an update if i've found something which will fix some of the bugs.
I've got a few other games in the making though which are set to have a variety of Pokemon eventually.
