Overview

Super Pokémon Eevee Edition is a Pokémon fangame that tries to recapture the classic nostalgia of the second generation, but
infuse it with new mechanics not found in traditional Pokémon games.
Welcome back to the second generation, the second generation... but not as you remember it.
Play as Gold, the young hero - who finds a special Eevee which can switch evolutions.
Explore a whole new region half inspired by Johto, housing the best pokemon of the early generations, and
venture into the inner workings of the game, where code and data rule, and where the hypervisors exist.
Experience a new kind of Pokémon game with an active-time-battle system,
where pokemon do not wait turns - they will attack"real time".
Other features include unlimited Move-Slots, meaning you never have to forget an attack and deep equipment/crafting system.
It is pretty much a hybrid of Pokemon and Final Fantasy.

Features

  • Retro Graphics - A blast from the past. Gold/Silver/Crystal style graphics.
  • Super Eevee - A very special Eevee with superpowers.
  • Active Battle System - A la Final Fantasy (well, most of them before X).
  • Four Pokémon per team - All four Pokémon are out on the battlefield and fighting.
  • Corrupted Pokemon - Optional boss fights or side-quests are required to obtain Pokémon.
  • Infinite Move-list - Pokémon are no longer limited to four attacks at a time.
  • Sidequests - Get TMs, equipment, and other useful items by doing tasks for people.
  • 201 Pokémon catchable - from the first few generations (Not all are obtainable yet)
  • Refining System - Change useless items into powerful ones!
  • Equipment - Equip certain items on Pokémon in order to to modify their stats.
  • Trophies - Get notifications for completing tasks.
  • Travel to the Code World - A dimension of graphical errors and home to the Hypervisors.

This game project holds a special place in my heart. I played a demo ages ago and it's wild to see this still around. As a fangame this stuck out and still sticks out with its blend of meta commentary and odd aesthetic style. It was also the first time I heard the Advent Children arrangement of JENOVA and I still associate that song with this rather than the piece of media it came from. The fangaming landscape has changed a lot since this project began, and I can only imagine how much you as an author have also changed since then. I'll be looking forward to playing the final version and seeing the conclusion to this decades-long development journey.

Thank you audino, feels to heartwarming to hear messages like this. My gaming leaving this sort of effect on people really makes it all worth it.

It's crazy seeing this game come to completion. Massive congratulations raonak, this has always been one of the most innovative and interesting fangames, I'm really looking forward to plaything this story to its end.
Same. Already started playing through it, so excited to catch back up to where I left off v0.8 four years ago or so and see what's beyond it. :)

How am I supposed to make it to Eevee if my first step in the grass a battle occurs and it's just me with no attacks? I've reset the game multiple times and same thing

Oh yeah, that's another side-effect of the wonky emulation. If you stand still the encounter bar will go down, so if you have to play on Android just do that. Once you actually get a Pokémon it won't be an issue.

Thanks for the help Cuprite, I left my game idle for like 10 minutes stepped into the grass and immediately had an encounter I'll just play something else lol

That's... weird. That part worked fine with me whenever I tried it (And it should only take a few seconds for the bar to go down). Hm...

you're supposed to click the run button to leave the battle and keep going forward. You have massive HP and defense so there is no risk of actually losing. Just run and make your way to the lab

Mild spoilers, but I found a bug that feels kinda significant (At least, I assume this isn't intentional. Lol).
SPEE-OoB.png

Long story short, there's no wall here (Mt. Atlas Summit) so you can just go right out-of-bounds and see how everything works (Which is pretty cool, ngl). There's a Pokemon in the void and, in my case, it prompts another fight against a corrupted Geodude but you get a Machop afterward. I'm assuming that's related to the "Gold/Silver version" thing, idk. Also, saving and quitting here resets the icy tileset back to the original Mt. Atlas tileset.
(Idk if I should keep the Machop or not. Lol)

For some reason, EasyRPG doesn't show the Escape command in that segment. It's really weird.
(also dont look at the screenshots lol)

Are Lugia and Ho-Oh in the game? If so, where do I find them?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I found them.

I'd use the run button If it was there but it's not I've deleted and redownloaded the game but it wasn't there

It is in the Berry Patch, just as it says on the wiki. Maybe it matters if its day or night at the time, I don't remember for sure. I've beaten all of the corrupted pokemon, and caught them, I even have all of the summons, so I can at least mention what map a pokemon is on, but not the exact location on the map.

I just had to register an account to show my appreciation; it's exciting seeing SPEE completed at last! I think it was at least a decade ago that I did a long screensharing session of the game on Skype for some friends. The gameplay was well-liked, and the mixture of Gen II graphics and FFVIII music gave it a uniquely eerie vibe. For at least one other person present at the time, that day remains a fond memory.

I've played SPEE a few times throughout the years since, checking in whenever the game came to mind. I can't wait to get into it again with the final update. Thank you very much for all your hard work and perseverance, raonak!
