You wake up in the middle of a forest with no recollection of who you are.
With the help of a local professor and his assistant,

FAQ:

Q: Where do I go after __? Where do I find ? How do I evolve _? etc.
A: Play the game. If you explore enough and interact with things enough, you will naturally find the answers to your questions. We are not here to hold your hand, because you should not need your hand held. So try to refrain from asking questions like that unless you have exhausted all your other options.

I designed this game to reward your curiosity and promote discovery. Just play the game.


Q:What emulator do I use? Can this be played on Mac?
A: None, this can only be played on a Windows operating system. After extracting the download, open the game folder, then open the Game.exe (little galaxy pokeball icon). It runs by itself.

Q: Are there Mega Evolutions? Nuzlocke mode? Following Pokemon?
A: No.

Q: What are the shiny odds?
A: ~1/3000, and nothing is shiny locked.

Q: What about ability capsules or nature mints?
A: Also no. But there is a nature changer in Hazeport. There's also an ability changer in the post-game.

Q: How rare are Hidden Abilities?
A: There is a 1/200 chance of a wild encounter having it, but roaming overworld encounters are far more likely to have them. The chance increases as you collect badges, as well.

Q: How do I update my game?
A: Your save is located in a different location, so you can just delete the old versions folder, then download and extract the new one.

Q:Where is my save file?
A: C:\Users[User Name]\Saved Games\Pokémon Infinity
Q: How long/ how many badges are there?
A: 5 badges and a four person tournament. Then, if you make the right decision, there is post-game content. Average play time has been ~20 hours, ~30-40 with post-game.

Q: Where is Astral Stone and Miracle Seed?
A: Searidge Town, after you get Cut

Q: How do I make the game full screen?
A: You can't. There are 3 window size options in the game that you can access from the options menu, full screen is unfortunately not one of them.

Q: When do you get the Exp. Share?
A: You get the Exp. Router shortly after the first badge.

Q: What Pokemon are all in this game?

Q: Can I use __ for my own project?
A: Consider everything private, but if you want to use something, I'm open to discuss it. I can be pretty open with tiles and other resources, but some stuff I want to keep private for Infinity. So just contact me if there's something you want to use, I may be more generous than you'd expect.

Q: Is there a speed-up button?
A: Yes, use Ctrl to cycle through 3 speed options (normal/fast/faster) Use with caution, speed up functions may cause unexpected gameplay issues.


Q: Are the key layouts customizable?
A: No, but I would just use an app called JoyToKey, it allows you to set up custom configurations for any apps/controllers. https://joytokey.net/en/

Q: Is there a wiki?
A: It is very new and in development, any help with filling it out would be appreciated.

Q: Can I play this on my phone?
A: There is an app called JoiPlay that is able to play on Android phones with minimal issues.

Wait, what? I did the elder battle in Echorock. Are there two now?
Found the second battle and it turned out I didn't even need Cut to get to Amberfield from Echorock although of course it will be needed later.

Thanx again to the two folks who cleared that up for me, I maintain that the game should clarify that. Thorn instructs the player to go to Amberfield to deliver his rejection letter to the Safari Zone, but there is no mention of the second elder battle which misleads one into believing that it takes place in or after Amberfield and I believe it did in another town in the demo.

Technically, I suppose you could complete the Safari Zone event first and then go back for the second elder battle but that with the blocked paths still makes it a bit confusing.

Unless there was something I missed again. I have mild autism so sometimes I require straightforwardness because subtleties can be lost on me.

That's my only critique so far, that and the consumable mining kits. The logic there is just weird, how does a mining kit get consumed? The tools must be shit. I don't mind spending the money though we get plenty by the point they're accessible and thanx to mining I have my Gorochu back!

How did you get to Amberfield without Cut?

Thorn instructs the player to go to Amberfield to deliver his rejection letter to the Safari Zone, but there is no mention of the second elder battle which misleads one into believing that it takes place in or after Amberfield and I believe it did in another town in the demo.

On the natural path you're supposed to take to Amberfield Town, you are blocked by trees, forcing you to go to Echorock again. It is assumed that players would explore the now accessible buildings and realize they need to take on the next Egho Elder (they are told earlier in the game that they are in Echorock)
I already had Thorn give you a lot of dialogue, I figured I'd let the player figure out they have to get their next badge once they hit the dead end.
Also, I wouldn't use the demo as a reference point for the final. Many things were changed from then to now.

To the rest of you asking questions on this thread, you are far more likely to get an answer on the Infinity Discord, the thread is not the most efficient communication platform.

How do you get Gorochu? I tried using a firestone on my raichu and it said it was not able to use it.

Has anyone else encountered a crash when interacting with the pikachu standing on a stump in genesis forest? The game doesn't throw an error or anything, just stops responding.

How did you get to Amberfield without Cut?
I went south from Echorock after defeating the second elder. I meant to just explore, I had expected to hit a Rock Smash dead end or just a dead end which would force me to turn around and head back to Genesis Forest but I ended up on Rolling Trail which goes to Amberfield.
I double-checked, perhaps I did Cut once though I could swear that I had made it to Amberfield without even teaching Cut (I was gonna do it when I actually got to a Cut obsticle).

I have another question, I'm afraid I am stuck again. Where is the thief in Hazeport City? I swear I have been around the whole giant city with the exception of blocked-off areas and can't find any thief.

So yeah i just finished the game and here someof my thoughts
It was very hard to navigate with limited open space. Some area (for me atleast), i dont know where to go and at some point, i dont know what to do for example finding Markus at Hazeport underground or to go back to echorock to get the second badge. but it was still very fun (and slightly annoying) to traverse though.
And the second thing i want to talk about is the ending, it was, well i got very intrested at the climax after finding out that Thorn and Yu was me and then the ending boyyyyy did it hit me like a truck, i didnt know how to feel to find out that not only that everything was a dream but to also learn that i was a real boy the whole time like in the real world, with non pokemono graphics,... Personaly i dont like those kind of ending cause well i want to play a normal game y´know but i 100% support your decision.
So this is a fantastic game, great fakemon. I hope that every project you have in the future will continute to be the same lv or even higher in quality
Since you have completed the game. What I have to do in that Palkia Mountain. I can't solve the Puzzle.

Well you have to solve the puzzle, afterr u solved it, a door open which you must go down. Unfortunetaly i dont have any picture. If you can tho try to go to their discord theres prob a picture
