Made Using: Pokemon Essentials
Team: Vendily!
Notes: So, this game is about 20 minutes long, at least from my playtesting (each playthrough start to credits came to about that time). The fluctuation comes from your party layout so to speak, as you need to have a Dream Partner of a particular type to get to a Dream Area. Dual types have a chance to go to either of their types. Rock, Ground, and Steel types can go to either the ice themed area or the rock themed area. And Dragon types have a chance to go to any of the areas. (Doesn't make it much faster if you need to go to a particular area instead of any old one.)

I made:
- Most every overworld from half scratch, using the icon as a base for the pokemon.
Except the ones that already had an overworld in Pokemon Crystal.
Skarmory, Abomasnow, Torterra, and Slowking are scratch though
- The Dreamcaller graphics
- The Type icons
- The cut tree animation (not the tree itself)

I edited:
- The minigame title drops. Don't really want to count that as a made.

I formated:
- Literally every single pokemon sprite, it's not even funny.
- Lapras, Onix, Snorlax, Clefairy, Bird, Boulder, Dragon, Monster, Headbutt tree, Rock Smash rock and Cut tree
- The icon sprites
- The bitmap font (also Pokecrystal)
- The other tilesets not mentioned above. It's all PokeCrystal.
- The emote bubbles (also Pokecrystal)

Have I mentioned I used PokeCrystal a lot?

Hey, when I tried to open dream caller I got error telling :no such file Or directory in graphics /pictures/ Ariel.png

Hmm, I thought I removed all references to the normal font method. Not sure why it only crashes on the dream caller for you, given when I had a similar error, it'd crash the instant it tried to load a font at all (so load screen typically).

Perhaps you are missing the font files in the pictures folder somehow? It really should have crashed earlier though...
I don't really have any fix, perhaps redownload it?

The title says all about the game: Escape from Dream World, done by feeding a Snorlax blocking your path. Through simple but creative little minigames you receive food that you must feed Snorlax, you explore different types of environments with different puzzles and obstacles. The theme's inclusion is self-explanatory, and it made for another very interesting game to play.

Despite never having played the GSC games, this game feels like it captures their music style, art style and overall nostalgic-retro feeling beautifully. You can count on Vendily to create a unique, creative and consistent game in such a small timeframe.

The new battle system was simple but actually Safari Zone-like challenging. If you evade too much, the opponent will run away, or also constantly evade. If you attack though, you may faint yourself. It was well-balanced, and I loved everything about it.

The GSC-style menus were executed well, and suited the aesthetic well - even the brand new Dream Caller UI.

I encountered few issues, but one of them was the (seeming) lack of Flying types. In each area I was, I encountered every single Pokémon so that I could use it to go to the next area. But in the Spooky Manor, I did not initially encounter Flying types and assumed there weren't any, leading me to backtrack to every single area once again to encounter everything. But as it turned out, there was in fact a Natu in the Spooky Manor that was not there the first time. It's a minor annoyance at most, but I thought I'd point it out.

Oh, this game looks interesting. Gonna try it out right now! I guess I will edit this after I am done with the game.

Edit: Alright, I just got done with the game. And this game is freaking awesome! I loved the music for every location! But for some minigames, the text wasn't appearing completely. It was just half of what should have been there. I don't know if it was just me or for everyone. But definitely 10/10.

Oh! That's news to me.
Which minigame text wasn't appearing?

The Skarmory minigame, Lapras minigame, Slowking minigame, Abomasnow minigame and the Snorlax image that appears at the end weren't appearing. Also by the text I meant the images that appeared. Only half of the images were appearing. The rest of the text was fine. Sorry if you got confused. But I think it was just for me.

Here's another bugfixing update! Turns out the Onix Minigame has an errant failsafe, to prevent you from restarting the minigame if you leave and reenter the cave itself. But the failsafe only turns itself on, and not off, creating this big old bug!
I also fixed a related issue with the Onix minigame timer not disappearing until the map is refreshed when using the retire option, as well as doubling down on dismantling the failsafe when retiring on the entrance map.

As per usual, the original download has been replaced. If you got hit with this bug, your saves are safe since this is an eventing issue really. Just refresh the map by leaving and re-entering and the cave should once again block you with the "I haven't started my timer" message!

It's a panorama!
I made a dummy map, screenshotted it, and shrunk it down before putting a slight tint to it in paint.net.
The dummy map of course, is no longer in the project, but the panorama graphic is.
