THE STORY
A week after the events of Pokémon Abstract, Lev Cherry and Irina Golubeva continue to make
time out of their busy schedules to meet up and hang out. However, it has become harder
due to them both being busy with their duties with the Infinity Corps and the Elite Four, respectively.
However, due to their conflicting flaws and personalities at this time, no matter how much they want
to hang out and get along, it never seems to work out.
With the region still being at odds with each other, will they be able to work out their problems
before anything drastic gets in their way? How can you truly come to like anybody
who seems so drastically different from yourself? Is a happy ending between them a possibility
or just an abstraction?
WHY I MADE THIS PROJECT
5 YEARS AGO on this day, July 30, I released my first Fan Game on this website:
Pokémon Trapped. For my 5th Anniversary of releasing fan games, I wanted to make
and release something special.
For context on why I chose to make this for the anniversary, throughout the 5
years of making fan games I gave myself one rule: NO ROMANCE. Due to me
being an inexperienced writer and romantic, I didn't see how I could write romance in any
way that didn't come off cringey. So, I decided that for the 5th Anniversary, I
would allow myself to attempt to write romance.
Now, that's not the only thing. 2 years ago, one of my fan games I released, Pokémon Abstract,
did well. To this day, it has amassed a total of 121,899 views! That project still holds a place
in my heart, including the characters in that project. If you haven't played it, I would
suggest you check it out! However, when I finished the project, I always had this one story in
mind for the characters in it. Though I never trusted myself to write it, since if I did a bad job,
it could theoretically tarnish the characters that I hold so close to my heart. Not only that, but
because of what the story is, I didn't have a format to write it for since it didn't fit neatly into
a "gameplay" game.
That's when, as this Anniversary came up, I decided to write this game as a mini movie,
only through cutscenes in RPG Maker XP and Pokémon Essentials. It took me about a
month to make it, and I hope that you take the time to look into this and give it a shot!
