Welcome to the Velos Region!
Velos supports a wide variety of cultures, landscapes and unique views.
...Although, because of its diversity, this region is divided into four provinces, each with their own differences and conflicts.

It's time for you to go out into the unknown!
Traverse new areas, take on the Velos Gym Challenge, find new Pokémon, and meet people with new perspectives at your OWN leisure!

Pokémon: Abstract Version features a fully open world region with:
-11 Settlements
-28 Wild Areas
-4 Provinces (Tranquill, Strife, Carnage, and Vigor)
-Gyms/Story Events that can be done in any order
-18 New Pokémon
-8 New Megas
-New tiles
-Fully Custom UI
-Level scaling
-Difficulty modes
-HM Items that open up new areas
-A full story

(By the way, let me know what order you did the gyms and events in the thread! I think it’s cool to see where everyone went)

Known Issues:
Most issues have been fixed, but the game can crash from saving (I don't know how it happens), but your game does save!

Theme Usage:
(MAJOR PLOT SPOILERS) There are two main ways that Abstract utilizes the "Dimensions" theme.

The first is obvious; we have an area in the game called the Chaos Dimension, where your flaws are accentuated.
Secondly, the entirely of the game is focused on learning about different points of view and cultures. You get to explore the dimensions of how different people live, how different provinces fight, and how us humans aren't meant to be perfect. This is the main and most important use of the theme.

Hi, I have beaten 6 gyms already (rock, psychic, grass, dragon, electric and poison. In this order) But I couldn't find equipment for rock climbing and surfing board. Where can I find them?

The Surfboard can be found for saving Asher in Zepomo City and the Climbing Gear can be found in Latol Town after getting Surf. Hope that helps!

Did Budew evolution requirements change? I have a budew that won’t evolve even though I gave her the soothe bell. Am I missing something? Please and thank you everyone!

Budew should evolve normally. I know that friendship evolutions might be a bit harsh though, so just try to keep your Budew alive for a little longer. If it still doesn’t work, I can give you a file to make Budew evolve from level or something like that. Just lmk!

Thank you for replying to my message. I would like to take you up on your offer please. My budew is level 50 (sad I know 😢) and she needs to evolve in order to increase her damage output.
Please and thank you!!

Im so glad that I have been watching HeroVolsey videos on your fan games!

I'm not sure what's wrong game told me I should proceed with finishing defeating the infinite corps after having done all gyms & the beacons but this npc is still preventing me from moving on. also had a few odd bugs where npc interacting occurred despite no visible sprites after I had finished the gym challenge, both outside a gym and the dinner dash restaurant.
I'm including my save file in hopes someone can help me. thanks.

seems like the grass starter gets the short end of the stick in the early game xD
one route has ice pokemon (with cryogonal being almost impossible to flee from, expecially after he uses bind to prent you from fleeing) and the other has bugs (again can't flee from the giraffe looking bug most of the time)
And first rival has flamigo which still kills him fast xD

My team for now is starter, zorua, the psychic babylooking one and the giraffe bug (apart from zorua that i rarely use, i tend to use only new pokemon) so i will either have to catch something new just for the flamigo or train a lot more xD

If you've done all the events you should've gotten a phone call from Prof. Cherry to meet her at the lab. Did you receive this phone call?

Ah so that was what I was missing, ran around in school and forgot second floor did let me into the lab room all other floors saying school is over so I thought it was no point being there and must've gotten it wrong. Thanks.

Hello! I'd like to plan a fakemon-only team for Pokemon Abstract, would it be alright to ask for a list of Fakemon and where to get 'em? Thanks!

Yeah no problem! Let me just list them off:

All three starters - Agenomi Remains
Yusagi - Blinwarf Hills, most of the vigor province too
Weeviveew/Veewiweev - Raccolo Plains, most forestry areas too
Coffpin - Transem Caverns, Oregalite Cave
Fumigas/Palaside - Tribellar Swamp/Tribellar Woods
Dualarva/Crystalis/Domomoth/Hikikimora - Carnage Pathway

What are the final types of the starters?

Hey there! I finished the game a few weeks ago and am finally writing a review! 😆

First of all, big congrats on completing such a polished 8-gym jam game! This game had so much content it's really impressive.
  • The open-world aspect was definitely the thing I was most excited about, and I wasn't disappointed at all! The progression felt very natural and the use of level scaling was perfect. I liked how the story progressed outside each gym.
  • The gym puzzles were all fun and unique. My favourite one was the electric gym type. However, I wasn't a fan of the rock-type gym either. I couldn't see anything so I had no idea how many steps to go in each direction, especially the ledge part near the top.
  • The new forms and fakemon were really cool! Weeviveew is definitely my top favourite.
  • I thought the big ice puzzle was designed really well. It made me use my brain, but it also didn't make me feel too frustrated haha.
  • Great mapping! Did NandTheSword do most of the outdoor maps? They were very complex, just like the ones in Concealed!
  • I got pretty stumped at the library puzzles and had to watch HeroVoltsy's playthrough to get the answers lol
  • Very impressed with the amount of flavour text!
  • Cool ending! I enjoyed venturing through the chaos dimension, and the main legendary looked awesome.
Overall, it was a very solid game, probably the best out of the 8-gym jam games. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the region and challenging the gyms freely.
Awesome work! 👍👍

My progression -
Electric, Dragon, Grass, Rock, Psychic, Poison, Calla, Asher, Steel, William, Fighting and lastly, Lavender.

Great game A+ would recommend. Though I am curious, is there a full list somewhere of all catchable Pokemon and their locations? I'd like to do a second runthrough with a few specifics but the in-game dex didn't tell me anything, thanks!

Final team, Hatterene required most babysitting due to her low speed but they all ended up pulling their weight in the lategame.
