Project Vanguard is a Fangame primarily developed by Ayrei, PrismShrimp, and Rexaura

50 years ago, a devastating attack by a group called "The Defiance" took the world by storm. Today, Trainers are required to gain proper licensing in order to use Pokémon.​

You awaken in front of a girl named Destiny, who claims to have found you unconscious in a nearby forest. Other than your own name, all of your memories seem to be lost. With no other options, you accompany Destiny to the Vanguard Academy, a school designed to transform novice Pokémon Trainers, into professionals with the goal of defending the region from threats known as Renegades, Pokémon Trainers who refuse to abide by the new laws set in place.

Hi. I’ve been really enjoying the game so far but I’ve been wondering if there’s some kind of guide I can use to see all of the evolution methods? I really want to use the new eeveelution on my team but I have no clue how to get my eevee to evolve that way

I've been playing since Red/Blue, played most hacks and fangames, and I have to say Vanguard is up there with the very best. There's obviously still a few bugs here and there but it's a fantastic game. One question I do have - am I missing a PokeCentre or healing bush in the top half of Arlen? Is there one near the Abandoned Factory, for instance? Cheers!

Thank you for the kind words. I suppose I should put one up there because of the insanely long walk it is from the swamp to Arlen's pokecenter

Hi I don't know if someone reported this but when I played this game on Joiplay, when I fight the Grunt at the area that you choose your starter, the battle doesn't appear. There is no like error that would show like when the game crash, it just plays the battle theme and nothing happens. I hope this can be fixed. Otherwise I LOVE the designs for the starters and I can't wait to see this game complete

The game has issues exclusive to joiplay that I am not capable of fixing because I'm not a joiplay dev, play on PC if you want the best experience

ok thanks for the info its sad that it can't be played on Android but luckily i also have a gaming pc so i can play it on the pc. so at least i can play it at all. i LOVE the Rock/Fairy Charmander, it looks AMAZING. I can't wait till the game is fully completed to enjoy this game without having to worry if i was about to finish all there is so far. Keep up the AMAZING work. =)

Hi, is there version compatibility? cuz i have 1.1 and downloaded the latest update, but i opened it and it doesn't have the save file from the oldest one. idk if that's just version compatibility problems or something else.

1.2 and earlier are incompatible with later versions but that shouldn't matter since the game has changed drastically since 1.1 (a year and a half ago)
