Nope :P considering 99% of fangames and romhacks follow the same gym system I thought I would switch it up. It also gives me more story writing freedom

I can't play the game neither in Game.exe or Game.exe original. This error pops up. I downloaded the patch by the way

If you're getting an error that has to do with "save file" on your first loadup then please delete the "Pokemon vanguard" folder in either %appdata% or saved games. (From the FAQ page on the games website, please refer to there if you have any other questions)

hi, good game, but can i just say something? what's with the difficulty? basically every route trainer has 5-6 Pokémon which is way too much for a Pokémon game especially really early in the game, and they are evolved like what? even tho i'm playing on easy mode it's till terribly hard cuz it's pretty unfair, it sucks, cuz they are still so high leveled and evolved and every trainer has like 5- 6 Pokémon which makes the game way too hard and not fun. cuz no route trainer in normal Pokémon games has 5-6 Pokémon their team cuz that makes the game way too over difficult

tbh I'm not sure what you mean by this. I've been going through an redoing a bunch of the trainer teams for next update, but the currents ones don't have 5-6 Pokemon. Yes some important trainer fights will have 6 but I'm pretty sure thats exclusive to normal mode (which you should be sticking to casual mode if you're struggling with difficulty) but most of the route trainers have like 2-4 Pokemon and even then they don't even have EV spreads or predefined learnsets.

cuz i was going through route 5 after the first gym badge, and most of the trainers had evolved high level pokemon and like most of them had like 5 team members which is terribly hard at that early in the game. i am playing on easy mode at least i think so Cuz Tbh i haven't played this for a while and decided to play it again recently cuz of the updates so I'm continuing where i left off, i don't understand how it could be so hard. Ps; is there a level cap in this game? my bayleef stopped gaining exp at 33

you are playing an incredibly old version of the game, download the new version from the thread

does swablu evolve differently in this game? cuz like it was electric and dragon type and then it became a normal altaria at level 35

i tried opening the new version of the game but i keep getting a error message

when i started the new version, it somehow deleted my old savefile, which sucks but at least i can play it over again with the new features

It's a completely different experience, your save file wouldn't work with it anyways. I would suggest joining the discord if you have consistent questions about the game since I am much more active there than here

Help! My game froze after first being talked to the Battle Dojo manager. It wouldn’t advance from a white screen, and I could still access GUI.
I have the patch, is it supposed to be in the game folder?
