Pokemon Omegatastrophe
We all know the story of Pokemon: trainer arrives in the region, beats the gyms, stops the baddies, saves the day. That's how it went in Hoenn too.
At least the Hoenn we know...

The Story
The plane was grounded the morning you and your mum were meant to fly to Hoenn, and had to be rescheduled. Unfortunately, that meant you weren't there to face the Magma grunts who attacked the Devon Corporation, couldn't prevent Maxie's Mt Chimney experiment from success, and Team Magma's plans went off without any real challenge.
Unfortunately for both humanity and Team Magma, when Groudon awoke, they were unable to control it, and the Continent Pokemon went on a week-long rampage, devastating Hoenn and the world.
Now, 5 years later, things are starting to recover, and commercial travel has restarted. Norman has been missing since Groudon's rampage, and you finally fly to Hoenn in a search to find your father. With the Pokemon given to you by Professor Birch, you'll explore the transformed Hoenn to find him, and meet lots of colourful characters along the way.
This is not an edgy game, but by the nature of its story it will be darker than the typical Pokemon games. Expect mild language (no f-bombs or anything) and references to death.

It took me a while but I think I understand what's happened here. Because the folder that all the information is in is called "Pokemon Essentials v19 blah blah", it's looking for a save file under that name, and its clashing with an existing save on your computer. It should be solved by changing the name of the folder to "Pokemon Omegatastrope". If for some reason that doesn't work, I've updated the download and it shouldnt have that problem. Sorry about that

Did not help. Renamed the folder, redownloaded, renamed folder in the redownload - in all of those there is the same error on startup.

And why would the error text be about quests in that case?

Look like your game looks for save files in "Pokemon Essentials v19" folder in AppData, which clashes with save files of anyone who tested their game without changing the title and was using Modern Quest System. You should use the "Change Title" functionality in RPG Maker.

I'd recommend changing the project name to avoid stuff like this since it's gonna continue looking for a Pokemon Essentials V19.1 Savefile so if you change the projects name to Pokemon Omegatastrophe it shouldn't clash with base essential savefiles anymore but instead create it's own folder called Pokemon Omegatastrophe.

Hey, I'm really sorry about all this, I believe it should work if you just redownload it. Thankyou for commenting about your problem though, and I hope the game works now.

Ah yeah I see the problem, I've fixed that in the latest one. So sorry about all the runaround, hopefully this has solved the problem

Got an event about "Something terrifying lurking about" and now I can't move from this spot.
To be precise - got an event, then went 1 tile down, got the same dialogue box and now is stuck.

Decided to return from Petalburg Woods to use the pokecenter and got stuck in the spot.
I think the same event is trying to play, but cannot, because the NPC is in a different spot?

Okay the new version we just uploaded should have fixed the problems you've found so far. Thanks for being such a great help.
Maybe it only fixes the problem for when you start from scratch - trigger the switch when you gointo the Petalburg Woods? Because I just redownloaded and loaded my save and got stuck again.

Oh well, I'll just grind from the beginning again.

Also after that Brendan before the Gym just disappeared. I saved over it and don't want to replay the beginning again. x(

Oh no I'm sorry to hear that. Can you walk me through a little more when Brendan disappeared? Did you find Wally in the Woods, or did it just happen after you went in Briney's house?

Is it in the cave or is it after you escape and talk with Wally?

After going to Briney's and to woods, but without finding Wally.
Okay I think I know what the problem is, I'll have a crack at fixing it. In the meantime I think if you just go in and find Wally, you should be able to progress normally.

So what about the impassable ground down of the Briney's house? Is it supposed to be this way?

Beat the bandit boss... And got completely and utterly stuck. The game is not reacting to any buttons.

Yeah I've fixed the ground below Brineys, that's not supposed to be impassable, made a tiling mistake.

And I see what the problem is with that freeze, I had the grunts try to run around you Wally and Ava, and forgot that I put the rocks there. You'll have to reset that save, but the next version I upload should have that fixed.

Houses in Dewford are way to far from each other.

Sprite positioning is off

Anytime I try to go up the ladder in Briney's house on Route 106 after Dewford, I just hear double the sound effect and end up back down, not even seeing my character on the rooftop.
