The events of Pokémon Uprising unfold thirteen years after the events of Pokémon Platinum. Although you and your cousin are both fourteen years old, neither of you is a trainer yet, which is unusual in a region like Sinnoh. To become a trainer, this year, you two go to the annual trainer festival in Amberia City, a city near your home town. During the festival you will be able to obtain your first Pokémon! As you will see yourself, there are new cities and towns, routes, and even a different path around the island. A new, young professor —that you might know very well— will be the one that gives you the starters.

But while you are having fun at the festival, a strange, huge and terrible phenomenon is currently happening in the region of Alola, an unprecedented scaled event that will eventually affect all other regions in the world. Adding to this dystopian atmosphere, the old criminal organisation known as Team Galactic has reassembled. Grunts with new outfits and hairstyles, and mainly new executives and commanders will reassemble this organisation with one goal: Bringing back their former boss: Cyrus.[/JUSTIFY]

Pokémon Uprising is a fangame project (using Pokémon Essentials v19 as the basis) that has been born from the huge desire of having DPPT remakes (or rather having the opportunity to revisit Sinnoh 15 years after we first met Lucas and Dawn). This time, instead of releasing a demo until the fully gameplay is available, this fangame will be yearly released by chapters, so that with each release the available playable content so far is complete. This will also allow our team to keep releasing content throughout the year, in the format of events, side quests, Mystery Gifts, etc. With any further ado, let's dive into it (for more information visit our website, from which you can download the game, as well as our Instagram and Twitter accounts).

The region:​

The region of Sinnoh has grown a bit and there are new towns, cities, routes... even a new path around the island! You will be able to explore brand-new places while visiting familiar locations. And of course, old, well-known characters like Dawn, Lucas, Professor Rowan and many more are still here but have grown older and more mature! However, this doesn't mean you are not going to meet any new characters, precisely.

Rebel:​

Age: 14

Rebel has always been a bit shy, yet she has a really strong personality. She wants to become a great trainer and that's why she signed up for the gym challenge together with her cousin Rogue. Rebel has a great heart as well, and never leaves her friends behind. She is smart and will help her friends no matter in which problems they are in, while also doing anything to prove herself, even if it includes defeating you in battle.​

Rogue:
Age: 14​

Rogue has always been a bit shy, yet he has a really strong personality. He wants to become a great trainer and that's why he signed up for the gym challenge together with his cousin Rebel. Raven:
Age: 14

This rude young lady causes nothing but trouble on your journey. She rarely reveals anything about herself, but she seems to be on an adventure as well, whatever her goals may be. Together with her partner Riolu, Raven usually tries to catch Pokémon and sell them afterwards. She doesn't mind others getting hurt and only cares about Riolu.​

Dawn and Lucas:

Age: 23​

Pokémon mysteries have always been Dawn and Lucas' passion, so when Professor Rowan retired, they were chosen to be their successors. From that point on and ever since, tehy have continued researching the evolution phenomena, leaving the trainer's life behind but working with the same passion.​

Neo Team Galactic Grunts:

After the disappearance of their boss, Team Galactic started to fall apart. Many of the former members had the ambition to start a new life and leave Team Galactic behind. However, many grunts felt lost and not welcome in the world their master sought to destroy. Thus, it is no surprise that a large amount of grunts happily rejoined the team, once it started to reorganize itself.​

Mars:​

Age: 36​

After Charon had proven himself unworthy of being Cyrus' successor, Commander Mars decided to go on a journey, distancing herself from the team. But, unable to forget the man who had given her a place to live and a reason to fight, Mars couldn't start all over again. She began idolizing Cyrus, the only true father figure in her life, and wished for nothing more than his return. Mars was the first member of the organization who rejoined Saturn's newly formed team. Now, she is determined to bring her former master back.​

Hi, mate! Thank you very much for the feedback! Regarding your question, Well, yes and no. This fangame is being developed by chapters so that the available content so far is complete while we can keep working on new features and plot events.

As for now, we have released the first chapter. You can download it from the game's website (links on the main post)

IMPORTANT:
A major update is coming relatively soon. Please follow carefully the instructions once it is out in order not to break your current game.

The update will bring the following features:
1. It will implement a Sinnoh Signpost system for hints, locations, buildings and routes signposts.
2. It will modify the maps to fit them all in 32x32 multiples.
3. It will implement a better version of the underground, in which only 6 tiles are minable, and these tiles can be seen in the minimap (another update will be needed for the "radar" function in order to spot the exact location of these tiles in an easier way).
4. It will solve several bugs that taked place in Amberia city (Amberia town from now on btw), like for example if you entered one of the northern houses just after the festival concluded, the player could already visit the lab, which wasn't supposed to.
5. It will implement a shiny hunting method for the starters at the festival: you will be able to see whether the starters are shiny directly in the overworld without needing to choose them.
6. Just in case. Chapter 2 will NOT come within this update.

It's a minor patch that solves a cpuple of bugs, and mainly implements a script for several cutscenes, consisting on a fancy dppt-styled TV display both at the very beginning and later in the game plot.

Nothing crazy, but you know. It's important to keep the game as clean as possible .

I'm so sorry for the insane delay in the release of the game. I'm basically working on my own right now save for a couple of things in which I'm getting a small extra help, but there were a LOT of scripts to code in, plus the university and the job have been preventing me from progressing further on the game. I really hope I can have chap 2 by this year!
