Notes:
It's random chance that goes into deciding who you face at the Gym. I've done everything I could think of to keep it interesting and avoid repetition, but it may happen once in a while, especially early on. Also, some early-game Trainers get stronger if you leave them be. You can only fight each Trainer once, so make it count!
Finally, there is no barrier between areas. You can access areas containing Pokemon five times your strength straight out the gate!

Anyone know why the game wouldn’t let me go past the screen of picking a partner for a grass type gym? I just wanted to nickname my cottonee, “Cottonball”, and when I click “ok”, it repeats the line of text about the database before bringing up the starter selection screen again.

What does it take to ascend to Gym Rank 3? I've been playing 8 hours, day 70,ish and I'm still Rank 2. My reputation is through the roof and I've done everything I can do.

After a day in the gym an event happens and after you complete the event you get rank 3. My pokemon were around level 40 at the time, if that helps.

Honestly, it seems that friendship in this game doesn't work, even using Shoothe Bell, Soda Pop, potions... my Scyther is already Lvl46 and doesn't evolve. Always on my team, being my starter, it makes no sense. The game is amazing btw, but it seems that starting with some types leaves you behind, with few team options to build, like the bug type, could have an update with new options

Scyther is level up at night holding a Metal Coat, friendship has nothing to do with it.

Absolutely love this game, but I'm having the same issue that a lot of users are also getting; dealing with that "returning from vacation" soft-lock. I've been obsessing over this game since I downloaded it and it's such a sour feeling to have to immediately stop because of a bug this bad. I've poured over these forums trying to find a fix, but the only fix I'm seeing is to download v4.2.1 (which is what I initially downloaded). I'm not sure what else I can do, let alone any future player of this game can do, as the vacation scenario was given to me (and every other person having this issue) in the middle of a story event. If there's a fix that I'm not seeing, I would jump on it as soon as I can and try to spread the word to others with this same issue.

Sadly, the next major update is taking longer than expected. Thank you all for your patience, so far. I will do everything I can to make this update the best it can possibly be!

Despite this, there is a major glitch that has been affecting a number of people for a while. After a certain story event, activating a vacation will cause the game to softlock. I was gonna wait until the major update to fix this, but more and more people get locked out of the game as the update takes longer to come out.

As a result, I have released Version 4.2.1. This is NOT the major update for the game. This patch is solely to deal with this major game-breaking bug. The next update will be the major update I have been teasing, assuming no other easily triggered game-breaking glitches are discovered.

I know many of you are excited for the next update, and I want to let everyone know I am still working on it. I cannot wait to share it with you all.

New areas, quests, and Pokemon will all be available with this upcoming version, including new variants and evolutions!

Wendigar takes the normally special-oriented Gastly line and takes it in a physical direction.
This Ice/Poison type thrives on Poison teams since its Merciless ability gives it guaranteed critical hits
against poisoned targets!

This Psychic/Flying type is quite common in some areas around Opulance City.
It has a new ability called Once Again! This ability acts like the Metronome item, but acts
independently, allowing for massive damage over time!

Punkeary has a new ability called Rulebreaker! This ability allows Punkeary to ignore the drawbacks
of some items! Life Orb and Choice Scarf are nothing but boons to this Pokemon!

Breezian Gligar search in the dead of night for people and Pokemon. Once it finds a target,
it snatches their hair and adds it to its own! This Pokemon sacrifices some Defense to slightly boost its Special Defense,
with its abilities focusing on defense. Breezian Gligar evolves into a new Pokemon, so keep an eye out for it!

Ok, so i was playing as a Ice type gym leader, and I traveled to Frijed City in the hopes for new ice types, after my traveling day we're gone i check in at the hotel to return, however after arriving I could not move or open menus, and on top of that I saved my game in Frigid, so a.k.a soft lock, is there a way to get me out of this situation?

Hello I remember playing this game when it was older, I think 3.21 or something ldk and I was a ground gym leader, anyways when I started playing again (4.20 cuz 4.21 is PC) I picked Normal and chose munchlax. After a few minutes, I was confused, where is the normal type Pokemon bruh? All I found is A Giant Onix with Pipes. He was cool btw.
