Notes:
It's random chance that goes into deciding who you face at the Gym. I've done everything I could think of to keep it interesting and avoid repetition, but it may happen once in a while, especially early on. Also, some early-game Trainers get stronger if you leave them be. You can only fight each Trainer once, so make it count!
Finally, there is no barrier between areas. You can access areas containing Pokemon five times your strength straight out the gate!

Just beat Edgar, here is my Fire Gym team that I used and also the Pokémon in my box. I might get around to evolving Eevee and doing anything involving vacation later, might not since my team is good enough as is. The only upgrade I'd really want to make to the team is being able to Mega Evolve Blaziken, but Megas aren't in the current version of the game as far as I am aware. Also, gonna point out that Carkol, Turtonator, and Incineroar(who I got from Lilith) had been on the team as some point or another, but were later replaced by Gyarados, Aggron, and Blaziken respectively.
EDIT so as to not double-post: Also, just got a letter saying someone named X wants to apply. Anyone have any info on this?

Sorry for so many posts I have another question how do you evolve the Breezian Magmar into Magmortar. I got the Magmarizer I equipped it on Magmar leveled him up and no evolution I increased his happiness with Berries leveled him up again and still no evolution any help please.

Since this is an alternate form, we'll want to look in pokemonforms.txt.

But then we see that Evolution isn't defined for it here - so that means that it just uses the same evolution defined for its original form. We look in pokemon.txt and we can see that it's Evolutions = MAGMORTAR,DayHoldItem,MAGMARIZER.

Hello, found a bit of a bug and I think this is the proper place to report it? Just started playing today and just got to the Elizabeth battle. Well, I go to walk to the gym to fight here and there are two sprites of her. One still at the fountain, and one in front of the gym as well.

Very nice twist on the pokemon story. I can't wait for the full version. However, there are some things I noticed while playing.

First is in the character selection screen at the start of the game. only the female avatar is showing while the male one will only jump onto the screen when you select it.

The balancing of the game is a bit weird. I started as steel type with Aron. But when I entered one of the caves, I encountered another Aron but dragon-type with Dragon Breath as a starting move. Any pokemon under lvl 11 or 12 will be instantly destroyed. Also, grinding is very difficult due to the sharp growth curve of the wild pokemon (I was trying to grind lvls to hopefully catch the dragon-type Aron I mentioned earlier). It would be great if certain areas have a level cap.

Third, the variety of pokemon you can start with is very nice. I would also suggest organizing the gym-type selection room and instead of colors, maybe the symbol for each type can be shown. The variety you can catch is also a big yes for me, as I generally like to catch at least one kind of each pokemon.

Lastly, I think that the gym could be made customizable for the player where you can assign places for the pathways, decorations, and even the gym trainers. I think this will give the player a greater feeling of being a gym leader.

I am still in the beginning stages of the game so I don't have feedback on the other features. But I will continue to update on things that I notice as I go along.

Great work on the game and I hope that the future updates will be even more better!

Game keeps telling me I need to go see the mayor when I do he just asks me hoe my day is.
He wants me to check my emails and hire a gym assistant but whenever I do my mailbox is empty.

Am confused does sand stream and sand veil not work in this game because my hippopotas does summon a sandstorm but it doesnt do any damage and also my sandshrew doesnt activate his ability is it a glitch or someting. PS also when I cast sandstorm the move the same thing happens it says there is a sandstorm but no damage and the abilities dont act up like sand rush and sand force.
