Hello, everyone! Breaking the silence to let you guys in on how the project is progressing.

First of all, I just want to thank you guys for all of your support. I would have never dreamed this project of mine would get even a fraction of the attention it has been getting. Thank you all so much of your patience.

Also, I had mentioned that OpalSparks/KrysalKasi would be assisting with sprites. Sadly, they are currently unable to help due to personal issues. We do not know if they will be able to rejoin later down the line, but I wish them the best regardless.

As for the update proper, the next update will NOT be the final update. Due to the size and scope of the update, I have decided to split it into two distinct updates. Update 5.0.0 will feature new areas, Pokemon, and quests, in addition to some minor changes. It will, also, feature many cosmetic changes, such as new sprites for major characters and new music to better fit certain battles. Update 6.0.0 will be the final update that features the "big secret" that I teased with the secret boss event. For all the players that completed the event, I thank you for keeping this secret, but I must ask for you to keep it a bit longer. I made a promise to you and I intend to keep it.

In addition to what I have mentioned above, I will be trying to update the project to Pokemon Essentials v20.1. This is for a number of reasons, mainly due to the glitches involving damaging weather and the game crashing if a Pokemon reaches lvl100 in battle. Updating should take care of both of these in one fell swoop. There are other reasons, but I've rambled enough as it is, and I'm not fully sure if this will be final. It is heavily dependant on if it will play nice with old saves and if everything can transition smoothly.

This is one of the reasons the update has been taking so long, in addition to working on my other project Pokemon Snow Warning and just life in general. The plan, currently, is to release v5.0.0, then work on Chapter 2 of Pokemon Snow Warning, and finally releasing v6.0.0. I will try to keep you all updated on any changes and updates that will come.

Overall, it is still going to be a bit before the next update. I cannot wait to show them to you all, but I have to be sure they are the best they can possibly be!
I'll give you guys a glimpse at another new Pokemon joining the fray. Until the next update releases, I hope you all have a nice day!

Type: Dark/Ice

Houndire will be a new evolution for a Frijian variant of Houndour.
It will have a new ability called Cold Snap. It boosts the Attack stat of Houndire,
if it is hit by an Ice-type move!
I hope you will make good use of it in Update 5.0.0!

I can't get this to play. I extracted with winrar and when I click on the file it just says it can't initiate the DirectX audio file. Any help would be awesome cause I would love to play this.

The ROM hack version mentioned in the main post is almost definitely done from a game theft/phishing group, seeing as it's taking the name of this project without actually being associated with Omegas, so I wouldn't waste your time looking for that, it's more likely to be malware than anything else. (It's not even possible to convert RPG Maker games to ROM hacks, and I doubt anyone's painstakingly recreated a game without reaching out to the creator)

ROM Hacking and RPG Maker fangames are entirely different projects - I can't speak for Omegas, but I wouldn't count on seeing him recreate it as a ROM, since he hasn't done anything with ROM hacks before.

A: You can get around this by using a Rare Candy to make them level up instead.

You may have some luck looking for a way to run Windows programs on your OS, like Wine for Mac, but know that you’ll be using third-party software that the creator didn’t work on, so you may encounter issues they can’t help with.

Great concept but boy howdy is it hard as a Steel type.

Not sure what's wrong with Aron or maybe I'm missing something but I checked Bulapedia and pokemondb and Aaron is not supposed to know dragon rage as he has been stomping me every time he comes into my gym against my Aron. I've also noticed that when he hits me with a steel move it does normal damage but when I hit him with a steel move it does half saying its not very effective.

Aron and some other pokemon have been changed to have regional variant. So, it's typing is different now. There are also new fakemon in the game. Try to check the game's wiki instead of bulbapedia.

Hey there! I saw this game concept from a YouTube playthrough and raced to download as soon as I saw a link in the description. Like. YEAH
I am however kicking you for making the new Aron regional the same color scheme as regular Aron's shiny dfgfdg
the first time I'd encountered one I was on my way out of the cave to get more pokeballs so I actually had none... the way my heart dropped into a wintry depression that I would never rise from when I saw his red-eyed stare. Then I noticed his weird little feets and caught another when I came back :O he's cute! I might start over and make a Steel- or Dragon- type gym just for him tbh.

Speaking of starting over, I don't know if I managed to softlock myself in the tutorial or not? This is my first time playing so I might have just missed a step, but I can't see any way to progress from my end. So I downloaded version 4.2.2, chose a Bug-type gym, progressed perfectly fine up until the part where the mayor explains how reputation works, my role, where he tells me that a gym guide may have applied to work at my gym already and to go check my mail, etc; but when I check the mailbox at my house it's empty. Additionally I can't enter the gym because the mayor wants to meet me, and I can't sleep because I need to talk with the mayor first.

Only... I've already seen the meeting with the mayor that these error messages are talking about. All he has to say is "Hey, [MC]! how's your day been?" Can't hire a gym guide either. As far as I'm aware, I'm completely stuck unless there's a hidden step in between that I missed in the dialogue?
I scrolled a bit and couldn't find a softlock like this but also I didn't search very far =u= so could be the latter. I tried a few things just in case I missed a trigger, like catching more Bug-type Pokemon to fill out my team (currently have 4 + a grass-type who knows X-Scissor), raising my rep by battling, and doing some exploring, but nothing triggers either a letter in my mailbox or a new conversation with the mayor :(

I'll start again to maybe see if I accidentally went about the cutscene triggers in the wrong order or if it's a Bug-gym specific bug (heh) or something. Since it's at the very beginning it isn't too much of a hassle to just start a new game.

Edit: Oh good lord someone on reddit just told me about the mailbox OUTSIDE the house not inside at the pc

I seem to have this error now. I have the icy rock in my bag (which i had already collected) and i can't leave the cave. "I can't leave until i have that Icy Rock..."

Is there something i need to do?

You can play it if you run it through Wineskin Winery (I think you have to download it). All you have to do is create a new blank wrapper (and preferably name it), move the game file into the wrapper, and then test run it. An error message will pop up saying that Winery quit unexpectedly, but the game should run after that.

Would anyone happen to know where to find Surf and Dig?

Does it matter what trainer applications we accept or decline to join our gym? Like for example Bug Catcher Carlos is applying, but I wouldn’t think he would fit the theme, but does it really matter if I say yes or no?

Hello ! I am currently a little bit advanced (around lv 70) but I think I get softlocked.

I went to frijed city. When I go to the inn to sleep at the end of my holidays, it takes me back home. But then I can't do anything. All the control are locked
