I have tried downloading this game to play multiple ways and nothing works. I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing because nothing has worked. Any ideas/helpful tips?
I tried using winzip but when I click on the game file it says there aren't any applications that can open the game.

I read that there is a glitch in 4.2.1 that does not allow you to reach rank 5. Has that been fixed or should I play 4.2.0?

Also is there a list changes between versions?

How do you edit the game with cheat engine, i dont want to grind for levels so getting the rare candy seams the easiest way, any idea how to modify de money value?
The standard method doesnt work, the game doesnt recognize my money as a value...

After completing the city's sidequest a girl with a team of Blisseys appears in front of your gym. Also, a man sells rare candies and lucky eggs for $10,000 in the inn

The quests are:
A girl needs a heartscale, they come in the mail
A boy needs a potion, buy at the pokemart
A girl at the inn wants a gracidea flower, appear as an item in Badlands
A blackbelt out of the Cave of knowledge wants you to solve at least 5 riddles

You need to be at least rank 3. Go to the area right of town and go along the bottom. You should see the man looking down at the water and a new girl nearby looking at him. Talk to the girl then fight and beat the man. Once you do this a passage opens up to the moves girl.

Just realized the game is built for pc. I'm using a Mac laptop. So I will try following the instructions for Macs and see if it will work.

Guys, Edgar is in Rider's Hideout on the 2nd floor. Go to the very right and you'll see a ladder and you'll see Edgar there.

I wish I would have read that sooner. Now I'm stuck there too. I just went there in hopes of getting the final member for my dark type gym, and while I did find it now I'm stuck until this gets fixed or I restart from the beginning. I don't feel like starting over, so I guess this game goes on hold for now until there's a patch that fixes this bug.

Is anyone else getting floored by a random hiker with an Uber powerful Tyranitar?

My mons are all around 55 to 65 and this random guy just comes into my gym with a level 99 Tyranitar. Not once. Not twice. But four times now... I'm only rank 4.

Don't want to powerlevel to 100 just for this one guy...

So there is no way to edit the game with cheat engine :(

You just have to search for the link of version 4.2.0 in the previous comments, download and play it to come back home safely, then switch back to the last version

Anyway since it seems like 90% of us chose dark type are cacturne and crawdaunt in the game?

I can't verify but that certainly seems to be the case for me.

I've been rank 4 for about a week and I've powerleveled a few of my Mons up to 80-95 to combat a single level 99 Tyranitar trainer that I'm facing very often in the gym now.

Since I can't seem to make any progress, I'm about to delete it and forget about it.

I got about 20 hours of decent fun out of it so... I guess not all bad. It's a shame though. I'd have loved to finish it up.

He is. I caught one there earlier in the week when I first began playing.

I think I was rank 2 and around level 25-30 with each pokemon. Just didn't seem like a common spawn.

Got a link to it? Going through 100+ pages is a pain you know. No seriously, please just give me a link to the 4.2.0 version. I went through the whole thread and I can't find it. I probably passed it multiple times as I was scrolling through at that. I did see a discord link, but unfortunately the channel that had it was deleted so no luck there. Until someone can provide me a link to the 4.2.0 version I'm just gonna go back to the original plan and wait for a patch or update that got this bug fixed.
