For starters, if you pick the 2 Exp. Shares, the game is harder, just saying...
The Guide character is back from the original, but he actually has a purpose this time around!
Call The Guide on your Pokégear and he'll give you exactly what to do and where to go next!
You never are forced to talk to The Guide, if you feel like that makes the game too predictable, but you are encouraged to!

New features:
The Guide
Name your rival anything now!

Generation 6 and 7 Pokémon!
Alolan forms!
Different TMs, similar to the ones in Return to Tentin.
A ton of minor changes (some major, actually) that you might not notice immediately.
Zubat Cave is back!
Gym Leader teams are much, much more harder.
There's no more shots at Insurgence. At least, for now...
Evolve Pikachu and Exeggcute in the Pokémon Resort!

If I knew how to use RPG-Maker, I would help you out. But alas, I would need someone to give me a crash-course on how to use this program.
I've self taught myself, but there's some code that's still pretty confusing for me. But, if big professional coders make mistakes, then I certainly will, too. Thank you for bringing my attention back into this bug and I will see if I can redo the code again.

Suggestion:

1. Also, the "townmap.txt' file needs to be updated to reflect the current map region of where the game takes place.

Yeah, I was making sure the town map was updated, but I've noticed that for the life of me, I can't make a town map that looks passable. I was hoping to find someone for that, actually. I think a town map would be an important addition to the game.

I will point you to a game that does the region map properly. That should serve as a guide to work from.

Actually it looks like I found a solution to this Rockruff glitch. Please look forward to the quick update I'll release tomorrow.
It was a small error in the code, and it made that much of a problem...
I'm looking forward to the town map addition too!

Beat the Champion!
https://i.gyazo.com/480bf5e87ef0e5c0f4db7ac24c1985ec.png (contains spoilers)

Great game! It's pretty quick for 8 gyms, but fun and felt like a complete game.

I didn't find any gamebreaking bugs not already mentioned in the thread.

I beat the champion on the first try after beating the E4. He could maybe afford a slight bump in difficulty.

I'm really glad you felt that it was a great game! I like seeing Hall of Fame screenshots like this! I'll probably raise the levels to the Champion a little more, I kinda thought he was on-level, since I actually buffed him before.
I want to add post-game stuff, but I'm actually still conflicted on what to add. The post-game in the original game was added to the main story of Tentin Redux, that's why.

Since this is a new update that adds a new feature, restarting the game could work. Rockruff, on the other hand, is a pain, and I will have to look at it further.

It's available later in the game. Talk to the old man in Shashine City after beating the Gym.

You can evolve Haunter via Dusk Stone. Some special evolutions are Crabrawler and Eevee evolving at the snowy section of Mint Mountain and Eevee with a Shiny Stone. Another is Exeggcute and Pikachu evolving by level up in Grassy Path or Sunshine Path. Pumpkaboo and Phantump by Dusk Stone, Magneton, Charjabug, and Nosepass in Lower Sparkpaku too. If I'm forgetting anything, tell me.
