I just released version 0.1.1, which fixes a crash and some other smaller issues and typos. If you have 0.1.0, you can download this patch and extract it to the game's folder.

Let me just start off with, what an amazing game.

This game is very unique and creative, the gameplay is completely different to that of a normal pokemon fan game, so seeing a very different spin on it is refreshing. However where this game blows me away is that it isn't JUST creative, the execution of the game is perfect. The game is not just some gimmick, it stands to be a complete and enjoyable experience.

The 'system' which is the game is extremely fun to explore, receiving funny emails, and looking at profiles. The customability of the system interface is also amazing, new themes as reward really makes you want to play and unlock more.

Right after beating the game a first time I went straight into playing it again, to not only get the other ending, but to unlock more themes. This game really hit a good note for me. If you have ever played and enjoyed "Papers Please", this game is for you.

This game was a great time.

I honestly I had no idea what I was getting into when I started it, but it proved very interesting! I was put in a new world, with new rules, and there was a real *game* aspect to it! Having a timer also kept the pressure on, for sure. I love the story that it told thru the medium of "text only", and how the story was "discovered" by the player as time went on.

I'm not sure what my expectations were going into this game, but they were certainly exceeded. My only critique is that sometimes I'd find a pokemon like a Lvl 9 Swampert or a lvl 10 Marowak or something and when I attempted to report it for being underleveled or hacked species, it wouldn't let me. I fear I may have missed out on some interesting unlockable themes becase of that.

But really, overall, this was a fantastic experience.

Just figured I'd jump in to say that one of the emails explaining the rules says that underleveled evos are allowed and common due to the summoning system of the mmo

I didn't have the time to code the randomizer to take evolutions into account when generating levels, so I settled with this last-minute band-aid solution. :)

I've released 0.1.2, which fixes a nasty segmentation fault and some other minor issues. If you're playing on an older version, I highly recommend getting the patch.

The game jam always surprises us judges and players with unique games, but, 5 games through all the games as I wrote this, I have to crown this game as the single most unique Pokémon game I've ever played. I know you've been working on your SaaS project a lot, but I didn't think it'd lay the framework for anything like this. I went into this game with the expection of seeing technical skills being shown off but not that much gameplay, but you proved the opposite. This game is an exceptional sort of background story or foundation for your PokéMMOn project, and it's its own complete little story. The aesthetic is different but feels very welcoming and intuitive, and you're taken through what you're supposed to do step-by-step.

The Stats UI tab was quite unintuitive at first, but I got used to it a little. My one major gripe with the game was that time, and in general mails/events moved very fast. You can't take your time to read an email, because then you'd have 4 new ones by the time you're done, 20 new reports, and at least an hour'll have passed. My point of feedback would be to slow down time just a fraction.

This was extremely unique as others have said, surprisingly good and thoroughly enjoyable, in addition to what I felt was a perfectly timed amount of gameplay. The UI felt like it would be difficult to use at first but was again very straightforward and it felt like what it seems to have been going for, a classic old-school moderation system with a Pokémon twist.

The critique I would offer is that the time moved too fast, which made looking into trades difficult, as if you were thorough (looked at users, stats, and Pokémon) you'd often run out of time before you could check off everything, even rapidly hitting the correct keys. Also, not sure if this is an error, but
The user 'FUCK YOU' failed a report for inappropriate language in a username?

Really enjoyed playing such a unique game, great work!

I finished this game just now and let me tell you this was a great time. The fact that this game is so much more different than any other fan game is what makes it much more enjoyable. So yeah, this game was a great time and definitely worth playing.

It's such a unique game, I didn't even realize it was made with RPG Maker. Really gives off a Digital: A Love Story vibe (for the like, two other people that played it). It's very genuine. The game itself was a blast, too.

If I were to make one complaint, it's that the time limit sells the game short. Maybe I'm just a slow reader but it's not possible to enjoy the silly messages sent back and forth AND have the time to meet your ban quota all in one day.
