Lemme try to answer this:
If you mean the first gym, you need to go west into the forest which leads to Kohle Town. Afterwards you can access the gym in Felsen City. Holz Town's gym stays blocked, because it is getting demolished.
If you mean the second gym, just explore Obake Town a bit.

First or second gym? Both gyms have story connections to mines.
If it is the first you either need to talk to the scientist in Kohle Town or talk to the main prof in Fels City's PCM (if I remember correctly).
If it is the second, the gym is unlocked after activating the switch there.

This game has been outstanding so far! Played it live yesterday, up to before the second Gym, and it was a very good time. And made only in a month! Good job to everyone involved! Looking forward to finishing it!

Starters aren't guaranteed shinies, but the shiny rate is a bit boosted for them.

Yo, I enjoyed this game a lot! Like with Shattered Light, it's insane that it was made in a little over a month. You and your team must have worked very hard.

As in Taiseiyo before, I really liked your map design. Didn't find any tile errors (apart from a priority issue in Strand City with the Com Center and Gym, where when you surf behind them the player clips through). Considering the time you had, the polish on the maps is very impressive.

The regional forms were a bit hit or miss for me, maybe because some of the sprites looked unfinished with single color outlines. I still liked the design ideas and was eager to find every regional. The game is already very ambitious in its scope, so obviously you have to rush the spritework a bit to fit in that many new mons. The Alien Pokémon were really really cool and I caught them all; Froboul and Mormain were my favorites. And the Knigderr overworld sprites impressed me very much, great work!

The difficulty balancing was very well done and thanks to that many megas, even the grunt battles often felt like a challenge. Due to weak AI, it still hit the sweet spot of being easy enough that I could use any mon I liked. I was a bit sad the Audino trainer had disappeared after the space mission. Would have been useful to help my Alien mons catch up in exp, even though I still made it through the E4 without being too far behind, thanks to Lucky Eggs.

This is a great game! I love how the world looks! I nearly had a heart attack when the Fennekin that showed up as shiny turned into a regular Fennekin, but after interacting with the starters a couple of times it turned back into a shiny? Not sure if intentional or a graphical glitch.

It's intentional. The starters are easy to shiny hunt
