Created in Pokémon Essentials v18.1 (+MKXP)

Plot
It is by chance one day that you fall into the Honnis Underground, left to fend for yourself with only a single Pokéball. It is through a rather unusual series of events that you find yourself wrapped up in a conspiracy involving the beloved "Baker's Dozen"! Will you save the region from chaos? Will you uncover the secrets of the Honnis Region? Will you beat 8 gyms and the Pokémon League in the process? ...Probably.

The Honnis Region

The Honnis region is a sprawling and diverse land filled with countless different Pokémon and cities filled with all kinds of interesting people and places.

Though it contains countless secrets of its own, its most interesting feature is undoubtedly the Honnis Underground, a vast network of cave systems containing hundreds of Pokémon that cannot be found anywhere else in the region. Pokémon within it are more active than their surface counterparts, and there are some individuals that have demonstrated unusual amounts of strength and aggression.
It is said that the Pokémon within have the mysterious property of 'scaling' to the strength of your party!

  • Special abilities granted upon consuming specific items, Traits come in a wide variety of effects that can be granted to any Pokémon!
  • Grants varying stat boosts depending on a species' strength, allowing even weaker Pokémon to keep up with their evolved counterparts
  • While a Pokémon possesses a Trait, it loses the ability to evolve via level-up, requiring it to be evolved through the party menu.
  • Through the use of the EZ-Oven and some recipes, you can even craft your own Pokétreats at any time!

Known issues
Bugs
  • A select few devices seem to randomly freeze upon starting specific wild or raid battles. The cause is completely unknown.
  • Trainers will walk through followers if they are in the way of the player.
  • Followers do not have their running animations work correctly (also present in base essentials).
  • Selecting the same destination as your current location in the fly menu doesn’t refund your money w/ Fearow Guy.
  • Beating a miniboss in an Expedition will very rarely cause the game to freeze

Not technically bugs but
  • Music does not loop correctly due to issues with v18’s version of MKXP.
  • Scatterbug swarms will instantly disappear when the timer event triggers.
  • A few Pokémon are missing one or more of their new shiny forms. This will be fixed at a later date.

Save data will remain compatible with future versions. Maintaining the save data of my original playtesters is one of the reasons I never properly updated past v18.
Sweet.
I am getting started and new question: What is the shiny rate in this game? I am a shiny starter hunter.

UPDATE:
Welp, either it's pretty high or luck decided to throw me a bone this evening:

how do i math pass word puzzle from quest missing in sanitation i am bad at math dose anyone know what password

Shiny odds are technically at a roughly 2.25% chance, but there's three possible shiny variations at equal odds, which technically puts it at a roughly 0.75% for any specific shiny type.
I figure there's no harm in making shinies more common since all it does in practice is boost the odds of people using Pokémon they wouldn't ordinarily keep on their team.

You get the password by returning to the sewer entrance and speaking to the Overseer.
I realized the math was a tall ask but I liked the idea enough to keep the basic concept but add an alternate solution

Is anyone else experiencing a lag in character movement (mostly outside) and text skipping even with the patch?
And why am I on route 2 and still can't run?

Hey, i played the demo and I love the game. Had a few issues with the update. It is going more smoothly than before but during the expedition and checking my pokemon, I noticed several of them have wrong typings like my W! Happiny is dragon type, even evolving it into krokkrok is wrong!

Hey question for you what ability changes to scrappy for Eevee to brawleon. I'm thinking if Eevee has scrappy it changed to justified and if it has the other two those changes to scrappy up on evolution? Also what typing is tentacool supposed to be? Mine is showing ice psychic but I see the Excel sheet says bug water

If you want a Brawleon with Scrappy, get an Eevee with either Run Away or Adaptability. And Tentacool is Water/Bug

The typing is indeed Water/Bug.
I recommend reinstalling and reapplying the latest patch, since it seems that the previous patch had some issues with the files determining form typing getting wrongly replaced

Im having an issue with the battle in the eel hideout. Anytime I interact with the budew and the battle begins the game crashes directly without any error popup. It also happened before when during an expedition I interacted with a poison barb and a crash also happened. Just letting you know since due to no error popup I dont know what is causing it.

Try renaming 'Game' to something else and 'Game_old' to 'Game' and try running the game again. That should allow it to present an error.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did download the full game (I was doing the patches) and it sorted itself out again.

Ok thanks I got the error this way. It seems to be mac's team during the fight.
This is the error I got on the eel's hideaway after triggering the fight.

Are you using the latest patch?
And if so, how many badges do you have, and are you playing on hard mode?
I've tried every combination of badge + difficulty mode and the only time I ever received an error was when I attempted to activate the battle while having 0 badges, which should not be possible, since the quest is only able to be started after receiving the first badge.

I received the following error up on getting exp. I don't think I've even used exp candies on my tentacool so not sure what's happening. It's not crashing me out

I updated now to the latest patch. I was before on 0.4.13 but updated to the 0.4.13.1 version. I have 3 badges, did the optional rematches with the leader, on hard mode too. The same error keeps popping up even with the patch update.

The previous issue with the shuffled form data resulted in the pokemon on your team getting their exp rates temporarily shifted, which changed their levels. Now that the issue is fixed, the pokemon should be updating back to their normal levels upon getting EXP, which is what's causing the issue.

I was battling the rival and the pop up was coming up near endlessly after only taking down 1 mon, I had quit out since the 2nd Pokemon didn't come up and my attack kept hitting nothing.

Hm, if it's not fixing mid-battle my remaining suggestions for potentially fixing it are
1) Place any alternate-form pokemon into the PC and retrieve it, that might refresh the stats
2) Use an EXP candy on them (can be gotten from raids), if possible
If neither works, feel free to message me with your save file and I'll do what I can to fix it.

Thanks for the suggesting I had to use a bunch of candies (the lowest one wasn't moving anything but a few small got it to level up finally) and so far so good 😭
