Absolutely loving it so far, but I also ran into the bug in Platinum Saucer that is preventing me from progressing any further.
It doesn't matter if I take the upper or lower path, the game always crashes in roughly the same area.
We are currently unable to make the default Mystery Gift function work as intended, so for the time being, the NPC on the second floor of the Pokemon Center will distibute the gift in exchange for your Mystery Ticket!
Lol i was about to post something about the lechonk too.
Another Bugged trying to get the lifetime ticket for the train make the train guy not move out of our way causing you to be stuck forever on both side of the train entrances.
I can't fix this at all if I don't know when it happened. For now, try restarting your game and seeing when it happens; from what I can see, your character has been set to the secondary character, sprites and all. That's very specific coding to happen on accident.
The other parts, all good! Crashes in the Thunder Throne fixed, and prizes can now be claimed, and the Mystery Ticket is now claimable without a crash.
Thank you again!! Just a quick question this time!
How far does the current version go? I know the first post says up to the 3rd vice, but does that mean obtaining the 3rd badge isn't currently fully implemented? Not 100% sure if this is a bug with this part or if it hasn't been fully added in yet. Being somewhat vague for spoiler purposes??
I chose to take the item from the 3rd vice after beating them and after the scene played, I was below the vice and able to rebattle them. After doing so, I chose not to take the item and was given the badge and it shows on my trainer card, but I'm not able to purchase anything from the NPC in the Throne Castle that says they only have things available to those with at least three badges. I also still have the item from the 3rd vice in my inventory after having taken it after the first battle and not the second.

No that was most certainly a bug. The event is behaving quite strangely, but I added an extra control switch and it should all be sorted now. The game is over after the events in the Platinum Saucer, when you return to the Mulberry Chamber one last time for the demo :]
As I fix it the patch is automatically live (thank goodness for GDrive backup), so it should be downloadable already.
Fix'd that one now too. I think I was putting the self switches too late on the event. The above with Make it Rain and a tweak for Hold Hands are live now too :]
We're working on making the download easier to download. It is still downloadable, but it just takes a few minutes. We've fixed major errors so that progress /shouldn't/ stop. Thank you to the people reporting bugs on here and on our disc!
This should be everything reported, so the demo is functionally perfect after this! barring typos. there are certainly still typos.
I will apologise that there is still no .zip file to download, as until we are certain no bugs left to be found, it is far and beyond easier to keep the game updated this way. I'm sure the extra few minutes the game takes to download won't ruin anyone's experience :]
I had a really good time playing this game! While the inspiration is very obvious (play the game you'll know it when you see it lol), the setting of the game's region is very novel, interesting, and fun! I had a lot of theories and thoughts going through the game trying piece how the world works together, and I think the way the game's story of the protagonist is very well done, because it doubles at explaining a lot of other things in the game! Also the game is very wll polished with strong dialogue, no major errors and even some surprisingly great wordplay!
Gameplay wise, I didn't find it too difficult or too easy, although I didn't really remember a ton of it either. I did enjoy playing with some of the new Pokemon however! I had a little bit of criticism with Kerning City, where it's set-up to want you to add a Pokemon to the party but the solution is to actually remove it, which I could definitely see some people getting stuck at haha.
There were a ton of fun motifs and worldbuilding ideas in the game, and the game's setting definitely makes it super easy to go really crazy on it. Currently my theory right now is
while I do kinda hope that the world is a hubworld for redemption that anyone can end up being in for them go on their own journeys of recovery (would be cool to see a bunch of select characters have to confront themselves too), a lot of things point to the game's setting of it just being the protagonists personal redemption. But hey, all guessing so anything goes lol
It would've been interesting to see a teensy bit of extra depth in some of the areas, the Casino level was pretty great to see more characters grow instead of every area being like "I am a civilian and I am in hell except the protagonist and like, the gym leader too". Other than that, i'm impressed that despite all the wacky world building, the game's story doesn't have any sort of confusing elements at all. The only real questions I have is just how the areas were constructed pertaining to all other NPCs in the game.
.
Overall, I think the set-up for the region is really well done, and I really liked it!

On behalf of the squad, thank you so very much indeed for the review! The only great shame on my part at least, is that I didn't get to see you play it. All feedback is good feedback in my eyes, so many thank yous again for providing some.
If I may, how would you go about adding more depth to the areas we have so far? Each area changes with a substantial number of NPCs having evolving dialouge based on if the Vice effect is still active or not; are you meaning we need more important NPCs that do so? :]
Oh, and I won't spoil anything about what will happen next, but I will ask: did you ever revisit where a Vice was after you beat them? If so, you may have noticed they were no longer there. An NPC in the Big Bang Boom notes that he can't find Plutus anymore, for example. Something is happening behind the scenes indeed...
To all whom it may concern, a conviniently compressed .rar file is now available for download! Unless anything catastrophic is uncovered, that'll be it for bug fixes for our Demo version.
Please do look forwards to what comes next! Pokemon Covenant should return with its next major update in not too long :]
