This was a nice, enjoyable game. The custom art and choices of music gives the game a distinct personality, the writing is nice and witty, and the variety of ways to customize your team helps to keep things interesting.

Only bug I ended up finding was Marvin getting stuck in his "I can't help you in this gym battle" dialogue if you lose to a gym leader, disabling the ability to turn him off and thus making capturing Pokemon a good bit more difficult than they otherwise would be. It will still reneable when you beat the gym or quit the gym challenge, but I felt it was worth noting regardless.
I also do have a few small nitpicks, but they certainly aren't dealbreakers or anything:
  • Due to Marvin being prevalent in such a big portion of battles, it would probably make capturing wild Pokémon a lot easier if you could throw Pokéballs with two Pokémon on the field (which would require an edit to the scripts). Not a huge deal on its own, but when combined with the aforementioned bug it can make it a bit of a pain to add new members at times
  • The post gen-5 mons don't seem to have any sorts of icons, just the placeholder ?'s
  • The last 10 red rings seem to be nowhere to be found. I don't know if they're held by a specific NPC that I just haven't been able to locate or what.
  • I love the fact that there's an Impossible Game reference, but man, I really didn't care for the level 3 shtick at the end of "if you fail here you have to restart from the beginning of the level." RMXP's movement isn't really that smooth or responsive, especially not when dealing with higher speeds, so having to redo multiple rooms if you make even a single mistake makes things incredibly tedious. Luckily being able to save and reset made the section a little bit more palatable.

Hey! Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the input.
I can come up with an easy fix for Marvin getting stuck. All I need to do is turn off a switch in the Pokemon Center. I was confused too when the game gave me an option to pick which Pokemon to catch but wouldn't let me actually choose one. I'm not sure if changing that would be to game-changing atm. The lack of icons is mostly due to me not downloading the Gen 8 Pack which has them. Unfortunately, it seems like I miscounted, and those 10 Red Rings are missing from the game. I'll probably remove that gimmick at the end since I forgot you can just save lol

Hi! There are a couple hints floating around in that room for solving that puzzle. If you'd like to know the answer, then click the Spoilers! Thanks for playing!

"I wish they could all just decide on one thing."
"TOO MANY MAGIC WORDS!"
Have all three of the brown statues saying the same thing, then head back to the gray statue.

Ok, so I was doing this for awhile now, and I think I figured out why it wasn't working, I could be wrong though. I think the game sometimes doesn't register if I talked to one of the statues, causing me to need to talk to again and again until it works, seemed to usually happen to the second statue. It isn't a big issue but I thought you may want to know. Also nice game! I'm enjoying it so far.

I think I found the issue, and it's with the third statue. It repeats what the first statue is saying. This is a bug, I'll have this fixed by tonight. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

Some things I wanna share since now this game's been out for over a week: First off, thanks to everyone for coming just to check this page out! I hope to one day have much much more to show of this game at a later date. Second, I wanna give a HUGE shoutout to anyone who played this version of the game and also anyone who gives feedback after playing! It's thanks to you guys that I'm able to find and fix things that I otherwise probably wouldn't even have noticed. Y'all are all awesome! Catch y'all later!

For anyone who's looking to add a specific available Pokémon to their team, here's the encounters doc for v1.0.6 of Pokémon: Blast Processed Version! Happy hunting! (Note: There are currently a little over 400 mons available in the Pokedex. More may be added at a later date.)

On a review embargo until judging ends, so just reporting some errors real quick. I think I was on v1.0.5 when I wrote these down, because the changelog for v1.0.6 looks like it fixed some of them.

1694038401960.png

Marvin's image stayed on-screen while the rest of the screen faded to black with that map transfer.

The PMC map displays Cedolan City when saving inside

The region map displays Red's icon and data from Essentials' default maps.

1694038640605.png

This might've been one of the cutscene pictures you fixed, but if not, here you go.

Caught wild Pokemon still drop their held items, so the player gets a duplicate.

Clementine's sprite seems a little high, but I wasn't sure if that was to make her look like she was jumping.
1694038752942.png

1694039178906.png

Armarogue's legs go below its shadow.

Omega uses the Tutor.net plugin's default dialogue ("By the way are you aware of Tutor.net?") in addition to his regular dialogue.

Davy Sprocket's name is a little too long for the databox.
1694038907205.png

Komala didn't have a cry, I didn't check with any other Gen7+ mon, so it might be all of them.

1694038948114.png

This might be intentional, but the text changed red here when Marvin usually speaks in black.

A few tile errors -

don't have direction fix turned on, so interacting with them from another angle makes them change graphic.

Very sorry for the late replay. A lot has happened these past couple months. I will also admit that this specific puzzle was made more annoyingly than need be. So for anyone who has problems with the post game Spicy Cave Puzzle, this is for you.

First off, sound queues, you want to get the Legend of Zelda sound effect 6 times in a row to get to the final room. Any mistake and you'll have to start over. If you're in the post game, you can access the end of the secret maze by following this specific path: 1. UPPER TUNNEL, 2. LEFT TUNNEL, 3. UPPER TUNNEL, 4. RIGHT TUNNEL, 5. RIGHT TUNNEL, 6. DOWNWARD TUNNEL. (Thankfully I wrote this down in advance lol)

Hope this helps!
