Pokémon OBSIDIAN Version
Originally known as "NEO Fused Green".
Hello! My name is Hiangane (@Wh1telighter). I've been working on a Pokémon Fusion fan game named "Pokémon Obsidian" which was inspired by my old Fire Red GBA rom called "Fused Green".
The game's goal is to take a different approach to fusion games, creating a unique universe with novel lore, intriguing characters, and interesting fusions that aren't just Pokémon Fire Red but with fusions.
That is my goal for the project.

My first rom hack, Pokémon Fused Green, served as the inspiration for Pokémon Neo Fused Green, a fangame created with Pokémon Essentials/RPG Maker XP.
has all the features of a completely new fused dex, including 160 pokémon and a completely new reverse view of the Kanto region.
Begin by challenging Leader Lance from Cinnabar Town to reach Elite Four Brock!
But doing this large of a project is a difficult step even for me. I've been working on it alone for more over 6 months and have only completed 6 gyms worth of content, with burnouts and losing interest over time owing to so much pressure being solely in my hands.
This is a passion project, but with my limited skills of coding and spriting, there is little I can do to make it a reality.
I'm currently working using RPG Maker XP with Pokémon Essentials V21.1, and I'm looking for people who want to help shape the world and make this project real.
The NEW Kanto Region
The concept of Pokémon has drastically changed over the years, and so have the regions of the Pokémon world.
As the environment shifted in extreme ways, many Pokémon were forced to adapt to survive.
These changes caused the extinction of several species, while others began breeding across species,
creating what are now known as Pokémon Fusions. These hybrids combine two Pokémon into a single, new form.
Now, in the year 20XX, your application to become a Pokémon Trainer has been accepted. You are chosen to take part in the new Pokémon League challenge
and are mentored by Professor Oak as both a Trainer and a researcher.
With a region to explore, friends to meet, and powerful opponents to face, your journey is just beginning.
But this new world is not without danger. An evil organization sees this reality
as a mistake and will do anything to put an end to it.
Explore a reimagined Kanto in this new timeline, face the threats endangering the region,
and uncover the truth behind Pokémon Fusions and the world they created!
Explore the Kanto region in a way you have never experienced before. Visit familiar towns, areas, and landmarks in a brand-new order, each redesigned with a fresh feel.
Your journey begins in Pallet Town and takes you toward Cinnabar Island, where you will face the first Gym Leader.
Collect all eight Gym Badges to prove your strength and earn the right to challenge
the four strongest Trainers in the region, culminating in a battle against the Champion.
The game features a completely original Fusion Pokédex, with over 160 Pokémon to catch and document, allowing you to fully embrace the role of a Pokémon researcher.
This demo offers three or more hours of gameplay and currently reaches up to the sixth Gym, with more content planned throughout 2026.
Our gameplay also includes:
A fully original Fusion Pokédex, featuring over 160 Pokémon to discover and register.
Quality of life improvements throughout the game, including Nature Mints, ability changers, and EV, IV, and EXP training areas.
(These features are unlocked naturally so the game stays balanced and rewarding.)
New, charismatic characters, along with expanded and more meaningful roles for characters who felt underused in Pokémon FireRed.
A completely new perspective on the Kanto region, allowing you to explore it in reverse and experience familiar locations in a fresh way.
Modern gameplay systems such as DexNav, level caps, multiple difficulty modes, and updated, user-friendly interfaces.
A brand-new rival who is not Gary, serving as your traveling companion throughout the journey.
A new villainous organization from another region, replacing Team Rocket with a fresh narrative goal.
An original story inspired by the classic FireRed plot, while delivering a completely new experience.
Not your typical fusion game, this is a fresh take on the concept with its own identity.
