Pokemon Pyrite takes inspiration from the country Colombia, along with the Indigenous Muisca tribe and the myth of El Dorado
General Plot (So far):
The story begins with you and a girl called Emeria (your first rival) being recruited by the professor (currently being called Professor Jacaranda for now). He claims that he needs assistance in researching a group of people from the distant past, as he believes there exists a city made of gold that only this group knows the location of. So as you and your rival travel the region and collect all the gym badges, you must also learn about the history and culture of these people, either through ruins or their descendants. Of course there will be conflicts throughout the story, like with your second rival, called Antonio, whom seems to be nothing more than a delinquent that wants to get in your way. But also as you learn more and more, the professor's intentions seem to become increasingly suspicious.

There hasn't been a whole lot that's been completed. Primarily various early route Pokemon designs, some character designs, music, and portions of the story have been written.
