Travel to the Otorian region (loosely based on Ontario, Canada) for a nostalgic Pokémon adventure
that blends a new world and story with the familiarity of the Generation 3 aesthetic.

Pokémon Sacred Trillium was written and developed casually but with great care over the course
of a full calendar year. This is my first Pokémon fan game, and first game that I have ever developed at all,
so feedback and discussion is absolutely appreciated!

Choose between one of six playable characters as you traverse Otorian. Fill out your Pokédex,
earn Gym Badges, and watch out for Team Rage, the resurgent criminal organization that has its
sights set on extracting all of the region's resources for profit.

With a custom Pokédex of 400+ Pokémon, day/night mechanics that affect wild encounters, and environmental diversity
throughout the region, you have endless options for building an elite team on your quest to become the Champion!

  • Approximately 15-25 hours of gameplay (depending on speed of play and desire to complete the Pokédex)
  • Custom Otorian Pokédex containing 400+ Pokémon hand-selected based on regional/environmental fit
  • New region loosely based on Ontario, Canada
  • Day/night mechanics that affect wild encounters
  • Use of Unreal Time System (created by FL) so that day/night cycles are not based on computer clock time
  • Partial non-linearity of Gyms (Gym Leaders in Wadiswan Town, Ginzi City, and Vinifera Town can be battled in any order, and every Trainer in the Gym (including the Gym Leader) is level-scaled accordingly based on number of badges obtained)
  • Mandatory use of some HMs for that sweet, sweet Gen 3 nostalgia
  • Rematches with most Trainers using the Pokégear phone application
  • Post-game content (access to new areas, Gym Leader and Elite Four rematches, Legendary encounters, roaming encounters)

is there any regionals?
I didn't go with any regional variants this time around, mostly just because before starting this game I hadn't played any of the mainline games beyond Gen 3 and I was very unfamiliar with Gens 4-9! Now that I've learned more I might consider it in a future game haha

I'm playing but currently I'm not really far. The difficulty have good balance i think, i feel familiarity with other gamefreak game in gen 3 because of how this play but i feel the game don't need to be exactly like the og game. You can use some costom tilesset resource create different building design and interior using free resource in community and you can also make original mc sprite i think for this is new story and region

Thanks for your thoughts so far, I appreciate it! I agree with your feedback, my goal for my next game is to get away from using the default tilesets/visuals and experiment with the awesome resources created by others in the community :)
