This resource is incredibly good and a wonderful package to create nostalgic fangames--I've already used it a bunch of times! Truly this is something that I will keep coming back to, because I absolutely love making gen 2-style games (it's the gen I started on as a kid).
Recently, however, someone brought up a bug in a game i'd made, and I realized that it is in fact true on the base version of Essentials GSC v1.3.2!
It seems that in battle if a Pokémon levels up to level 100, the game crashes. This does not occur if the Pokémon hits lv 100 thru a rare candy, or exp candy, or exp share elsewhere in the party--just if it's in battle. I've tried a few things to fix it, but I'm not much of a programmer and nothing I (nor my codeveloper) tried ended up working. Here's the error message [it's from the game i developed but does appear in the vanilla kit as well]:
