Creative What Pokétch app ideas would you want to be a thing?

In generation 4, the special feature which filled the bottom screen was the Pokétch. It stands for Pokémon Watch. More information on it can be found here: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokétch.

We're likely to get generation 4 remakes at some point, which will undoubtedly contain the Pokétch, too.
Do you have any ideas for apps they should add? Do you wish they added a specific app in D/P/Pt?

I think a cool app would be able to see what your Pokemon is doing in its Pokeball. I have no idea why this would be so great and I would probably get bored of it fast, but I still want it.

I wonder if it's going to be basically an upgrade to the XY/ORAS touch screen. In that case I'd love for Super Training to make a return. That and any successful feature from ORAS (cough-DexNav-cough) would be splendid.

As for new ideas, maybe a screen for quick access to Seal customization, since that is also most likely to return (and unlike the majority, I love this feature). And quick idea for updating Seals, maybe we can also attach ribbons to a Seal, and they act as a complete animation on their own, similar to how clothes can have entire outfits.

And as for updates to old apps, a more detailed Berry map similar to how ORAS handled them would be wonderful, even better if the map allows us to Fly directly to a Berry spot in question.

I'd love the pedometer to also have a "steps left to hatch egg" feature. (Or, if they won't let us get specific, at least a general range) And the memo pad shouldn't erase itself when clicked away-what the heck is the point if I can't see the note later?

Some apps I think should just be removed altogether.

• Pokemon List. Seriously, we already have the party menu only two buttons away.
• Counter. If I really wanted to count up by ones, why not just +1 on the Calculator?
• Calendar and clocks. It made sense with the DS, but now that the 3DS lets you return to your game after checking the home menu, no point in taking up three slots for it.

That actually would be cool, sounds like a simplied version of Pokemon amie!

Anyways, I believe a Roaming Legendary checker? It would help show the route the legendary is in. I think they had those in platinum but they would be an interesting thing to use.

I agree with the memo pad, calendar removal (though you could put notes for further dates and that was nice) and the general range of egg hatching, but I actually like that the Pokemon List was there. Back in my day, you could easily pretend that you were a PokeTuber thanks to the bottom screen providing something that older playthroughs of Gen.3 (or older) games couldn't, and that was a nice showcase of your party members, and having that on the bottom screen was just fitting. It was also a nice "default" screen for most people, and removing that would make to Poketch feel lacking.

I think that in general, there should be a good amount of condensing and ease of navigation for the remade Poketches. It was a bit of a hassle to navigate each one just by number and flipping up and down (for Platinum, in DP it was just down), so having a hub area to quickly navigate through options would be sweet. The other major route or consideration is the condensing of apps. There is apps for both a timer counting up and a timer counting down, so why not just a timer that could do both? In addition, condensing the general/marking map with the Berry Map would be neato if it's feasible. IDK, these are just some things off the top of my head.

Quick travel. Are you outside? Is there any switch turned on to prevent you from using Fly? Then tap on the map. "Do you want to Fly to xxxx?" Yes! You're there now.
A quick bag with all your "registered" items, so you can tap on a Repel to use it (maybe display remaning steps too), tap your bike, tap Escape Rope etc.
Quick Running Shoes mode toggle.
"Journal" displaying a string based on recent events/current story objective. "Something's off at Geosenge Town. I've been asked to investigate the Team Flare HQ located there." etc
Calendar, but one that might show details when that day is selected, such as whether there's a Catching Contest (for all Tuesdays) but also particular days specified by the dev (e.g. 10/31 Spookfest at Somethingsomething Town)
Some stupid minigame like not-Pac-Man or not-Snake for no apparent reason

I imagine a Vs. Seeker app would be popular. It'd show a simplified view of the surrounding area, perhaps just as simple as differentiating between walkable and non-walkable areas, and would have icons indicating trainers you have/haven't fought/are able to rematch/are ready to rematch. Tap it to refresh the image (gotta make it interactive somehow!).
