Team : No pro bro​

Overview

In an alternate reality where Mega Evolution hasn't been discovered yet, you play as Brendan right in the middle of Delta Episode, However the lack of mega evolution takes a heavy toll as Rayquaza by itself isn't strong enough to destroy the upcoming meteor, Luckily Devon was able to fix the Link Cable
Through some set of circumstances you get pushed into the portal made by the link cable and End up in Hisui

Hey I just finished playing this game, I had a great time!
Some thoughts:
I really really really enjoyed this game, it is very different from a normal pokemon game and actually enjoyable. And the premise alone leads to tons of fun. Starting cutscene, and all the cutscenes in general felt pretty well done. But in particular the lead up to the title card drop was dope. But also stuff like seeing the distortion world beneath the cracks in the mountain, just all super awesome.

The other real standout for me about what I love with the game is the whole flashback system. I really liked it and it just felt awesome making choices about your team in flashbacks and then finding them in the world. Exploring was pretty fun starting off, but I ended up getting pretty lost searching for Latios and it was hard to know exactly what direction to go in. In the future I think for open areas like that it would be nice for either the areas to be designed a bit tighter, and with more identifiable paths, or to maybe have some indication of what areas you need to check out and what areas you've finished with.

I thought the overworld encounters were pretty neat and worked with the exploration of the game well, and I liked the grass mechanics in theory but they ended up being pretty redundant. Since already agro'd pokemon will still chase you into them you only really hide in them before getting aggro'd. And if you're waiting in grass it just gives time for more pokemon to spawn around you. I think if it was changed so that the grass deaggro'd pokemon it would work pretty well. And you could have some more stealth focused maps of trying to run from tough pokemon, jumping from grass patch to grass patch for safety.

this game also just had a ton of really nice details that I want to compliment:
-Unique trainer card design with 8 badges already
-Volo's togekiss saying it is only temporarily being given to you in the summary
-The cyrus fight being upside down.
-The kleavor movement was really cool and actually moved in an interesting way

A few small things that I think could use some fix ups/edits
-The courtney fight is way too hard with a grovyle
-There was a lot of iffy grammar or spelling. I'd suggest having a team mate to help proof read or if you're working solo you can try running your dialogue through grammarly.
-I felt like I wasn't being rewarded for moving well in the kleavor fight, it would be nice if a successful engagement meant my pokemon being buffed, or the cleavor being debuffed, or maybe started off confused or with a status. Plenty of options.
-The start of the game, starting off with the ??? pokemon felt very odd, I get why it is done but I feel like there is a smoother way to do that part of the game before you get a pokemon.

But yeah I genuinely had a blast. REALLY REALLY REALLY impressive for a first game. I wish my first game could've been this cool but it was not. You've made something really unique here and I look forward to what you make in the future

My lack of experience is showing with the new stuff as im trying to make a mouse compatible ui with easy mouse system after i took like months to make togglable diagonal movement and working Terapagos with Terashell ability

As for the other stuff :-

-Yea i dropped Courtney fight levels by few and buffed steven with better moves like psychic fangs
-I dont have a team to check the grammer and im really bad with dialogues,But it also lets me add some fun lines and not be text-bookish,I do plan to rewrite it with someone else's help later down the line
-The idea with Klevour fight is to be as faithful as original i can make,If your not successful in engaging you get damaged,3 times and you die,I plan on adding health bar for you and Klevour to make it more obvious but i dont know how to yet lol
-Yea ??? was just becoz i dont know how to make pokemon spawn while you have non,So i paid homage to gen 3 games,It also gives you a really small chance to run from battles

Thanks again for the feeback ive been barely getting through making the game to the point of just dropping it for months lol
