Looking for:
Pokémon now show a silhouette in the Pokèdex so the player can better imagine what will be there, instead of the normal question mark for all sprites. (Thanks to TechSkylander1518)
An example of the Sound Type implemented into the game. I used WolfeyVGC's Sound type video as a guide to how it is added. I agreed with a lot of the points he made and built the type around it.
The Sound type will be weak to Bug, Poison, Rock, and Psychic.
It will resist Fairy, Water, Steel, and Flying.
It will deal 1/2 damage to Bug and Ice.
Finally it's super-effective against Water, Steel, and Fairy.
The Infinicandy sprite and in game text. Fully tested, trust me it works!
Some of those Pokémon changes I mentioned and what they look like in game!
In conclusion, everything now feels like it's in place to be implemented. From now, it's just the story and gameplay implementation.
My next step was to start map building around the story written so far, but really didn't want to put too much work into that until tilesets had been decided. Currently putting some test maps together to test different things with the additional plugins. But I am mostly putting together the story loosely, finishing those Pokémon changes, and creating different trainers to see how they feel. (Memorable, thematic, challenging, and showing off the changes made.) For ex: The Aipom that is your rival's ace has technician and will be a normal/fighting type. Picturing Ambipom with Technician, Fake out, double hit, mach punch, and another coverage move sounds like a fun battle!
Story so far: Yes it's still extremely new, literally started writing about 2 days ago, I plan to put at least an hour into every day going forward. So expect an updated story shortly!
- Mappers/Tileset Makers
- Small event maker (Most of the events I'll be taking care of myself, but help with trainer events, obtain Pokémon, and other small events would be appreciated!)
- Spriters (Overworld and Trainers) Currently using Dawn/Lucas for players, and all the Heartgold/Soulsilver trainers. Help with formatting sprites, or making custom art would be amazing! To me, when it comes to remakes with a totally new world just feel more polished when everything feels custom, or different enough that it doesn't feel like you're playing a cannon game.
- Play Testers!
- This is a Pokémon Essentials 20.1 Fangame
- The game is planned to be built around a classic Pokémon adventure with 8 gyms, a league, and side stories! (No evil team)
- One cool feature I have planned is being able to practice your Champion role. (You will receive notification that a challenger approaches!) There's a thought to have the player be able to choose being a gym leader instead, where the difference would just be the solo type restriction.
- Extremely nuzlocke friendly! Level caps, Infinicandy (a Rare Candy that is never consumed), and challenging battles. Every battle should be challenging, with new AI, team synergy, and appropriate leveling.
- Side quests will be a large part of the game, most items will be locked behind a quest. My only goal with this one, is to make sure they don't feel too repetitive. Each one with it's own unique story.
- Player character talks, and makes decisions that change the outcome on quests. Sometimes it leads down a path that really doesn't change much but dialogue, other times, it may affect how other quests and quest givers are interacted with.
- Aimed to implement megas, but not the newer mechanics, z-moves, gigantimax, etc.
- Added the Sound Type!
- This is an extremely new project, a lot of the work that has already been finished is in the coding, and plugin applying. (Making sure they work together) As well as Pokémon adjustments. Charizard changed to Dragon/Fire before mega, less popular Pokémon being buffed to help with the nuzlocke ability of this game. (This is still in progress, given I'm using the Gen 8 Pack which means I need to go through and look at 900 Pokémon LOL)

Intro
---------------------------------
Gender and Name select, Introduction to world, First thing to do, "Go enroll at your first day at the academy"
Part 1.1 - Player's Home
---------------------------------
Cutscene of sister's first day leaving for academy 3 years prior. (Shows her determined and excited)
Cuts to black, shows player in room reminiscing,
Exclamation, "Whoa, I blanked out there for a second. I should head out soon!"
Head downstairs to find mom and sister waiting for you with a letter from the headmaster at The Academy of Evolution.
welcoming you to your enrollment date at the academy. (1 week from today)
Your sister explains how excited she is to get to challenge you to a battle, and lets you know she won't let you win easily.
Your sister started her adventure 3 years ago and even received 5 gym badges!
But she was referred a position as Kolima City's Gym leader by the headmaster of the academy himself,
so she didn't complete the league challenge, but has now become one of the obstacles for other trainers to try!
Your mom expresses how happy she is to see her children all grown up and congratulates you on your enrollment,
tells you not to push yourself too hard. Have fun, that's the most important part.
Your sister heads back to the gym, saying she'll see you at your enrollment ceremony next week,
while your mom suggests you talk around town. Everyone wanted to see you off!
Part 1.2 Vale Town
---------------------------------
Quest Start: Speak to everyone in town!
Pretty regular stuff here, but you're introduced to key mappings, game mechanics, given starter rewards, essentially a tutorial.
While exploring you hear noises in the trees, multiple times, as if something is following you and jumping from tree to tree.
You also meet one of your rivals who also starts their journey at the same time as you.
Return home, and mom tells you about the package that has just arrived for you.
Choose your starter!
Time to begin, you are about to leave town when something jumps out of the trees! It's an Aipom!
Rival we just met comes out and gets Aipom back in its ball and challenges you to your first battle.
Battle commences, win or lose, you both talk about traveling to Kolima City next week.
The week of, final farewell to mom, and you embark on Route 1.
