(Update 4/2/23) Made with RPG Maker XP on Pokémon Essentials v20.
Hey, how's it going?
Welcome to the most something Pokémon game you'll ever play, probably. I'm EndlessBeat, and this is OK Mon: Adequate Version!

Region
mapRegion0.jpg

I guess I should start by explaining where the heck you are, huh?

This game takes place in a land called the Musco region. It's not based on anything. It just exists, and the people and Pokemon that live there look like they've been horribly mutated, that or they were drawn by someone with a super weird art style. On top of that, there's this crazy voice that appears every now and then trying to help you throughout your journey. I wonder what that's all about.

Story
POKEMONTRAINER_Red.png

In this game, you'll play as Jimmy, a 19-year-old boy who, for no reason whatsoever, spontaneously decided to leave his life of motherly leisure and step foot into what will probably be the silliest adventure he will ever embark upon. You'll meet many people that will very likely say only one or two things to you and never speak to them again. You'll see many places that kinda sorta look similar to each other but are different enough to be called different names. You'll take part in many battles that don't really do much for either side, but they somehow enjoy it, nonetheless. You'll find loads of discarded items on the ground, yes, actual litter that you pick up and use to give your Pokemon a needed boost. You'll do lots of other things that's in literally almost every other Pokemon game. Maybe now's a good time move on to the unique features this game has.

Unique Features
LHXU9119.png

Battle Type Options:
Ever wanted to freely switch between Single, Double, and Triple battles for both Wild Encounters and Trainer Battles? Now you can!

Buffed Abilities, Pokemon, and Moves:
Select Pokemon got what many would agree to be a needed in boost in either their movesets, their stats, or their abilities. In addition, certain moves such as Submission and Iron Tail got buffed in both power and/or accuracy! (See the documentation for which Pokemon and moves got buffed)

Custom TMs:
  • TM10: Hidden Power
  • TM27: Return
  • TM39: Power Gem
  • TM69: Iron Defense
  • TM82: Slack Off
  • TM85: Zen Headbutt
  • TM93: Fire Punch
  • TM94: Thunder Punch
  • TM95: Ice Punch
  • TM96: Aura Sphere
  • TM99: Earth Power

Hand-Drawn Sprites, Map, and Loading Screens:
FPMDE0343.png

All 400 Pokémon featured in this game, as well as certain screens, have been drawn using an IOS painting software called YouDoodle.

Level Caps:
At the very start of the game, you will be asked whether or not you want to play the game while using level caps. This decision is permanent, meaning once the level caps are either turned on or off, they cannot be switched back unless you start a new save file.
[20,24,30,35,42,46,52,58,75,100]

New Level Candy:
The Rare Candy has been reworked into a Key Item that, when used, increases the level of your Pokémon up by one. This cannot be used if the level exceeds the level cap.

New Natures:
  • Double Stat Nature: Raises Two Stats and Lowers Two Different Stats
  • Extreme Stat Nature: Raises One Stat by a Lot and Lowers Every Other Stat by a Little

Starters from Different Regions:
BULBASAUR.PNG
CHIMCHAR.PNG
MUDKIP.PNG

The starters that you'll choose from in this game are Bulbasaur, Chimchar, and Mudkip, all of which have a Mega Evolution as part of their final form. Infernape's Mega Evolution is exclusive only to this region!

Regional Forms:
This game features existing regional forma such as Corsola and Zigzagoon while also having completely new regional forms such as Lapras and Sunkern. Can you find them all?

Theme-Based Gym Leaders and Elite Four:
Instead of having Pokemon that share a single type, Gym Leaders now use Pokemon that share a similar quality. (Ex. Country, Feminine, Glass Cannons, etc.)

Hey how's it going? Now that the game's been out for about a week, why don't I fill y'all in on a few hints? Wink Wink

Hints:
  • Some NPC's will give you a Pokemon for free! Be on the lookout for a scientist in Bassec Town, and a Pokemaniac in Circasio City.
  • The green house in Obvuss Town contains a TM and a hidden easter egg.
  • In every gym, there's a gym guy that will give you the scoop on your upcoming gym battle, including the theme and level cap!
  • Certain Poke Marts let you wonder trade your Pokemon. You can receive nearly every Pokemon in the region Pokedex using this method!
  • Tricky Move Locations:
    • Fly: Ickitek Village
    • Strength: Sosha City
    • Surf: Route M

That's all for now! Catch y'all later! (Heh, get it?)

hey are the level caps hardcaps or soft caps?
They can be either, really, depending on how you play. The Level Caps themselves are technically hard caps, not allowing you to gain experience the very moment you reach the level cap, but you can play without them and follow along the list of levels I posted:

Almost every major change to the game can be found in the ChangleLog PE txt file that comes with the project. This includes move changes, price changes, and evolution method changes! Unfortunately, I seem to have forgotten to add the changed methods for the regional forms. Sorry! 🤣
  • Musconian Poochyena evolves with a Shiny Stone! The earliest you can find one is in Crossroad Caverns.
  • Musconian Sunkern evolves with a Dusk Stone! I believe the first obtainable one is in F2 of Babboo Mountain.

Are there any fakemons in the game currently or is there a plan to add them later?

You can find Wooper in Route C in the water.
Or you can breed Quagsire, who can be found in Randrupt Town, Route I, and in the water of Jungaloo Village.

There's only 1 fakemon in the game if you don't count regional forms, and I don't have any plans to add any more. The Pokedex is set in stone for this game.

Thank you for letting me know. I’ll try to get the fly glitch fixed soon as I can. Thankfully, until then, you should still be able to fly to a different location that doesn’t glitch.

As for the Toxic issue, TM compatibility is, at the very least, based on BDSP, which, as you’ve noticed, nerfs Toxic’s compatibility to mostly Poison types. I’ll probably buff that as well for certain Pokémon.

OK Mon: Adequate Version has gotten its very first update! (v1.0.1) This update mostly fixes bugs and a few oversights, but also adds a couple neat things like an updated formula for what levels traded Pokemon will obey you. The TM for Toxic also got a small boost. Finally, the txts in the new download now contain more information regarding evolution methods. Good luck! I'll see you in the next update! (If there is one, heh)

Another week has passed, so how about some more hints, huh?

Hints:
* Along with the three key items on your desk, there's the Level Candy stored in your PC!
* Cycling Road is the longest path in the game. Use it to farm steps in the Pokemon Daycare.
* If you defeat specific trainers in Babboo Cave, a fisherman in Route F will give you three useful TMs!
* There are three berry loving brothers, one in Travella Town, one in Bassec Town, and one in Sosha City! Each will give ore sell you something nice!
That's all for now! Catch y'all later!
