Completed Pokémon Deserted

I downloaded this for use on JoiPlay, and whenever I run into a wild Pokemon I get this error message.

RPG Maker Plugin for JoiPlay

Script '[Luka's Scripting Utilities] script.rb' line 457: NoMethodError occured.

undefined method `raw_data' for #<Bitmap>

And then joiplay crashes. I downloaded 1.4, and the game starts fine, it just crashes when I get my first encounter. Any ideas?

grabbing cut crashes the game, im gonna play without the update but feels bad bc id like to experience the entire game ig

im not sure how to know i have the update installed appropriately, but when i get the HM01 Cut the game crashes. i think ill just try to play without the update, deciphering what i know from error messages it seems like thats the issue. a reply would be greatly appreciated on how to appropiately install the update, and touching base on obtaining HM01 making the game crash. Thanks ^^

Here to echo the issue with grabbing the Cut Guide. Please let me know if this is something that can be worked around at all; I REALLY want to experience everything in this game!

Can I ask if the Dhelmise is a one time encounter? If so, can we catch another Dhelmise somewhere? To that end, is the a faq somewhere with the available pokemon? Trying to build a ghost type team :)

I did that now before the game loads it says Failed to read script data: Data/Scripts.rxdata

You sure you installed the right version of joiplay app AND the rpg maker plugin?
It could be possible that you just had a problem when you extracted the files. It happens rarely, but is possible.
Try it again, maybe that helps.
I dont know if there were any custom changes made for this game which conflicts with joiplay.
But for my game (which is also developed with PE v19.1) these three things always fixed the problem.

How does someone correctly apply the update? Do we just replace the "data" file folder with the update one?

EDIT: did a test. This process works for at least the game breaking bug surrounding "Cut."

You have to paste the data folder from the 1.4 update into the in the "Pokémon Deserted" folder. That fixed this issue for me.
