Gonna be honest, I don't like the fact that Rust is in Lucas's clothes from platinum instead of something more creative. I feel like if you're gonna make a new character, they really should have their own unique clothing and design, at least for their original default sprite, before using another character's clothing. Otherwise, the UI seems a bit blocky for my taste, but it is clean so I cant complain much. Hope to see more in the future!

Thank you for your feedback. The reason why I leave Rust with Lucas's clothes is that I really like the design, and the game is also revolving kinda like generation 4 so I think this outfit looks really fits to the situation (and bring back memories). Good to know you're still around Aljen!! I thought you disappeared forever like so many talented hackers and fan game makers before you. The project is looking as beautiful if not more than the first time i saw it over at PC, can't wait to play the 1st demo you release.

The way you uses dual/triple screen is really well made. Back at PC, I loved the way it looked (the gif showing the player sealing a crack was my favorite). I look forward to see a demo (:

:D Hi guys, It's me again. I'm moving the PLS from v.16 to v17.2. I would like to hear some feedbacks from everyone, that would help me a lot. The screens got redesigned. (again???!)

This is a very nice project! Congratulations!
Here are some thoughts:
  • You did well to implement widescreen/higher resolution window - and to redesign all the menus and UI in order to properly fit.. (it takes a lot of work, nice!)
  • The summary screen is simple enough to not distract, and looks good as well.
  • As LunarDusk said, Rust could be designed to look a bit more unique. Try removing the scarf maybe? Kobi's eyes seem a little bit big in relation to the other character's eyes. I guess this follows a certain
    style, however if you reduce her eyes' size she might look a bit more natural. It's just what I think about it, nothing too important. All in all, your designs are really cool and fit with the Pokemon style.
    Malive looks perfect to me, I can already picture his traits from the way he stares, his stance and his outfit. This is great character design, so well done!
  • Also, you could design the Town Map/Overworld in a less linear fashion. This is not too important, as far as the maps connect in ways which give the illusion of a coherently interconnected overworld, or
    a "bigger" feeling. But I think that maps should be made last, when most things are in place and you know the amount of towns, routes and other places you wish to implement.
I'm very impressed that you did all that on your own! You must have worked really hard!
I'm patiently waiting for the demo and I hope everything goes well! Good luck!
